Everyone at the Williams Eye Institute, from the receptionists to the technicians to my surgeon, Dr. Ann Williams, treated me with friendly kindness and courtesy. They alleviated my anxiety. Dr. Ann Williams explained everything about the surgery, and patiently answered all my many questions. She made me feel like I was her most important patient, and I’m sure she instills that same feeling in all her patients. The surgery was pain-free, with minimal discomfort. With corrective implants, I can drive without glasses or contacts for the first time in my life. I can play the organ and piano, and work at my computer without reading glasses for the first time in twenty years. I can see better than I have for decades, thanks to the outstanding skills that Dr. Ann Williams possesses. The people at the institute may tell you that they do cataract surgery, but really, with professional skill and a gentle touch, they work miracles. I highly recommend them to anyone needing cataract surgery.

I knew I was in good hands from the very first visit. It’s natural to be nervous or even scared, but the whole staff did everything they possibly could to make me feel at ease. They guided me every step of the way making sure I understood what was going to happen or what was happening. Dr. Williams is so kind and gentle. I never felt afraid. She is, indeed, a gifted surgeon. I’m so glad I found her and now feel I should let others, who are contemplating surgery, know about her. One other thing that impressed me so much was their sanitizing procedures. Someone was always cleaning / sanitizing every step of the way which made me feel protected as much as possible during these Covid days. Make an appointment! You will be highly satisfied!

I first visited Dr. Ann Williams for a second opinion regarding Cataract surgery. I am delighted that I did. My entire experience at The Williams Eye Institute in Hammond, IN has been excellent. The facility itself is comfortable and very clean. Every member of the staff that I encountered was friendly, helpful, professional and efficient. This is a busy practice but I never felt like a number. I was always kept informed of the individual steps in my treatment. The efficiency and professionalism of the office and surgery center staff gave me great confidence that I was getting the best care available. Never did I feel that I was being directed down a path to generate the most income for the practice but rather advised as to my current health situation and the options for my treatment. My bi-lateral cataract surgery is a complete success and I am delighted with the outcome. Thank you Dr. Ann.

Just finished the cataract surgery with the $4,800 special lens. I was not sure what to expect from my vision and I repeatedly asked if some kind of gauge could be used to help me tell how much my vision was approved, if improved at all. I still see halos around the street lights and I do have to hold the newspaper at a distance in order to make out the words. My eyes are now outdoor light sensitive which may improve with time. My expectation was 20 20 vision and no more wearing of glasses. I was shocked when the doctor gave me a prescription for glasses. It just makes me think a little, did I get the specialized lens or the standard lens that just removed the cataracts which would have cost me only $200 dollars. I was also surprised to receive an Anesthesia bill. Wasn't told about that. Was also surprised to pay $100+ for the eye drops. They really did not disclose the full cost of the procedure as well as a potential for a negative outcome.

Recently had cataract surgery in both eyes done by Dr. Ann and I am very pleased with the professionalism and efficiency of Dr. Ann, the office, and the clinic. Their COVID protocol is excellent and my surgery went very well. I would highly recommend Williams clinic for eye care and cataract surgery.

I have struggled with my eye sight my ENTIRE life wearing thick glasses and hard contacts to eventually wearing contacts with prescription glasses over my contacts! As a nurse I Sometimes struggled to see even with both contacts and glasses. I have seen many Doctors in Chicago and up North none of them able to help me. Lasik was never an option because they said my eyes were just too bad. I was told about Dr. Ann Williams by a friend and went to see her immediately. The staff was amazing and super friendly and the wait time was minimal. When I saw Dr. Williams she said , “ I can definitely help you “ I couldn’t believe it ! We scheduled the surgery and I am now seeing for the first time in 45 years WITHOUT GLASSES OR CONTACTS ! I can’t begin to thank Dr.Williams for her amazing expertise and compassion!! Every safety precaution was taken. The procedure went exactly as described. Oral and written instructions were provided before, during, and after the procedure in a clear, easily understood manner. The procedure was painless and pleasant. Received wellness follow up telephone call after the procedure. Appointment reminders were received. Anything that could have been expected was provided. Everyone was cheerful, polite and helpful. My vision is excellent and I could not be happier.

I have serious problems with my eyes and Dr. Williams has been my primary Eye doctor for several years. She has been thorough, attentive, professional and respectful to me the whole time.

Having cataract surgery on both eyes was a good experience. It is surgery and should be taken seriously. But with a great and friendly staff, they make it a good experience. I was pleasantly surprised when I was in the second waiting area, and I must say the Patients couldn't be friendlier. It passed the time and good conversations was had by all. I've been to the Hammond location 5 times each time the patients made my day. I look forward to that waiting area to catch up with the patients on my next visit. Great job Dr. Ann on my eyes.

The only place for cataract surgery in Indiana. Surgery is a simple 20 minute, painless operation and restored my vision to 20/20. Dr. Williams is the best.

I've been a patient of Dr. Ann Williams since 2014. Her approach to my individual needs and the kind, caring staff that work at this clinic have made my recovery a positive experience instead of a negative one. They were very thorough in the explanation of my required treatment and the potential outcome. They all took the time to make sure I was treated as their only patient in a very busy office. The appointment hours vary and accommodated my busy work schedule. Overall a very positive experience.
