Love Dr. Mekhail. He has excellent bed side manner and has the best interest of the patient at heart. His care and compassion is amazing. He did my revision. I’m very happy with his work.

Dr Mekhail is great! Had surgery with a different surgeon over a year ago. It did not help. Came to Dr Mekhail for a third opinion, when the other 2 said they couldn't see anything that could be causing my pain. Dr Mekhail did perform a surgery that helped immensely. I am sorry that I did not come to see him first. I highly recommend him!

Doctor Mekhail is excellent, I could not walk on my right foot for a year, Dr. Mekhail performed surgery on my back and three months later I was walking and playing golf with no pain, thank you Doctor.

I have been struggling with Sciatica for a number of years, while experiencing the worse pain/discomfort in my entire life for a number of months prior to having Dr. Mekhail performing the microdiscectomy procedure between my L4-L5 vertibrea due to a bulged/herniated disc pressing on the nerve. It got to the point that I was having to use a wheelchair to get around prior to having the procedure and getting worse every day. My appointment with Dr. Mekhail was the best thing that could have happened to me, as he had ensured that the microdiscectomy procedure was needed in my case. Once the out-patient procedure was completed, I was able to stand up straight without pain and without any discomfort. I truly appreciate how Dr. Mekhail was able to perform this procedure with confidence in his ability as well as his vast knowledge of the spine! I would invite anyone that has any discomfort form the back to make a consultation appointment with Dr. Mekhail at Parkview Orthopaedic Group!

100% pain relief. If I had known from day 1 what I know now, I would have seen the doctor of day 1 of pain, had the MRI on day 2 and the surgery on day 3.

I would like to thanks Dr Mekhail and the entire team. They were so wonderful. I went in to visit them with 2 herniated discs. I was in terrible pain. Dr Mekhail and his staff were so great at getting tests and e-xrays read and putting a plan of action into place. 2 weeks later I was scheduled for surgery. I felt instant relief when I woke up from surgery. I felt like a new man. If you are on the fence weather or not to get a surgery similar to mine, i don't know what you are waiting for. You will be so happy almost instantly. This is a great Dr surrounded by a great support staff. Thanks for fixing me.

Said I have to live with my condition. Found another doctor n he is going to do surgery to fix my back. He is worst doctor ever

Dr mekhhail changed my life for the better. When I first went to see him I was in so much pain I could not lift my grand babies get up of the floor and I had pain down my legs. He is very passionate about helping people and takes the time to explain your options and helps you along the way. His NP Jim Henna is excellent

Dr. Mekhail honestly changed my life for the better. Before my surgery for my herniated disc, I was living in constant pain with shooting pain down my right leg. Since the surgery, I feel good as new and am living a new life pain-free. I am able to live a much better life because of him and for that I will always be grateful for the new life he gave me.

I have been seeing Dr. Mekhail for my chronic back issues for five years. At every single appointment, he makes sure I am well-equipped with information regarding my spinal issues as well as ways to fix them. I can tell that Dr. Mekhail really cares about his patients and he has always helped me to choose what solution is right for me and my pain, be it surgical or non-surgical. His associate, Jim Hanna, is also an amazing nurse practitioner and has been just as wonderful and informative as him during appointments. Dr. Mekhail is one of the best doctors I have ever been to.

Dr. Mekhail is an excellently skilled surgeon who I would recommend highly over and over again. I have undergone two spinal surgeries with him, cervical and lumbar and he relieved me of all my pain. I had major back surgery in March of 2020, care of Dr. Mekhail in hospital was great. Never in rush,answered all questions and kept myself and family well informed. After surgery vists during virus of 2020 was done very professionally done yet again in no rush, took time to explain what to expect. As for surgery pain is about 99.9% gone. Just what Dr. Mekhail stated before surgery has happened in the positive way. Bottom line...THANK YOU DR. MEKHAIL FOR TAKING CARE OF ME.

With all going on in the world and the unique conditions when visiting the doctors office, my visit to Dr. Mekhail and his associate was an efficient and pleasant one.

Would highly recommend Dr. Mekhail. After suffering in pain for half a year was referred to Dr. Mekhail who performed surgery on my neck and I'm pain free. He and his staff were extremely pleasant and made me feel at ease during the whole process. Nothing but high praise.

Very, very good orthopaedic (I've seen many). Did my laminectomy, my second in a lifetime, as an outpatient. I healed quickly and wasn't off my feet at all, including the day after the surgery. Discusses all options. Compassionate, kind, sensitive. Jim Hannah assists Dr. Mekhail and he is also outstanding. I recommend the team to everyone.

I had spent the last few years with stabbing nerve pain in my hip, growing increasingly worse over time. Based on my MRI, Dr. Mekhail recommended and performed a spinal fusion. Six weeks post-surger I am pain-free and couldn't be happier with the result. Dr. Mekhail has been top-notch in every aspect of this situation, along with PA Jim Hanna, and the entire staff at Parkview. I highly recommend Dr. Mekhail and Parkview Orthopedics.

Dr. Mekhail recommended surgery for a herniated disc in my neck. He stated that the disc would be replaced and the pain would go away. The insurance nazis said therapy first, then epidural. 2 months later, the insurance nazis wanted a second opinion. The second opinion was from Harvard's medical school's main Dr.. He recommended surgery as well. 3 hours after anesthesia wore off, my pain and suffering ended. No pain meds. were needed or taken after anesthesia. Surgery was completed in March of 2019 and I still remain pain free with great range of motion. Finished my career as a firefighter in a busy Chicago Fire District and Battalion. Dr. Mekhail deserves to be commended and receives my utmost respect. His skilled hands and great medical knowledge performed nothing short of a miracle. I recommend him without reservation. My only regret is that the insurance nazis did not have faith in his abilities. Thank you Dr. Mekhail

dr mekhail performed a lumbar laminecty at 10am at 6pm I was walking pain free for first time in a year he is an excellent surgeon with a great staff I would recommend him to my mother you can't give a better review than that

Awesome !!! Dr. Mekhail and his staff @ Parkview were incredible! I had a C5-C6 spinal fusion with amazing results! Pain free from the moment I woke up!! No rehab, just rest. I did not realize how bad the pain was until the surgery was completed, I would recommend Dr. Mekhail 1000%!!!

From my initial consultation with Dr. Mekhail until my final follow up visit after my neck surgery, Dr. Mekhail was patient and willing to answer any questions I had in a way that made me feel comfortable and that I was in the best of hands. The procedure that was done was an Anterior Cervical Dysectomy & Fusion (ACDF) of my C5-C7 Vertebrae. Today, 3.5 months after surgery I am 100% pain free and owe it all to Dr, Mekhail and his assistant Jim Hannah.

Dr. Mekhail is an excellent surgeon who is compassionate, professional, listens well and always give me the time I need to discuss my health concerns. He is surrounded by a professional, caring PA, Jim Hanna and his nurse Susie. They always answer telephone calls and return them promptly if not available. My back has never been better, one year post op and I am free of pain. I highly recommend Dr. Mehail, his PA Jim Hanna and his entire staff.

I would like to say that Dr. Mekhail changed my life, I was suffering from a cyst in my spine that was causing severe nerve pain down my left leg to my foot. My visits with Dr. Mekhail were informative and he helped me understand exactly what was going on with me. He is a good listener and understanding of what a person is going through. He explained the procedure(surgery) to remove the cyst and performed it, and now nearly two months later i'm nearly 100 percent. Highly recommend!!

Doc is good but it took me 2 weeks to get a hold of someone after calling and heading down there. I am a healthcare worker and I understand all the frustrations but the office couldn't even get a simple form faxed to my work.

This is the second time Dr. Mekhail has operated on me. the first time was for my upper neck which I was in pain for, after surgery the pain is all gone and I've and was great. the second operation was for my lower back after suffering for years with sciatic nerve and pain in both legs, I had tried shots physical therapy, and exercises the man told me the only way to fix the problem was to fuse my lower back. this was done two months ago and today I have no pain whatsoever and feel great.

I am so grateful for Dr. Mekhail and his team (Jim)! Due to Dr. Mekhail's quick ability to diagnosis my condition I was able to to get into surgery swiftly. My recovery has been painless and quick, I am almost back to normal strength after a month from multi-level cervical fusion surgery.

Dr. Mekhail was very understanding, provided me with all the available options and took the time to explain each one. Performed my back surgery 5 months ago, best decision I've ever made. No complications at all.

Dr. Mekhail went well above the extra mile when contacted to come in to perform an emergency surgery on my 89 year old mother at 11:00pm at night knowing he had an early morning surgery an hour away the following day. I truly believe had he not been so compassionate and performed the surgery there Ismaili no doubt my mother would have been overtaken by the extreme excruciating pain she’s had been enduring for several days. Love doctors like Dr. Mekhail. They really know what they're doing. And they make their patients and everyone around them feel secure and confident in their plan of action. From the moment I came to him about some spinal stenosis it was like, "oh, this will be fine. We'll knock this right out and you'll be walking without pain in no time." And that's exactly what happened. He cared about my pain and wasted no time in managing it. Thanks Dr. Mekhail!

I was experiencing lower back pain for approximately 3 months and tried a variety of treatments through primary care and primary physicians. Dr. Mekhail evaluated the previous treatments and results. He advised minimally invasive surgery would be required. He was compassionate, frank and thoroughly explained the surgical procedure and pre/post operative care. I couldn't have had a better surgeon.

Excellent ability to explain everything, even to a nervous teenager. Surgery and recovery were smooth and exactly as he had explained prior to surgery.

I first saw Dr. Mekhail in 2011 after seeing doctors in difference areas and the doctors gave me and injection in my BACK to reduce the pain, he said I am referring you to Doctor Mekhail.. After being check by him, he said my health was good enough to have the surgery at the age of 72 and. it was successful. On September 5th 2017, he performed Cervical C4-6 Anterior Cervical Decompression and I am doing well..

The only Dr. I would ever trust. Three back surgeries and every one successful. Earlier in my life had back issue and only Dr. Mekhail was able to correct my issue. Him & his team are by far the best. I have recommended associates that have struggled with their back issues and they to have communicated that they wished they had known Dr. Mekhail up front. Trust is so important and you know immediately that he is a true professional. Note:Never push surgery as first option.

I would like to start out by saying how greatful we are to Dr. Mekhail for the excellent work he did on our daughter. She has scoliosis of the spine and it was very severe, but instead of making a generalized decision about the way to proceed with her surger, he thought outside the box and looked to her future, which was her growing curve, her wanting to be active in sports, and her general health. If I had to do this over again I would not do anything different.

I had sciatica back pain. I was getting epidural injections that lasted only 60 days. I met Dr. Mekhail in Palos Hospital . I had micro discectomy on L4 and L5 in Jan.2017. This surgery has made me pain free. I have started golfing again and no longer take any pain meds. I am so glad I had this procedure . Dr Mekhail and his asst. Jim are most kind and helpful. The whole staff is great. Thank you

I have been a patient of Dr. Mekhail for quite a few years. EVERY experience, whether in the office or the operating room, has been excellent. His staff is outstanding as well. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Mekhail, AND his entire staff, attend to my health needs. They take the greatest care of me!

The doc was very knowledgeable and caring. I was nervous about having back surgery he put me at ease. I had spinal fusion in may it's now Nov I've felt great for a while I can walk again without nerve pain. I would recommend him to anyone having back surgery I suggest you go talk to him I don't think you will be disappointed. I would like to thank him and everyone involved in my surgery my quality of life has improved greatly.

I found Dr. Mekhail to be a very kind and gentle man. He was very empathetic, and gave me a great deal of confidence due to his assessment of my problem. He was a patient listener, very pleasant and personable. Dr. Mekhail performed a back procedure and I am happy to say I am without pain! Dr. Mekhail spent time answering all of my questions during my consultation visit and made sure I was clear on what was going to be done during the surgery and made me feel totally comfortable going forward with it. I felt very confident with his knowledge and experience and had no second thoughts on having him perform the cervical spine fusion surgery. After 7 weeks, the surgery has been a success and I owe it all to Dr. Mekhail. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a similar surgery.
