Dr. Anthony A Emmer

This is the best doctor ever! Dr Emmer actually cares about his patients and he listens to his patience he does not rush through his appointments either. I could not ask for a better neurologist and I will keep referring him to anybody who needs a neurologist. Dr Emmer deserves to be Top Doc in Michigan every year!

USELESS IS WHAT I WOULD SAY ABOUT HIM....HE SPENT 5 MINUTES WITH ME....ORDERED AN MRI AND ASKED ME TO RETURN IN 3 MONTHS!!!

Office staff is unprofessional. Sara, who works in billing, left me a message on February 16th 2022 repeating herself 3x she was stuck billing my claim as “workman comp” and I didn’t provide that info. It was my first time being struck by a motorized vehicle as a pedestrian, I did give that info, but…. Since I have health insurance through my employer, and MI is no longer providing care through auto no-fault, it is just confusing. I didn’t intentionally try to “stick them” as Sara said on my vm 3x. What was deeply disappointing was that my health insurance had already processed the claim on February 7th. The abrasive, condescending phone call I received was totally unnecessary and resulted in increased anxiety, stress and unnecessary harm.

Unfortunately I was not allowed to see the doctor as they refuse to see any work related injury, even if you offer to self pay. Getting an appointment with a neurologist usually takes a 3-6 month wait, they did have appointments within 1-2 months here. Actually being able to see one and get evaluated/treated is harder with all the Covid restrictions: if you have a cough, you have to reschedule, even though you tested negative for Covid. Then finally, you go and they refuse to see you because you have work related injury, even though you have other issues unrelated and are willing to self pay. Have been referred to Dr. Emmer. It needs to be said Robina was very polite, helpful and thorough with helping to schedule an appointment and even offered to put on a cancellation waiting list .She was a breath of fresh air . Looking forward to meeting Dr. Emmer if he’s as professional and kind as Robina .. it should be a gratifying experience. Robina practices the golden rule. ???????? ????. Our family was fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Emmer for treatment of Trigeminal neuralgia for my 91 year old mother. Over the past 2 years we had been to other Neurology doctors but no one was even close to as helpful at Dr. Emmer. The attention he provided was as good as it gets and the results are already amazing (10 days ago). My mom can talk again, eat again and drink again. Thank you Dr Emmer. Never been so humiliated before by a so called health care professional. He is racist he told me get my hands off him.He was performing a EMG by the second part of test qhich involved needles he had awaken all my nerves i explained to him i was in severe pain and needed a break he then preceded with the needles he stuck the needle all the way in my thigh. Cauaing excruciating pain my instincts was to pull his hand away he looked me in my eye and would not move the needle and kept saying to me don't touxh me !!! Dr. Emmer is a thoughtful and pragmatic physician. He is thorough and knowledgeable, and cares about his patients. I am grateful to have him as my physician and I am confident he has my best interest at heart.

I went to Dr.Emmer for an IME for a short term disability claim through my work. I felt he was engaging, thorough and listened. I liked him enough to believe he’d be a wonderful doctor to actually have. This doctor was my third opinion and compared to the 2nd opinion neurologist and the many I’ve seen he definitely ranks in the top. Did not exude any type of arrogance like most specialists do, which was refreshing!

Not sure if doc is good or bad the staff needs to give patients the right information firs they scheduled me for a day the doctor was going on vacation so I rescheduled came in for appointment was turned away because they didn’t tell me I needed other information to be seen wasted day & 43.00 in cab fair

Dr. Emmer listens and asks relevent questions. He orders appropriate tests and prescribes for conditions as needed.

Be aware of the drugs he prescribes to you or your loved one , otherwise you will regret it for the rest of your life !
