We are so blessed to have a doctor as brilliant as Dr Andy Kranenburg to serve us in this area. My husband, Jim and I had privilege of attending a lecture years ago at the Medford Public Library were Dr Kranenburg was the key speaker. He spoke of various back problems and the surgery to correct those problems. Jim had suffered many years with a bad back and several surgeons gave him no hope. So, we were very excited when we hear Dr Kranenburg speak. We made an appointment with right away with Dr Kranenburg resulting in a my husband's successful surgery. When I started having problems with back and leg pain I contacted Dr Kranenburg. After looking at my Xray he immediately knew that my right Sacroiliac joint had become loose. Following a exam and diagnostic tests to confirm his diagnosis I was scheduled for surgery. I'm extremely grateful for all the help and support while I fought the insurance for over a year to get a surgery that allowed me to walk again. Dr Kranenburg has cared for and provided surgical procedures on four of my closest family members. He is extremely passionate about taking the best of care and is very patient and takes all the time needed to answer questions and listens to patient and family member concerns.

Just had a bilateral minimal invasive spine surgery done by Dr Kranenburg at Providence Medford Medical center and am extremely satisfied with Dr kranenburg and Providence Medford Medical center. Dr Kranenburg had me use a walker after my surgery. He failed to tell me it was only for 3 weeks. I used it for three months during which I lost body function. It was three months since my surgery that he met with me. If he had checked on me sooner, I could have found out about the walker.

Dr. Kranenburg did not push me towards more intervention at this clinic for my shoulder issue, since PT and massage are making the needed improvements to my condition. He informed me of further steps should my condition warrant it. Very thorough.

I had a back condition for an extended period of time brought on by osteoarthritis and my primary did not give me the answers or a path to recovery, but Andy did. Without his expertise and excellent "bedside manner", I would not be on the road to recovery. I appreciated his honesty that surgery should only be a last resort and physical therapy and over the counter meds would provide the best course of action. My previous primary care provider had assured me for years that I had "a little arthritis" causing back pain so severe that I often needed help to get out of bed. My MRI indicated that I had a disk, high in my neck that was pushing on my spinal cord. I was assigned to Dr. Kranenburg and after the fact, found that he came highly recommended. My experience was absolutely excellent from the first evaluation and informational meeting to my 6-month follow-up, last week. Dr. K. initially told me that the surgery would last "for so long," but he ran into some complications in my neck and took an additional 2 hours! Thank you, doctor, for seeing it through to the end! All of my experiences with other people from this team, receptionists, X-ray techs and PA's were great, I cannot imagine any better. Dr. Kranenburg is an exceptional doctor and surgeon who I highly recommend. He is thorough in his care and very knowledgeable. Although he is a surgeon, he does not jump immediately to that path, always pursuing every avenue before that. He always spends whatever time is necessary to respond to questions and clarify treatment. I couldn't be happier with his care. I highly recommend him for issues associated with neck problems.

First visit was MRI and his explaining what he would do to fix the problems. Very informative and caring. I trust him and know I will eventually be back to doing what I like to do. I will soon be starting P.T. and know this will complete the process.

Excellent DR. !! We had seen 3 other Dr.s for my husbands back problem. They all said they couldn't help. Dr. Kranenburg sat us down and told us what was wrong and how he could fix it. He listened to everything we said, and asked about. Office staff was also very pleasant. We would highly recommend him.

Dr. Kranenburg performed minimally invasive surgery on my L5 S1 for a cyst. It was totally successful. Not only is Dr. Kranenburg a wonderful surgeon but a very caring and warm individual. He has a very conservative approach toward surgery. Surgery is a last resort. Furthermore, he is willing to sit with you and answer any and all questions, no matter how long it takes. He speaks to you , not from on high, but as an informed professional. There are no false expectations as he is very honest. I was so fortunate to have him as my surgeon. I would recommend him without hesitation.

After 1 surgery on my neck in 2005, my neck hardware along with additional pain started up again in 2018. Dr Kranenburg correctly diagnosed my problems and after two successful surgeries at the beginning of 2020, my pain is gone and I feel like I have a new life ahead of me. He is an excellent doctor who patiently explains everything in detail. I highly recommend Dr Kranburg for spine related concerns.

I was referred to Dr. Ho, a joint specialist, who said he didn't think my problem was in my hip and referred me to Dr. Kranenburg, a spine specialist. Dr. K, after an interview and examination said he didn't think my problem was in my spine, he thought it was in my hip. He said he would set up an appointment with a hip joint specialist. I hope they can figure it out.

i REQUESTED KRANENBURG AFTER LOOKING AT REVIEWS ON THE WEB. WENT TO SEE HIM IN THE ASHLAND OFFICE NOT QUITE THREE YEARS AGO- JANUARY +/- OF 2017 AFTER A FALL AT HOME. I HAD AN IMPACT INJURY WHICH COMPRESSED MY SPINE TO THE POINT OF PARALYSIS IN MOST ALL OF MY LOWER TORSO AND LOWER EXTREMITIES. NOW DISMISSED AS PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY BY A DIFFERENT PHYSICIAN, BELIEVING I WAS TO SEE AN EXPERT IN HIS FIELD WHO'D NOT ONLY BE ABLE TO DISCOVER WHERE, BUT CONVERSE ABOUT THE INJURY IN A THOROUGH & COMMUNICATIVE MANNER WITH ACCURATE DESCRIPTION OF SAID INJURIES. WHAT I FOUND WAS AN INATTENTIVE DOCTOR WHO DID NOT EVEN TOUCH ME. HE COULD NOT, WHEN ASKED TO SHOW ME ON MY BODY WHERE AN XRAY SHOWED ISSUES/DAMAGE - EVEN ASKING A SECOND TIME FOR AN APPROXIMATION- WHERE MY INJURIES WERE.. HE STATED THAT 'THERE WAS TOO MUCH GOING ON' TO SHOW ME. AFTER EIGHT (8) FULL MINUTES TYPING ON HIS COMPUTER AND AGAIN WHEN ASKED FOR SPECIFICS, HE SIMPLY LEFT THE ROOM WITH NO EXPLANATION... NO REFERRAL FOR ANY TESTS, SCANS OR FOLLOW UP OF ANY KIND. TODAY- THREE YEARS LATER, I AM DISABLED AND HAVE HAD A GREAT CHIROPRACTOR SUGGEST THAT I MAY HAVE CAUDA EQUINA.. AKA HORSE TAIL.. I saw Dr. Kranenburg for an ongoing issue with moderate and severe disk issues. He explained all the possible treatments. Based on his careful explanation, I was able to reach a decision. The support staff was the best.

Dr. K is always thorough and direct in his explanation and discussion re: your particular reason seeing him. Yet, one never feels rushed through an appointment (which happens way to frequently these days) and he makes one feel as though no stone will be left unturned in achieving a full understanding of your situation and treatment options available to you for correcting it. The first time I went to see Dr. K (over 2 years ago) was on another doc’s referral. I was extremely leery of anything having to do w/back surgery and DID NOT want to go there. But he took his time with me to explain everything about my condition and what my options were, so I could make a fully informed decision. By the end of that first appointment, I had completely turned around in my view of obtaining back surgery as an option and felt complete trust in his becoming my surgeon. The surgery was a success and I was completely satisfied with the outcome. I now find myself returning to him for a different back issue and, once again, have total confidence and trust putting myself in his hands. Choosing a doctor to address back issues can be kind of a dicey proposition. Dr. Kranenberg is not quick to operate. He is straightforward and direct. Inasmuch as I did not qualify for a recent procedure , I am grateful he was so honest about my situation.
