Anna Maria Pou

I was very impressed by my visit with Dr. Pou. She explained my condition, and showed me my films of where my problem was located. I did not feel rushed, and I found Dr Pou very relaxing to speak with. I would recommend Dr Pou to anyone that needs an E.N.T. physician.

Dr. Pou treated me for tongue cancer in 2013 at Mary Byrd. I can't praise her enough for her professional and personal care that she gives. I considered it a privilege to have had her and her staff to work with.

I just had a tumor removed from my neck and not only did Dr.Pou and her residents exceed my expectations with a good ending result, but so did the Lady of the lake nursing staff. I thank God that I have not been a hospital patient professional but with elderly in laws I have been through quite a few hospitals and Lady of the Lake staff take the prize. I thank every single one of you in particular Craig and Candace whom were my nurses that tended to my every need. I am still in the healing process but wanted to let everyone out there ASAP how much people at your hospital really care. Thank you all once again. The best doctor I have ever met. My father has a very aggressive form of cancer. We went to Dr Pou as a second opinion and I am so glad I did. Up to this point my Dad felt that none of his doctors would take the time to explain what’s was his situation. The previous doctors seemed to always be in a rush (I understand they are busy). Since it was very difficult for my Dad to speak, he would just sit there in the doctor’s office while the doctors evaluated him, and none of the doctors seemed like they truly had time to cure the spirit. Wow what a change with Dr Pou! On our first visit, she spent over an hour and a half with my Dad evaluating him. She took the time to show him the pictures she was looking at what she saw. For the first time, my Dad truly understood his situation and the importance of acting. We are still in treatment stage but I will try and follow up with the results later.
