Dr. Anthony Wayne Macasieb

Several visits now after leaving novant health. No comparison, novant Dr's have an agenda and a limited allotment of time to spend per patient. I have not experienced that here, Dr Macasieb always takes the necessary time needed to explain.

He used to be a very good doctor. But more and more thru the years, he has stopped listening to his patients and you end up having to send his nurse or the ladies at the front to get someone to go ask him.

Sadly his office is falling apart. While you are in the treatment rooms you can hear them taking about patients. So unprofessional. Now he has a PA who sees you instead of Dr M. He is young and very condescending. Phone calls aren’t returned, lab results are not followed up on. All the turnover in staff is alarming. He’s constantly shoving his wife’s ReShape practice down your throat. If I wanted spa treatment it wouldn’t be there.

Great experience everyone real nice I have been going there for years Dr. Macasieb a great doctor.

Dr. Macasieb has been my Doctor for almost two years. He is extremely personable and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Macasieb is one of the all too rare doctors that actually listens to you and never makes you feel rushed or that you're holding him up. I absolutely adore him.

I have been using Dr Macasieb for 19 years now. He is a wonderful Doctor who is not just trying to push pills. Gets to know his patients and finds best course of action. Highly recommend him and his practice!

I have been with Trinity for 20 years. I have always been treated with respect By both is physician and staff. my only negative that I have seen recently is the office staff and nurses have taken a very lackadaisical approach to their jobs. not returning patient calls and getting prescriptions filled that have been requested is something that needs to be dealt with swiftly and with reprimands that show their jobs are important.

I do not like to take medications but will if it is absolutely necessary, when discussing this with Dr. Macasieb, he has worked with me in guiding me in choosing the correct whole-food supplement for certain conditions. I never felt rushed in or out of the exam room, at one time, Dr. Macasieb spent 40 minutes talking with me to get to the root of a stress-related problem that was causing me symptoms that appeared to be of a medical nature.

I was referred to Dr. Macasieb due to the fact that he works with patients that need anti-anxiety meds, sleep medicine. Before completely dropping my psychiatrist (which can take months to get an appointment with), I spent several appointments making sure the Dr. was comfortable with me and writing these scripts and I was comfortable with him. Since he was prescribing an anti-anxiety med, he wanted to see me a few times to get to know me, which is completely understandable. However, instead of trying to generally understand my anxiety, the first two to three times I met with him, he spent 1/2 hour to 45 minutes giving me pseudo therapy and delved into personal issues such as my marriage. He is not a therapist. I mentioned that I had a therapist and I am happy to give the number, but he overlooked my attempt. Each month, from May 2015 to October 2015, he prescribed an anti-anxiety med. He also prescribed sleep med in May 2015. The sleep med did not work so I did not ask for refills for months. During my wellness appointment in Oct, he gave me my refill of an anti-anxiety med, but I forgot to ask about a different sleep medicine (at this point I was not sleeping well at all). I called back the office the same day to get a refill on a different sleep medicine with a suggestion of things that have worked in the past (non-controlled). After talking to the office manager, she passed the message on to Monica, CNA, who I talked to but she had to call me back. I did not hear from Monica, so I called back a day or two after and talked to a nurse, who gave me conflicting information and complicated things even more. I was so exasperated that I told the nurse to forget it. When I went to pick up labs, I thought I would talk to the office manager in person. She listened, was contrary to everything I said, and zero apology on her end. In my opinion, if Dr. Macasieb cared, he would have called me in a case like this. Although I HAD TO call the office several times and there was definitely confusion on their end, I was always calm and respectful when talking to his staff. I say this because I was literally awe struck when I received a certified letter stating that Dr. Macasieb discharged me. This was not only shocking, but irresponsible since anti-anxiety meds CAN’T be abruptly stopped. To get an appointment with a psychiatrist can take weeks to months. At this point, the doctor should not be prescribing any medicines dealing with anxiety, sleep, and/or depression. If he felt uncomfortable with me or the situation at hand, he should have talked to me about it and given me enough time to find a doctor. He and his staff are incompetent, he gives unsolicited therapy, or, as he puts it, "loving" advice. It is clear that Dr. Macasieb does not care and can’t handle this type of situation.
