Dr. Michael treated me for an allergy to eye drops I was taking for my glaucoma when others could not determine what the problem was. I felt so much better. He performed cataract surgery for me as well. I highly recommend him. He is just so knowledgeable and wonderful to boot…

Dr. Michael is very rude! Lacks bedside manner and just lacks care and compassion for his patients and their overall experience. People please do your research this guy is notorious for being mean to his patients. My family and I learned the hard way.

Run, don’t walk, away from this practice. When Dr. Michael met with me, he did not shut up the entire time. I was unable to express my concerns as to whether or not the cataract surgery would impact my LASIK surgery or anything else for that matter. The morning of the surgery, Dr. Michael asked me what my prescription was. I should have stopped him then. Why on earth would a surgeon cutting into your eye ask that question then? Or ever?! When I went for my follow- up the next day Dr. Noble saw me. I told him the vision wasn’t right and he insisted it would get better in time. It did not. Dr. Michael did better with the left eye, but as a result of the cataract surgery, I have halos, and I can’t drive at night. When I flipped out about it 3 months later, Dr. Noble assured me, they would fix it. They came up with a plan which I followed. I saw my regular practitioner for months to establish that my vision was stabilized and then I was sent to see Dr.Iuorno who had no idea why I was even

Compassionate and listens. Spent time explaining my dad's condition and options, and then again when we had some questions on the telephone. Expert surgeon. Highly recommend!

Condescending jerk. Do Not use him. And Commonwealth bills your insurance for bogus procedures.

Wonderful experience. Kind to both my elderly parents, explained everything. The review that said he just talks to his nurse wasn't paying attention. For all of our visits he told his assistant everything and then he turned to us and went over it all again in plain language. Answered all questions. Highly recommend to anyone.

Thanks to Dr. Michael and the Stony Point Surgery Center for a job well done on my eye surgery! I was very nervous, however Dr. Michael and his Team, made sure I was comfortable. Big shout out to him and the team. Job well done!!!!

It was overwhelming to say the least, I’m sure he is okay for some people but I found him to be aggressive in demeanor, dismissive and condescending. I felt I wasn’t allowed to ask questions (I was there for cataracts ) very rushed. During the initial exam by his assistant my glasses kept fogging up and I couldn’t see, I was nervous and concerned about the accuracy she said no big deal, very confusing. Anyway after the visit I went to the car and cried I won’t be back. Front desk people very friendly.

He took time and explained everything to both my elderly parents. We are all so happy with him and his really nice staff. Definitely recommend!

I have been going to Dr. Michael for several years. He always runs late, but I trust him to take the best possible care of my glaucoma problem. He is thorough and business-like but as friendly as he can be in a limited amount of time.

Dr. Michael is the most awesome eye specialist with whom I have ever been treated. He and all of his staff care about their patients including those who have other physical needs as well. I would recommend him 100+% to anyone needing specialty eye care!

Dr Michael is rude and abrasive. Refuses to answer questions and speaks to his assistant the whole appointment. Front desk staff helpful and polite

In August my eye doctor referred me to Dr. Michael. i went on line and looked at reviews. Although, most were very good there were some that had me concerned. The day I arrived the receptionist was very helpful. The lady that checked my eyes was nice and told me everything she was doing. I told her I appreciated her being so nice. It wasn't long after they took me to room to wait for Dr. Michael. I didn't have to wait long. He came in with a big smile and was very friendly. He asked me questions and he explained exactly what to expect. Very informative about the whole procedure. I was impressed and felt very at ease. After seeing him they took me to lady who sets up surgery. She went over everything with me. My overall experience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend Dr. Michael. Been going to Dr. Michael for several years. Always professional and listens to what I say. No problem seeing him even though he stays very busy. This December, 2018 he did cataract operations on my eyes. He went over the process, what would happen, etc. Total success!

I brought my uncle to Dr. Michael for cataract surgery. My uncle raves about him still. The surgery was perfect and he requires no eyeglasses. Would highly recommend.

I was referred to Dr. Michael by my optometrist. I went to see him for a cataract evaluation. The wait time to see him was extremely long. When he finally comes into the exam room his manner is loud and obnoxious. He gives me a brief exam and announces that I am a candidate for surgery. I ask him a several questions to which he replied in a dismissive condescending way. He answered none of my questions. I never went back. Who needs a rude and flippant MD?

Dr. Michael?s is full of crap. I waited over 2 hours for an eye exam & instead of tending to his patients; he was in the hallway cracking jokes w/ his colleagues. He was very short w/ me, ignored my concerns & medical records & tried to lead me to believe my problem was a simple fix when other doctors, including some in that very same office had previously told me was not going to work.

My mom was referred to see Dr. Michael from her primary care for a really intense sty. Her eye was almost swollen shut. We waited 2 hours to see the Dr. I was OK with that because she was squeezed in, but the treatment from the doctor was unacceptable. My 78 year old mom was agitated as she had waited so long. She had already seen a technician and been examined and he came in and asked what was wrong (had not read any notes.) She said, "Look at my eye" and he said ok and sat there. She said, "It hurts" and he said, "Oh, well, see, I couldn't tell that from looking at it." What a jerk. He talked down to her and patronized her the entire appointment. She was in tears when we left. There is no excuse for such arrogant, rude behavior from a Dr. She was asking him questions about her treatment at the end of the appointment and he was rude again. She couldn't remember the OTC ointment she was using and he said, "Well, how can I tell you whether or not to keep using it if I don't know what it is?" Just deplorable. Sarcasm has no place in a situation when someone is in pain and needed some kindness. My mom was referred to see Dr. Michael from her primary care for a really intense sty. I first saw Dr. Michael about 18 years ago for Glaucoma and he has been treating me ever since. My Glaucoma is stable and I avoided a possible surgery that another doctor had recommended. Dr. Michael also performed my cataract surgery and it went very well. I would no hesitate recommending Dr. Michael to anyone

I was referred to Dr. Michael by my optometrist for an urgent eye status and was apprehensive. I was seen that same day and reassured that my problem could be treated conservatively. I was impressed by Dr. Michael's skill in ophthalmology and in comforting me in discussing my concerns. This is a very busy practice but I always feel that my questions are answered.As a retired RN, I prefer a physician who can be friendly but serious at the same time. I found Dr. Michael to be both.
