greeted me in waiting room,, very pleasant personality, showed interest and responded to my questions, did not feel rushed.

I had both a colonoscopy and and endoscopy test done recently. I was very pleased with the care I received from all the staff and especially the capability of Dr. Duong. From the time I came in I was given detailed information about everything that would be done step by step. Very good experience with this doctor.

Despite billing over $7,000 for various tests, he is still unable to diagnose my stomach cramps and gas. At my last visit, he offered nothing in the way of remedies for my problem. Wants me to come back in 6 weeks. For what? So he can bill for another worthless get-together. Then there is his office staff. Not only are they unfriendly, they don't answer the phone. I've called on several occasions and, after listening to nearly 2 minutes of a recording, was told to leave a message. Despite having called before 10 AM, my calls were not returned until the next day. Unbelievable! Don't waste your time of money on this guy. He is totally CLUELESS!!!

I went to Dr. Duoung to have a simple, common procedure that I've had in the past, which I fully explained to the staff when making the appointment. When I got there, we went to his office, where we went over my background and what treatment I was looking for. Instead of going into the exam room for an exam, or to complete the simple procedure, he said I'd have to make another appointment. 3 months later I got a call asking that our appointment be teleconference. I explained why I wanted to come in and after several go-arounds explaining my situation and what I was expecting, staff notified me then that he doesn't do that procedure and he referred me to someone else. So, I paid for a worthless initial visit, which are always the most expensive, and wasted 3 months waiting for relief I never got. How's that for care?

Dr. Duong is a problem-solver. I have a condition that has been difficult to treat, but I'm now in good health thanks to his help. It's been a long road. The first doctor I saw didn't know what to do, even after consulting with another doctor. The second doctor changed offices before real progress could be made. Dr. Duong is the third doctor I've seen for this, and he wasn't phased at all. I trust his judgement. He's seen a lot, stays up to date on the latest GI research, and has a realistic understanding of the potential risks and likelihood of benefits of medications and procedures. He also told me that diagnoses/conditions can change over time. He is respectful of my personal preference to use minimal sedation for procedures. I've also saved a lot of money by doing procedures at Mirage Endoscopy Center. I highly recommend calling them and other places to compare pricing. There are codes for what is found and what is done during a procedure and a corresponding price. Of course, this could depend on your insurance and what is in network. For me, it was a huge savings over Desert Regional and even less than listed prices of another place in Palm Springs. Also, it's easy to schedule a procedure in the near future, in my experience, compared to a previous doctor. Sometimes time matters. You don't want a condition to get worse while waiting a long time for a procedure, diagnosis, treatment. That happened to me with the first doctor I saw. One time Dr. Duong called me soon after lab results came back because it meant that I needed to start taking a new medication soon. (Normally I get results at the next appointment.) The staff is very nice and understanding. All of them are great. It has been pleasant to go there, even during times when I wasn't feeling so well. It can be a busy place or a quiet place at times. Dr. Duong is kind, thorough, learned, experienced, and patient. I always feel comfortable and leave feeling he listened and clearly explained my health issues. I would recommend him to anyone.

The doctor was fine However beware that they do not explain the cost of the procedures. Got a huge bill and was not happy with their rhetoric well we don't know how much something may cost until we get in there.
