**UPDATE** I’ve spoken with the new office manager and they have made staff changes and updated their business structure. My issue with the bill, has been resolved and I’m able to see Dr. Raymond again. I’m happy with the change’s they’ve made and will continue being a patient at this office. —————————————————————————- Dr. Raymond is very good and I’ll give her, her nurse Kim and her P. A. Travis 5 stars. However, the front office staff and office manager (at least the ones I’ve dealt with) are incompetent and shouldn’t have jobs in this field. I’d just gotten out of the hospital, after having 5 days of testing for epilepsy. (that’s a different story) and called to schedule my follow up appointment, only to be told that I had a balance of $155.00 (my insurance company has already paid this claim) so they wouldn’t schedule my appointment, unless I paid it in full. I had spoken to them repeatedly about this bill and explained that Blue Cross had already paid them, but they wouldn’t budge. I left multiple messages with the billing department, as well as the office manager and never received a call back. I have an extensive neurological history, so it’s imperative that I have a Neurologist. Sadly, I had to go elsewhere, due to incompetent office staff. I can guarantee this office has lost a lot of business, due to this reason. Physicians obviously don’t need to know every single thing that happens in the front office, but they should be aware enough to know when they’re getting multiple complaints about the office staff, that changes need to be made. So Dr. Raymond is at fault for allowing this behavior to continue at her practice.

I have been trying to schedule an appointment. I finally get an insurance referral in hand and mail that information electronically to the office. Insurance referral is how they will get paid. Nope—they “need” a “diagnosis” and “demographic information” from my doctor BEFORE they will even set a day for me to see them. Can they ask me the diagnosis? Yes. Can they ask me my demo information? Yes. Do they? “Oooh. I need to transfer you”. Stay far away from this practice. I have been trying to schedule an appointment. Dr. Raymond and her nurse Kim are great. However the receptionist has been very rude and incompetent. She claimed I did not have an appointment when I arrived on December 9, so I showed her the text I had received from her office on December 8 confirming the appointment. She refused to let me in. She called me the next morning, said she had made a mistake and could reschedule me in FEBRUARY, two months later! She was arrogant and condescending. Unforgivable! Took almost a year to get a telemed visit. Responses to emails were “out there “. Diagnosis by assistant was Alzheimer’s (in which time is so important), he handed us the “bomb” and that was it! No follow up appt., no advice, nothing. Don’t even try to call…all you will get is the machine and you don’t even know WHO to ask for.

From my very first encounter the office staff and the doctor herself were patronizing, dismissive, inconsistent and unavailable. No patient portal, often no one answers the phone, up to 5 days to answer a message left. My diagnosis after all was said and done was "because everything else has been ruled out" which didn't make me feel very confident. She prescribed a medication that cost $172/month. When I mentioned this to her, she had no idea it was expensive and she said she could give me the twice a day instead of extended release and it would be less expensive. When I went to pick up the new prescription it was $9 for a 90 day supply. You'd think she would know what she was prescribing. I am seeing a new neurologist who will do more thorough testing and who was not convinced that my diagnosis was accurate. All in all a HORRIBLE experience. Do NOT go to this doctor.

You should know that Dr. Raymond has a policy that SHE will only see a patient once a year - and that is by a telemedicine call. Your neurophysical will be done through Zoom where she will watch you stand on one leg and walk, etc. You are made to sign a piece of paper saying you agree to that and you are repeatedly told by her staff that you agreed to that and, no matter what, cannot see her. It is impossible to reach her because her staff won't let you through. She has a Nurse Practitioner (NP) that gives you the results of your testing (EEGs, CT and MRI scans, etc.) and prescribes any medication. This should not, in my opinion, be allowed by the medical licensing board.

My father waited for over a month to see this specialty Doctor. He is in dire need of services and looking for solutions to his health issues. After weeks of trying to make phone contact an appointment was made. Unfortunately the day he showed up for his appointment he was told by staff that all appointments had move to online appointments. He was not notified by phone before the appointment time. When he questioned the staff they said he should check his spam folder for the unexpected email they sent. During this time of talking to staff at the actual doctors office staff then notified him they would have to cancel his appointment. What doctors office doesnt call to inform you when appointments change? If i dont call to notify my doctors of a moved or cancelled appointment i get charged. Dont they have the same standards? one call would have made a world of difference. My father who is experiencing all kinds of issues and needs this doctor was so upset he cried. Seeing a 65 year old marine , retired cop cry becuase he is experiencing this hardship just hurts. What a joke and so much wasted time. My father waited for over a month to see this specialty Doctor. I never met or saw the doctor but if your trying to go there find another doctor. The staff is the most incompetent frustrating lying group of people I have ever dealt with. I tried to write it in the review but I ran out of character. In the end when I finally got my appointment I showed up the receptionist walked to door and asked if she could help me I said I had an appt. she said they were not having in office visits I told her when I scheduled the appt. I specifically asked in house or video I was told I’m house. But on this day she says no I argued with her that she was wrong but Noooo was her answer. I had to go to my car and download some app but never got connected. Then she calls me while I’m sitting outside her door and tries to help and keeps resending app. Then she tells me I was right they were accepting in house visits but they stopped.???? This was after trying to download there app. Finally she says she will have to cancel the visit. I fired them on the spot worthles…

Rude doctor, rude staff, unprofessional. Litterally an outrageous experience. I arrived early to my appt and the staff told the me the meds that my pharmacy overnighted the day before did not arrive and canceled my appointment. When I showed them the email from OptimumRX that UPS delivered the meds an hour prior, they still told me that it didn't arrive and that I had to be rescheduled for the THIRD time (other reasons to be rescheduled at the very last minute.) When I finally got upset and mentioned I didn't feel comfortable with this office lying to me, the "Medical Assistant" Maggie went to a room within eye-sight of the front desk, opened a door and then I saw her open a freezer, grab 3 purple boxes of my mede and put it back into the shipping box it came in, folded the top of the box shut, and came and slid it up onto the counter at the front desk saying I had to take it and couldn't come'back. I had no idea how to handle this temperature sensitive bio-toxin medication. Outrageous

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I truly wished I had read the reviews here before spending 39 days, 4 phone calls, 7 e-mails, and countless hours of time tracking down referrals and paperwork to get my father into a much needed appointment for severe memory loss issues. Sadly, Dr. Raymond's office called 56 minutes before his scheduled appointment to inform us that she had "declined to see him because he already has a neurologist." Informing the patient less than an hour before his appointment after arrangements had been made to take off work and medical care had been delayed is completely unacceptable. When I asked Dr. Raymond's assistant to whom I could file a formal complaint regarding this matter, her response was "you'll have to research that yourself." For the record, it's the TEXAS MEDICAL BOARD, and I highly recommend completing the simple online complaint submission if you have a complaint against a medical professional.

Insurance Out of network with her office now and I was willing to pay cash for emergency visit. They scheduled me for same day and I was happy. The office called me back later saying they would not see me because they were out of network with my new insurance. I told them I knew they could not use my insurance and reminded them I was was paying cash at the time of appointment . The girl told me that the office manager said they were canceling my appointment and refused to allow me to pay cash for it. WOW couldn’t believe it. I have been a patient of Dr. Raymond’s for over three years I have seen her once and I have seen her physicians assistance five times During those three years. I have never been treated like this.I am still dumbfounded that they did not allow me to come in for my visit and pay cash. I was refered to her by the ER doctor and so regret it. I should have done my own homework and read the reviews before. Her staff is rude, she only saw me once, and to read the test results I'm left with the NP, who is highly INCOMPETENT. I don't know how she leaves patients at his care. I asked him basic questions about my test results and he did not know how to answer. He left the room and came back with notes on a paper that he explained to me, so I assume he went to google it. He wanted to put me on seizure meds without any evidence of seisure activity. He said he wanted to see me in 6 weeks. At the front desk I asked to see the doctor next time and they did not want do schedule me saying she is not available until Jan 2020! I said that's fine, I will wait. Then she said I signed a paper the first day agreeing to see the NP. I should've told her I never signed it as I did not like that from the beginning and tore that paper appart. I left to never go back to that office

I was referred by my doctor so I expected this to be a good visit and a better doctor. Boy have I been fooled..she has wasted my time by ordering an EEG in which case it took her 3 weeks to "get back with me" Then she didn't have the respect to see me. She let her PA who appeared to no ZIP! I will never go back and if you look at other reviews they indicate the same. Don't waste your time!

I wish I could rate this place 0 stars. I don't even know where to begin. I was referred to this place by my doctor and was eager to get answers on my condition. I showed up 25 minutes early to my 1:30 appointment to fill out paperwork. By 1:45 two people had already been called back before me when they said their appointment times were 1:40 and 1:45. I didn't think much of it because I understand people run behind. Boy, was I wrong. By 2:05 I was finally called back by the nurse, keep in mind this is 35 minutes after my scheduled time and I was already there for an hour at this point. The nurse was very sweet, and I thought things were looking up. She spent probably 5 minutes with me and said the doctor should be with me shortly. At 2:40 I had still not seen a doctor, nor had anyone informed me of when I would. I went out to ask, and there was a doctor out there saying she would be with me in a second. She comes in and introduces herself as the Dr. Raymond's assistant. She took down history and did a quick neurological screen and that's it. I waited ANOTHER 15-20 minutes and the assistant came back in and told me Dr. Raymond has a cough and cannot see you. She proceeded to tell me that she spoke with Dr. Raymond about my condition and Dr. Raymond thinks that I have Multiple Sclerosis, and that I need to have MRIs and EMGs done. This is where I was super frustrated, not only did I wait over 2 hours to not see a doctor, she also came to the conclusion that I have MS just by looking at a piece of paper. Which is not only unsettling, but extremely unprofessional to do to a young girl who has just been diagnosed with fibromyaliga three weeks prior that SHE NEVER EXAMINE HERSELF. I went to the front desk to schedule the follow ups and they could not get me in. At this point, I gave up and told them I was going elsewhere. This place is the most unprofessional, horribly run healthcare service I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. After reading the other reviews, I do not believe she had this cough. There is zero communication between staff and they clearly do not care about anything that is going on during your daily schedule. I spent a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes at this place only to be told I was not going to see the doctor I was referred to. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS DOCTOR'S OFFICE again, and i recommend that no one else does as well. I wish I could rate this place 0 stars. I don't even know where to begin. Dr Raymond displayed her obvious expertise, experience and knowledge when evaluating my symptoms and complaints. While still undergoing assessment, the past recommdations including some PT has resolved those issues. While I’ve noticed negative reviews, I wondered if the anxiety of needing a neurologist to diagnose a condition created frustration when there is little to understand. She spends all the time required and then some to uncover every detail. Some that I thought couldn’t be related, uncovering every stone. I highly recommend Dr Raymond. Important to remember Dr,’s aren’t God. They may not have the answer, but continue to look or refer to a different specialist where the problem may lie. Complicated.
