Cont. prescribing it to me because of the negative drug test. No conversation with the patient or anything else just stops cold turkey. I couldn’t believe it. This was about the most irresponsible and reckless thing I had ever heard. Not to mention completely disregarding the well being of your patient. So I asked if I could at least speak to the Dr. as I had been seeing him for years and thought we knew each other fairly well and this was coming as a complete shock. She said she would message him and he would call me back. I waited again and heard nothing so called again and this time was read his notes again that he was uncomfortable but would be willing to refer me to a psychologist? So I then asked to speak to the branch manager as I felt this was unacceptable. I was told she would be given the message and would call me back. In the meantime I started to believe this was a blessing in disguise. I hadn’t taken a break in quite some time and this would be a good opportunity to stop taking it for as long as I could cope. So I did receive a call from someone at the clinic but I unfortunately was with a client and was unable to take the call. The manager left a message and after some consideration decided to not return it and take some time off the Adderral. That was near the end of November 2019. Now by the end of December 2019 the symptoms that adderall helped aleve had come back more severe than ever. So I called the manager back and left a message and after not hearing back left another the following week. After not hearing back a second time I decided to call the appointment line and see if I could get a recommendation from Dr. Hanson. I spoke to the nurse and told her the story and she was appalled at what she heard and said that is not the way it’s supposed to be handled at all. She said that I needed to be an advocate for myself and to not let this happen. She said she would put in a note to Dr. Hanson and let him know she spoke to me and my quality of life had deteriorated. She said she was sure it would be refilled this time and that I would hear from someone. Well after several days and not hearing anything I called and was told by a different nurse that Dr. Hanson declined the prescription refill. So I told this nurse the same story as well and she recommended the same thing, or at least having the Dr. return my call and have a conversation with me. I declined knowing it wouldn’t do any good and just requested that he refer me to a psychologist. So that is where it stands today January 9, 2020. I will wait several days as always and if I do not hear back again will call back. Sincerely, Flummoxed.
