Been with other therapists over 20 years, and did some good work with them. However, Anthony brought me over the top and set me on the path of being well. He challenged me to heal and gave me the strength and insight that others did not, or could not. I am finally able to breath and trust the process of healing.

After seeing a handful of counselors, I went to Anthony Pastore for counseling during an ongoing time of crisis and a background of trauma. While I agree that if you just want a hand holder then he is not the counselor you want. But if you have the courage to truly want to heal and grow and will do the work, he is excellent. He will challenge you, but he truly cares, and he helped me immensely.

Yes, I would recommend friends. But he is NOT for people who want a hand holder. He is for someone who is willing to do the WORK of getting better. He interacts and pushes some.

Is not trustworthy, does not remember discussions or issues from one session to the next. He does not keep sessions confidential or professional.

He lacks basic counseling techniques and knowledge of mental health disorders.

There's a reason he's ranked 1.9 out of 5.0. Good luck getting a call back.
