Thanks to the Dr Gelfand my youngest son is alive and thriving today. My son has achondroplasia and had chronic lung disease. When no one could come up with a good care plan, Dr Gelfand stepped in and took over. If it wasn't for this, my son would have never survived. Hands down the best of the best. My family and I currently live in New Hampshire, but if my son ever requires a pediatric pulmonologist in the future we would move back to Texas in a heart beat to get Dr. Gelfand involved. Dr Gelfand is by far one of the best pulmonologists, if not pediatricians I have ever utilized. He is considerate, knowledgable and take the time necessary to educate patients and parents. He was the only physician willing to work until we found a cause for my teenage sons high fever. Dr Gelfand found us a solution and relief from what had been weeks long illness. Dr Gelfand is by far one of the best pulmonologists, if not pediatricians I have ever utilized. He is considerate, knowledgable and take the time necessary to educate patients and parents. He was the only physician willing to work until we found a cause for my teenage sons high fever. Dr Gelfand found us a solution and relief from what had been weeks long illness. I find it surprising that Dr. Gelfand has a 5 star rating. In fact, I am convinced that he wrote these reviews himself. If you met him personally you would understand why I say that. He is an arrogant doctor that does not listen to his patients at all because according to him he is the best in DFW. If he was so good he would have caught that my son had pneumonia instead he didn't catch it and when I took him to another hospital because I knew he was sick the second pulmonoligst caught it.

Dr. Gelfand, is by far one the best pulmonologist in country. His first priority is his patients. His desire to see them not just live but thrive is what sets this doctor apart from others. He is a very aggressive doctor in terms of making sure that his patients receive the best care he can give them. My daughter is considered complex chronically ill medically fragile and I trust Dr. Gelfand with her life. I have had several doctors around the country Oklahoma, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, Philadelphia, and Las Angels. However Dr. Gelfand has surpassed many of these doctors. Dr. Gelfand listens to you, takes time for you, and gives you his undivided attention. It is nice to know that when you are in the ER the NICU, PICU,or the vent floor and everyone knows you belong to Gelfand the staff make sure you are treated with extra care.
