He listened to my concerns, and explained my condition, and emergent needs in a very clear manner so that I could make an informed decision. He personally returned phone calls rapidly. My surgery was very involved and with Dr Squillaro's attention, it was successful and with a positive outcome, due to his vast experience. Went to see Dr. Squillaro in Sept. to talk about a tumor that showed up on a cat scan. When we first met him he reviewed it and sent me for a pet scan. After our first visit I knew I didn't have to look any further for a surgeon. He presented me with all our options including some drawings , so we could better understand what exactly had to be done. He was straight forward and explained everything so we could understand fully what my choice's were. The surgery went very well, and I couldn't have been happier with Dr. Squillaro and Jersey Shore Hospital

My visit with Dr Squillaro was very informative about me going through with my operation ..I was very scared and he was so reassuring that he can do the operation with out problems. So I went through the operation with success!!! Thanks to dr. Squillaro I can eat now with NO DISCOMFORT.

On March 23 2021 I was operated for a Hernia located on the top of the chest. Dr. Squillaro performed the surgery and gave me a 2nd chance on life. My surgery was thought to be approximately 2 hours long but it turned into a 6 hour procedure. Dr. Squillaro and his staff were EXCEPTIONAL, they were dedicated and very professional in there duties. when the surgery was completed the Doctor came into my room and told me the surgery was more complex than expected. I had to have my Sm/Large Intestines' realigned my Pancreas and other vital organs needed to repositioned and this was all done laparoscopically. I am so glad Dr. Squillaro was able to perform this surgery. I also want to say this is the most Honest and Trustworthy physician i had ever met. He makes you feel safe and comfortable. 3 1/2 years ago I first met Dr. Squillaro when I was hospitalized with both severe pneumonia and a para esophageal hernia. I was very sick, needed surgery and had all sorts of tests, including chest and abdomen x rays/scans. When a large cyst was found on 1 lung, Dr Squillaro was called in. He was calm, very professional and said he had to determine if the cyst was cancerous and growing. That would entail perhaps a biopsy +/or surgery and he explained them in detail. He paid close attention to the size and over the course of the first year, it stayed stable in size, but over the course of the next 2 years it got smaller and stabilized. Here I am 3 1/2 years out and my most recent apt., I was told that I am good to go and have no further need for his monitoring. He is an honest doctor who does not immediately jump into surgery, like many do, but he waited to properly access my situation. His expertise and calm manner are incredibly reassuring and I would VERY HIGHLY recommend him!

I would highly recommend Dr Squillaro, he does an outstanding job and has a great bedside manner. He takes his time speaking with you after your procedure and goes into detail regarding test results. All in all a wonderful doctor.

I went to see Dr. Squillaro due to an abnormality seen on a scan of my lung that unfortunately, did turn out to be cancer. No one wants to hear that kind of news, but Dr. Squillaro took time to thoroughly explain the process of having the growth removed from my lung robotically. He answered all my questions and was very comforting to talk to. Also, very important to me was that his staff was wonderful with everything and always there for me.

I met Dr.Squillaro at CMC Tom River when I had a biopsy. My lung was punctured and he came in to take care of me. The punctured lung was a blessing because Dr Squillaro told me I had cancer in my upper left lung within 3 weeks he had me scheduled for robotic surgery at Ocean Medical in Brick and removed my upper left lung. I was out of the hospital in 3 days everything was great I couldn't believe how good I felt. It's been 7 weeks and everything is healing fine. All I can say is Dr Squillaro saved my life by removing the cancer. He made me feel confident in the surgery. He is a very skillful surgeon and I would highly recommend him.

In this dark time of rare compassion and with technology taking over sensitivity, it is such a comfort to have found a doctor like Dr. Squillaro. He is an oasis of hope in the desert of despair when it comes to being faced with a serious health condition. When my husband heard the stinging news from his CT scan that showed a very suspicious lung nodule, which is most likely cancer, we, like many, were devastated. Such a disquieting report can cause anxious care to come up into the heart of us both. This is especially challenging due to the fact that my husband is a quadriplegic with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. What may be routine treatment for many, like surgery, is not an option for him. However, with the care and expertise of Dr. Squillaro, he always gives us hope and comfort that we can fight and find options suitable for my husband. It’s been said that the healing process starts with a good doctor. We are so very grateful that we have found an excellent one!

Our cardiologist recommended Dr. Anthony J. Squillaro for my husband’s surgery. We were impressed and made comfortable by a very professional staff. Dr. Squillaro patiently took all the time needed to answer my many questions. He was there immediately before and after the surgery to allay my fears. He promised to do his best for my husband. He did. And he took care of me, too! Thank you, Dr. Squillaro. You could give lessons in doctor-patient relations.

Dr Squillaro took the time to thoroughly explain my condition. He made me feel comfortable with proceeding with the surgery. The surgery went very well and by following his advice I'm feeling better every day. Also his office staff was always ready to answer any questions I had before and after the surgery. Very professional, took a lot of time to figure out what a lot of others doctors couldn’t. He was very kind and took time to explain everything. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Performed VATS procedure at Community Medical Center, and cleared my mother of cancer. He was one of 4 doctors that agreed to discharged my mother stating she only had an infection. Had a CAT scan done and followed up with Dr. Squillaro 2 weeks later. He said everything looks great, and no need to see her again... I had a PET scan done which indicated my mother has stage 4 small cell lung cancer. Mass in the lung, nodules outside of the lung and other locations. Not sure what scans these doctors looked at, or what their procedures proved, but everyone of them were incorrect.

Dr. Squillaro did my surgery. He is second to none. Absolutely an all around good experience for one of the worst 2 weeks of my life.

A few years back, Dr. Squillaro saved my mom’s life by performing emergency surgery to repair an already-ruptured aortic aneurysm. Two weeks ago, he installed an IVC filter to protect her heart and lungs from blood clots in both legs. He is not just an amazing surgeon; his bedside manner is second to none. His skill as a surgeon – and the hugs he gives my mom, are equally why she is still with us!

I first met Dr. Squillaro when I had to have a consult with him regarding s surgical procedure that I needed. In our first meeting, he put me at ease with his soothing personality. He then went on to explain step by step what the procedure would encompass and all of the possible results. I felt very comfortable with his explanations and answers to all of my questions. Dr. Squillaro took the time to answer all of my questions regarding the operation and my follow-up questions afterwards.

Dr.Squillaro removed a wedge of my lung due to lung cancer. He explained everything to me and was very open and honest. After the surgery I did not have any pain, I didn’t even take an aspirin. Dr. Squillaro has made it important for follow up care and follows my progress. Besides being a great surgeon he is a nice guy.

Dr. Squillaro is very caring and compassionate. On my first office visit he actually sat and listened to my whole history without interruption, and did not have his head buried in a laptop! My child suffered a critical injury to a femoral artery and was in danger of losing a leg. 2 weeks after having a loboscomy at a top cancer hospital in the city, I was admitted to the local hospital through the emergency room where I spent 47 days due a serious infection of the chest cavity from the initial surgery. After being treated with many antibiotics with little effect, I met Dr. Squillaro. After performing 3 surgeries, he had successfully removed all of the infection. Throughout the duration, he promised to always do the best he could and was compassionate and understanding.

My husband went to Dr Squillaro’s office two years ago and was very ill. With Dr, Squillaro’s compassionate care, superior knowledge and expertise my husband is functioning well today. Doctor Squillaro treated me for a blocked carotid artery. I found that he explained my condition clearly. He was willing to answer all the questions my wife and I had. He also made himself available for post surgical recovery discussions. Although serious about his craft, he was very easy to talk to. He also did not hide the factc that although the procedure was routine that there were risks; which he explained. I recommend Doctor Squillaro unconditionally.

Dr Squillaro initially treated my wife for a collapsed lung at Monmouth Medical Center. After reviewing the xray to insure that the lung was inflating fully he noticed a spot on the lung that had previously been noticed. He took the initiative to compare the sets of xrays and noticed that the spot had grown considerably. Surgery was scheduled and he removed the upper lobe of the lung since the spot was malignant. No further treatment was necessary and my wife is fully recovered..

A Petscan revealed that my lung cancer may have returned. My oncologist recommended that I make an appointment with Dr. Squillaro. Dr. Squillaro explained the surgery in detail and due to his compassion, he calmed any fears I had concerning the operation. Thanks to his skills, the surgery was a complete success.
