Dr. Annabelle Leah Fonseca

I received a call that my mother had been transferred from a "hospital" in the Florida panhandle that had nearly killed her to USA in Mobile. I immediately flew to Alabama hoping to take my Mom back to California for treatment, but then I met Dr. Fonseca and I KNEW the best care she would get was at USA. Not only is Dr. Fonseca BRILLIANT she really cared about my mom. I am agnostic but I can not explain how my mother landed in the hands of a Yale trained surgeon who actually cared about her on the Gulf Coast. I could never thank her enough for treating my mom as her cancer surgeon or for treating me with compassion! She listened to me answered my questions and never rushed me. She even teared up while "I cried on her shoulder literally " THIS IS WHAT MEDICAL CARE SHOULD LOOK LIKE. Dr. Fonseca is an amazing accomplished person, and a BRILLIANT surgeon, but she has not forgotten to be a human being 1st!
