Dr. Lacasse is the only doctor who finally helped to cure my son's acne! Went to numerous other dermatologists before finally someone recommended her to me. Too bad I didn't know about her from the beginning!

Snobbish Doctor with under knowledgeable staff. The dr has a judgmental attitude and behaved very condescending towards me. Her nurse practitioner diagnosed me with something that wasn’t accurate. Then when I went back to see the owner of the practice, she couldn’t even tell me what it was. Needless to say I am going to be looking for another dermatologist. You never actually get to see Dr. Lacassee (even when you request her) I have been to this office three times and they always send a Nurse practitioner in. To make matters worse they also send in male students while you are getting a full body skin exam. They don’t ask if you are comfortable with it they just do it. I will not be returning to this place. I don’t trust students and NP’s to detect my skin cancer. If you are paying to see a dermatologist then that is what you should see! Waited over a half hour after my appointment time to be seen when everyone was just standing around behind the desk, I even came 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork since it was my first time there. When I was seen, it was the student doctor and a nurse that saw me and discussed things, they were nice, but didn’t really listen to any of my concerns. Then Dr. LaCasse came in for ONLY two minutes, IF THAT! She didn’t listen to anything I said or tell me what I could do for any of my skin concerns. Very unprofessional. They told me they were sending an acne thing to a “special pharmacy” over in clarkston and that they would mail it to me within that next week, and it’s been 3 weeks now and haven’t gotten anything. I’m supposed to go back for a follow up in exactly a week, but how can I if I haven’t received the script the follow up is for? I will never return to this office. They also have no concern over patients time since they only gave me appointment times I had to get my kid from school. Giving 2 stars because the student doctor actually did what she was supposed to do. Zero stars for dr. LaCasse. Total SCAM... I saw the doctor for about 2 minutes to advise for a yeast infection. After a 15 or second inspection the doctor gave me several trail packets and a prescription for Alcortin A. I used it 4 times a day for a month and saw/felt zero results. In fact it only got worse. I researched and found the manufacturer advised not using for a prolonged time. I called the doctor office to enquire and the staff told be to just continue using as often it takes many months to see results. After a month of Alcortin A use with no results I was referred to a product called Emuaid. I used it exactly three days 3 times a day and after the 3rd day the yeast infection was totally gone. This was a very visible rash that hurt like hell and was solid red and purple at times. The Emuaid almost instantly killed it. Whereas Alcortin A simply prolonged it. The prescription for Alcortin A is $9400... Not once was I told of this insane cost. Only that it was an expensive prescription. $9400 is plain and simple monetary rape! The doctor obviously benefits from passing patients to a grotesque drug manufacturer... This particular drug manufacturer has been in the news recently as they are the ones that hiked prices astronomically as a way to steal from patients and insurance companies. Any doctor that prescribes these grotesque drugs is obviously as criminal as the drug company that makes them. Below is one of the many news articles about the scam created around the bogus drug Alcortin A. Even in an age when prescription drugs are increasingly expensive, a $9,500 tube of gel to combat scaly skin can gain notice — especially when the price spikes 128 percent overnight. That’s what happened earlier this month when a little-known company called Novum Pharma suddenly hiked wholesale prices for all three of its dermatology products by whopping amounts. We were curious. So we started poking around to learn more about Novum Pharma. ONE PERSON CLOSER What did we learn? It appears to be a furtive vehicle for scooping up older medicines from other companies and then boosting prices significantly. And its chief executive did the very same thing at a previous job, at Horizon Pharma. Let’s start at the beginning: Novum bought three gels to treat skin conditions in March of 2015. Two months after it acquired them, it jacked up the prices tenfold. That’s right, tenfold. For instance, the wholesale price for Alcortin A, a gel used to treat dermatitis and eczema, went from $226 to $2,995. There was another big price hike earlier this year. And this month, Novum boosted prices again. Alcortin A and Aloquin each now list for $9,561 per tube. And the wholesale price for its Novacort gel rose to $7,142 from $4,186 for a small tube, according to Truven Health Analytics. With an army of mostly young and attractive sales reps (type in “Novum Pharma” on LinkedIn to see for yourself), getting doctors to write scripts may not be too difficult. Still, we wanted to know more about the rationale for the price hikes, which were first reported by The Financial Times. A Novum spokesman sent us a statement insisting the prices were inaccurate and saying they include “thousands of dollars in extra charges” added by third-party middlemen and passed on to patients. “This practice reflects one of the many fundamental challenges inherent in the healthcare system today that add to the cost of access for patients,” the statement said. In short, Novum appears to be working hard to keep the lowest possible profile. But that may be more difficult now that it’s drawn public attention for huge price hikes. In fact, the company — which contracts with a manufacturer in New Jersey where its gels are actually made — may find itself held up as yet another example of a rapacious purveyor of medicines. I will never come back here. This place is a total scam and all they want is your money. I should have known this after I came in for a mole removal and they insisted I make a separate skin check appointment a month later. Why it couldn't have been done on the same day is beyond me-but being that I have fair skin with lots of moles I figured what the heck. The part that really bothers me, though, is that the day of the skin check, she finds a "suspicious spot" right where the mole had been removed previously. She says she absolutely needs to send it in for testing. Well guess what-she removed my scar from the prior months mole removal. When I called the office to discuss my concern, they gave me some ridiculous answer stating this "happens all the time." Really? Shouldn't a board certified doctor know the difference between a basal cell carcinoma and a scar? Total fraud and scam. I will never ever come back to this place. Find another dermatologist in the area. There are plenty. I will never come back here. This place is a total scam and all they want is your money. I've been treated by Dr Lacasse and members of her team for about 5 years. Never had a problem. Sometimes a bit of a wait, but that's what happens when customers (i.e. patients) keep coming back for great service. I just made an appointment, and while googling for the phone number I was surprised to see a bad review, so I thought I'd post my own experience to refute it. Dr. Lacasse is a godsend! Her treatments are miracle workers and she has been so kind to me and accommodating of my bad financial situation. She and her staff are all very professional and I have had no problems with them at all. If you need a dermatologist in the area, Dr. Lacasse is the one to go to.

My first visit here. My little bump I had for what seemed like forever was gone in literally five minutes. No pain whatsoever with the procedure. Incredibly happy and would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you Dr. Lacasse, your personality and care in taking care of me was bar none! The staff is also wonderful! (:

I have been going to Doctor Lacasse for over ten years, and she is awesome!! She doesn't mess around she gets down to business and she doesn't take chances with your health. Because of insurance I had to go to another Dermatologist but I have decided she is worth going back to even if I have to pay a higher co pay.
