Anthony Gene Pruitt

Doctor Pruitt has been my kids doctor for almost 9 years. I’ve never had a bad experience with him, his nurse has always been great as well. I would never choose a different doctor for my kids.

Doctor Pruitt has been my nephews pediatrician since he was born 15 years ago. But we will gladly find another doctor after the last two experiences in his office. They left us waiting for over an hour while his nurse sat talking to the front desk women, the staff told me that I couldn’t bring my nephew to his appointment that I made for him. Then I was told the appointment I made wasn’t for what I made it for so we needed to rush our visit. It took three phone calls and four days to get them to fill a prescription. So they have an argumentative, combative staff, and an unmotivated rude nurse who let certain patients wait for hours while getting others right in to see the doctor. I’m sorry, but the doctor isn’t worth it.

The two worst experiences I’ve ever had at a professional establishment. The first visit I scheduled was for medications and a well check visit but when I tried to discuss medications with Dr. Pruitt I was told that my appointment wasn’t for medications, that I needed to talk to someone else about HIS PATIENTS MEDICATION NEEDS! Because he didn’t have time. The second visit they left us sitting in the waiting room for 20 minutes during a pandemic with sick people all around us and when I asked how much longer it would be? I was told “At least another half hour” because the doctor is sooo good to his patients, he doesn’t like to rush them… I’m sorry!! A good doctor doesn’t leave his patients waiting on him in a waiting room filled with sick people for over an hour while his nurse talks and laughs with staff about NOTHING JOB RELATED… When I asked how much longer we would have to wait, I was asked who the patient was? as if they let certain people sit and wait while helping others.. worst doctors office EVER!!! Dr. Pruitt has been my nephews doctor for 15 years, but after this?? We’ll gladly find another physician, one that actually honors appointments and takes the time to see their patients and care for their medicinal needs.

Pruitt is by far the best pediatrician! We’ve taken our son there after an awful first pediatrician. He listens and doesn’t rush you. He cares so much about your child and even YOU. He lets you ask tons of questions and doesn’t seem annoyed that you’re asking them. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone

I am very displeased with Dr. Anthony Pruitt and his staff. I've been taking my boys to him well over a year. He performed a circumcision on my son and failed. He put the ring back too far which ended us up at primary childrens where they had to cut the ring off due to loss of circulation. I took my oldest son in for a flu shot and the nurse was in such a hurry she ran into the room we were supposed to meet her in so we had to guess which room we were supposed to go in, then stuck the needle in and out really fast and left her mess on the table and walked out. They are all very inconsiderate and rude. When I asked Pruitt a question he would respond with arrogance at every appointment and he would talk so fast I could not understand what he's saying and then sound frustrated after asking him to repeat himself. Dr Pruitt has been our pediatrician for our five kids for over 13 years. He is so patient and caring. He is so good at explaining things in a way we can understand. Our kids love him!

Dr. Pruitt always takes the time to talk with us about any concerns we might have. He can speak normal people language too. He doesn’t make you feel dumb by only using medical terminology that patients and parents don’t understand.

I am a psychologist and just wanted to give a "Shout Out" to Dr. Pruitt. After hearing over a dozen parents sing his praises as a wonderful, caring doc I thought I should document it.

Waited an hour to get in for our 4 month appointment. He was very quick with the visit, rushing through the visit and not taking time to really talk and answer questions. The lady helping had obscenely long nails and kept poking my baby and could not get her blood pressure because the nails kept getting in the way and was short tempered with me for not holding my baby still. Dr. Pruitt is very friendly and nice, but I don't believe we will return.
