Dr. Angela Q Dong

My husband and I have been patients here for over 20 years. Last year they refused to see me because during Covid, I had canceled 2 appointments. Very unprofessional and rude! It was because of Covid that these appointments were canceled and they should have been more accommodating due to the pandemic! A few years back, as I was leaving, the guy (receptionist) told me I owed $38 because my insurance didn’t cover my x-rays. It was their mistake because they took x-rays every 12 months & my insurance will only cover x-rays every 18 months, (which they knew since I’ve been going there for numerous years). It caught me off guard so I paid the amount, but after I thought about it, I was sorry that I had. They never sent me a bill in the mail and it was their error, not mine. I have since found a wonderful new dentist right up the road and they are friendly and helpful. My husband will be changing dentist now too! I would never recommend this place! I love the hygienist and Dr dong gave me an exam and said everything was perfect. Front office staff is very efficient. She doesn't try to make up problems that aren't there. Will keep going to her.

Worst butcher of a dentist out there. Office is filthy and will cause you to get bacterial infections.

Told me my teeth are so bad she can't even look at them.

Horrible dr dong told me I had 7 cavities and that I had to pay extra for white fillings. Told me I have horrible mouth hygiene shaming me for not taking care of them when I have gone through extensive dental care to have perfect teeth. I went to a different dentist and I only have one small cavity. I was told she would have drilled perfect teeth out and replaced it with silver fillings. She also Tryed to redo my mother’s fillings for NO reason for more money. Also put sealant on my teeth without asking my permission and my retainer doesn’t fit well anymore. The place didn’t even look clean some instruments looked used. I wish I saw these reviews before I went here. Dont go here horrible wish I could give it negative stars. I was seen at my appointment time without waiting and taken care of very swiftly. This dentist knew exactly what needed to be done the moment she saw me and she was very knowledgeable and helpful. I am extremely pleased with her work. She knew exactly what medication I needed right away and what was going on with oral problems. I will continue going here and this office is highly recommended! I was skeptical after reading reviews. It did take a while to get my first appointment but I loved my hygienist. She was comforting and trustworthy. My teeth feel clean and best news is I have no cavities.

Wish I could give them zero stars. This place is one of the worst dentist offices I’ve ever visited. I would Tell you my experience but it’ll be like ten paragraphs or more. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go. She’s a horrible dentist and quite rude.

Literally the worst dentist I've been to. She filled a cavity and then within months it broke and I had to have the whole tooth pulled. She also drilled a hole in another tooth and apparently forgot to fill it. Very quick and careless. I've always had bad anxiety about the dentist, and she didn't help. awrsome experoence! I was home for a week from college and Dr. Dawn squeeze me in did my check up and x-rays cleaning and fill the cavity!! efficient mind and compassionate.

Very pleased with this office. The staff was amazing, helpful got me in efficiently and had my work done very very quickly and beautifully. Dr Dong explain things very accurately and very patiently before doing the work.

Would not recommend her office to anyone. Unprofessional and rude! Office is dirty.

I have been going to Doctor Dong for at least 10 years, I have never had anything but a great experience with her. She is no nonsense, very upfront and straight forward. I value that. If your looking for a lot of frills you may not get them with her but you will get compassion, honesty and value.

I am a very nervous dental patient and I've been going to Dr. Dong for about 7 years. She is a no nonsense kind of person and very straightforward, which is what I like in a dentist. She doesn't give me time to wallow in my uncertainty or angst, which is a very good thing, believe me! I've had varying opinions of the hygienists (nothing terrible) but I like Dr. Dong so much, and I trust her, that I'll keep going, no matter which hygienist I get.

Dr. Dong and her hygienist are very unprofessional and extremely rude. They performed a very poor job on my dental work.

I broke my front tooth outside playing in the snow when I was 9 years old so I have had many caps from many different dentists. This one that Dr Angela Dong did is the best one I've ever had from an appearance stand point. I have only had it for 3 days but I am very very pleased. BTW I am 54 so I think that says alot.

Absolutely horrible!!! All of my fillings and crown have to be replaced after 2 years! My crown fell off while eating and I had it less than a year!!! I would not recommend her to my worst enemy!

Extremely rude and unprofessional. Not only Dr. Dong but the hygienists as well. I get explaining to people better dental care but to overhear the way they talk to people is disgusting. Not mention Dr. Dong is more concerned with being on her private phone than anything. You walk up the hall from the restroom and she literally has her phone up to her face. Oh and not to mention the snobby receptionist when you first walk in. She’s not only rude on the phone but she barely makes an effort.

I was told by Dr. Dong I had beautiful teeth and did excellent care at home. Then in the next sentence she said I had 4 CAVITIES! Now, I've only had a couple cavities total my entire life so I found this hard to believe. Dr. Dong did not perform any X-rays to make this diagnosis at all. Hesitant, I went to get the "cavities" filled. I told her I've never had novacaine before, and I didn't feel like I needed it. Well she shoved the drill so deep in my bottom tooth it brought tears in my eyes. I finally agreed to have Novocaine so that I wouldn't be in agony. While she was filling the "cavity" she happened to find another "hole" in the same tooth. By this time I knew she had to be lying. I let her finish repairing the tooth, and ran out of the office knowing I would never set foot in there again. She said, "Hurry back so i can fix the other 2 teeth." The next week I returned to my trusted Dentist, whom I've know for 35 years or more, but who unfortunately lives quite a distance away. He said, "she didn't take X-rays?!" After he took X-rays, guess what? I no longer had those other 2 cavities. Unbelievable! Not only is the Dentist not trustworthy, but she is so rude. FYI: The review won't allow me to leave 0 stars. Dr Dong is a wonderful caring doctor. Unfortunately due to changes in reception staff appointments are cancled at last minute repeatedly, insurance issues arrise and when patients try to solve the issue they are met with attitudes bordering rudeness.

Been a patient for years. Had fillings, root canals and crowns plus routine cleaning. All exceptional. Dr. Dong is fast, yet extremely accurate. Never had a tooth filled so quickly without the need for multiple shaping and alignment attempts - right on, usually first time. Been to many dentists, including high priced Albany/Colonie practices. Dr. Dong has had to repair a lot of their work. All inferior. Fancy surroundings, superfluous staff, and flashy addresses don't guarantee skill

If you only need a cleaning, this is an ok dentist. BUT if you need root canals, don't go to Dr. Dong. I had a failed root canal, it had to be done over. She sent me to a specialist(wished I had gone to begin with)I had to pay $1200. My son had failed root canal and all the roots weren't filled, now he has to have surgery and it is going to cost me $3000 I went to Dr. Dong because I was a single mother and she took my insurance without any out of pocket $ Much more trouble than it was worth

She has always been courteous, and feel she is an extremely gifted dentist. Any work she has ever done on my teeth, the outcome has always been excellent?

When a cracked tooth was found during a routine cleaning appointment, Dr. Dong gave me an emergency appointment for the next day and saw me after hours on a Friday to put on the temporary. Knowing that I had a total knee replacement in 10 days, she called the local labs to find a labs to find one that could guarantee a permanent crown before my surgery.
