Ann Halbower

I experienced service from Dr. Halbower during her tenure at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Md. I hate to say but she was the worst children's doctor I have ever encountered. My son, who was 4 at the time, had constant ear infections and would vomit in his sleep every night. All Dr. Halbower did was prescribe antibiotics. She refused to remove his adenoids and tonsils stating he will outgrow his condition. She chastised me for missing his appointments because I had to work while refusing to fill out my FMLA paperwork stating that I did not need it as his appointments were once per month. As I stated he had constant ear infections so I was already forced to miss work on days his school would send him home which was twice a week. When she did fill out the FMLA paperwork she completed stating I only needed 1 day. I left her practice and found a better ENT who after examining my son scheduled surgery to remove his adenoids and tonsils. Unfortunately at the time it was too late as my child has permanent hearing loss and the lack of oxygen from not being able to breathe properly caused developmental delays. Stay clear of this doctor!
