Dr Anna Barbieri is the definition of health CARE She is Supreme and I am sure the best in the business

My first appointment was extremely thorough and Dr. Barbieri took the time to carefully review my history, explain in detail my treatment options and make some thoughtful suggestions. I never felt rushed and am grateful to the friend who recommended Dr. Barbieri to me.

I would not recommend Dr Barbieri. I was pregnant with my first baby but lost the baby because she didn't want to see me before 8 weeks of pregnancy. I have asked to come earlier but she said no need before 8 weeks. After the loss it took me 2 years to get pregnant again. She was aware of the autoimmune decease that I had so a knowledgeable doctor would definitely see me as soon as I was able to get pregnant. If you have difficult time getting pregnant then Dr Barbieri should not be your choice. I hope this will save someone's baby life. I would not recommend Dr Barbieri. I highly recommend Dr. Barbieri and her office to anyone. She not only took her time but made me feel at ease. She answered all of my questions and was attentive to my needs.

The office looks like it was redesigned and looks great. I didn’t have a long wait which is always good. Dr. Barbieri is always friendly and thorough. And I like the easy way of getting results on tests. Thank you for always giving me great service

Dr. Barbieri is the quintessential doctor: thorough, compassionate, attentive, and holistic in her approach! My entire visit, from the from door through leaving (in less than 1 hour, including completing all forms), was pleasant and comfortable!

Dr. Barbieri is fantastic! I moved to NYC last year from LA and had a horrible gyno back there. I was so nervous to go back in to a new one, but Dr. Barbieri made me very comfortable. I strongly recommend Dr. Barbieri. In a time when most visits are extremely rushed, as a new patient, she sat with me for a few minutes before beginning my annual exam to get to know my background and current situation. She is especially knowledgeable in issues faced by women during the sensitive mid life years and I instantly felt comfortable in her care. When appropriate, she conducts follow ups via conference call rather than requiring an office visit to go over results and recommendations. I strongly recommend Dr. Barbieri. Dr. Barbieri pressured me into a c-section, then botched the c-section procedure itself, leading me to hemorrhage and nearly die 9 days later. She made childbirth the most dehumanizing experience of my life. And while I’m grateful for the lives of our children, I live with the trauma of their entry into the world every day.

I had an emergency c section and felt very comfortable. She explained everything and made me feel at ease.

Dr. Barbieri is one of the most caring doctors that I've worked with. She truly invests in my health an well being. Dr. Barbieri looks at a patient as a whole. She is easy to communicate with and has a wonderful bedside manner.

Dr. Barbieri is the best OBGYN I've ever been to. She is kind, takes time with her patients and makes sure you understand any diagnoses she makes. For me, she finally diagnosed an underlying hormonal issue that I always suspected I had but was not taken seriously by other OBs. She then worked with me to treat it, both with medicine but also diet. She then followed up and helped throughout my health journey, which made all the difference. Dr. Barbieri is truly the greatest OBGYN doctor. Her professionalism and standard of care is first-rate. Equally important, her advice and calm demeanor helped make my c-section a memorable experience. I am thankful that she delivered my babies and am grateful for her sound medical advice.

I have had a very good experience with Dr. Barbieri as my GYN (I did not join her practice until after I was done having children so I can't speak to the OB aspects of the practice). She is personable, asks questions, was not dismissive of my concerns (followed up on them), and explained what she was doing as she was doing it in the exams. I am pretty finicky with doctors and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Barbieri. Dr. Barbieri was my Ob/Gyn for roughly a decade until I moved out of the city. She was amazing in every way, particularly given the complexity of some of my medical issues. She always made me feel at ease and was incredibly attentive, with a bedside manner that far exceeds that of any doctor I have ever had. Early last year, I had a miscarriage, during which she and all the other doctors in the group attended to me. They were all amazing! I would highly recommend the entire team.

Worst service ever!

First off I want to state that I was referred to this practice by another Mt. Sinai physician. I myself am the daughter of a physician and nearly my entire family is comprised of physicians, OBs included, so I understand how busy and stressed doctors are. That does NOT excuse the following care I've received: Dr. Barbieri has been my OB for the past 2 years. I got abnormal results from my pap and I have been trying to get in touch with her since 3/29 to discuss my results to no avail. I've emailed her via the patient portal 3 times (they are all still unread) and called the office numerous times though no call back from her. Dr. Barbieri told me I didn't even need to get a pap smear done since I had one last year - maybe that's the new standard but I'm not comfortable with it and I felt like i had to convince HER to give ME a pap. Thank god I insisted. Dr. Averbuch called me back instead regarding my abnormal results. I found her to be extremely dismissive and it was like pulling teeth to get information out of her. Not to mention, my appointment was 2.5 hours late and I felt EXTREMELY rushed through my appointment with Dr. Barbieri. Needless to say, I pointed out a lump to her that I felt about a month prior to my appointment. She referred me to a radiologist and the biopsy came back as cancerous. Again, thank God i felt the lump because who knows if she would have found it during how RUSHED she was throughout my appointment. I have called her 3 times, emailed her again via the patient portal, and AGAIN she has failed to call me to discuss my results for now a FULL 3 DAYS SINCE RECEIVING A CANCER DIAGNOSIS. Dr. Averbuch did, to which again I stated that I would like to speak to MY physician directly. There was no chance I was going to endure her tone again. I am SO disappointed, upset and frustrated. I would advise women to STAY AWAY from this practice. The standard of care and lack of follow up and communication is horrendous. We deserve better. I have been a patient of Dr. Anna Barbieri's for 10+ years. She has heard and diagnosed every complaint, been cautious when needed and pursued issues when necessary with appropriate care. I have been a patient of Dr. Barbieri for almost 10 years and she has delivered my 3 children. I also work in the health field myself and can wholeheartedly say that she is the best doctor. She is friendly, warm, has excellent bedside manner and is always available when needed. I’ve even recommended her to several of my friends who also share the same sentiment. Her staff is very friendly and always try their best to help you. I’m always sad whenever I no longer need to go as frequent postpartum

I've been to this (collective) office 3 x's- every time super difficult. To make a yearly exam, you have to preplan 2 months in advance, and now after 2/3 years, I have a more serious issue and there's no availability for about a month and a half- so I ask "do I need to find a new doctor?" They say no, the on call doctor will call you to access wether you can be squeezed in... guess who never called back until 2 more calls, and then dismissed my symptoms....word to the wise, get a new Doctor!

The staff isthe worst ever!!!! i am changing OBG just because of that they make you feel your annoying, never smiled, always barking at you it is always a rush, nobody has time.. and even the nurse are means! and when you are expecting a baby this is really frustrating Don't go there if you want a nice and warm environment!!!!
