I am not sure why doctors continue to take new patients when they can't even get current patients in for 3-4 months. It makes being a patient there pointless, and shame on Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama for allowing overbooked doctors to be on their list of accepting new patients. Take care of the patients you already have please!!!!

Dr Woods is awesome. However, I called today with a major problem and they can't get me in to see the NP until March and to see Dr Woods until April. If I'm backed up and can't go, I don't think thats safe to wait that long.

Nurse practitioner Nicole Thomas gave me my life back! I had been getting gradually worst with stomach pain and finally had to stay home most of the time for months. My life was limited. I had never met Nicole and was so nervous. She listened to me and said I will help you and you will get better! She explained a thorough plan and gave it to me in writing. She reassured me I would get better. For the first time, I knew I was going to get help and my confidence started to come back. Nicole smiled and said you will be fine! I felt hopeful and I trusted her. She is a professional who listens, cares, easy to understand and thorough. I so appreciate her understanding my problem and I began to feel better quickly. Now after 3 weeks I’m able to resume my life! I’m so thankful to Nicole Thomas for stopping my pain by giving me a realistic working plan that has given me a pain free new life. Amazing thorough Doctor...I trust het expertise & caring manner..only issue for me is she is so busy ..I have to see her assistsnts..which are competent..but not the expertise of Dr Woods....she is consulted &does all procedures tho......amazing Doctor....??????

I had the Best appointment with Nicole Thomas the Nurse Practitioner, she made me feel comfortable talking to her about the issues I am having and actually had me in a better mood!!! Think this is the place where they are going to get me back to my normal Meeee!!! After of course the dreaded sample ????????

Did not have the chance to see doc amy but however i did see dr. Berry who had horrible beside manners and thought he had me figured out before evening talking to me ive dealt with a issue for over 4 years didnt take anything i said with any thought and didnt even schedule a follow up apt basicslly charged me over 200$ (no insurance) to refill my prescription and tell me have a nice day, i hope he loses his license due to mo care or concern for his patients Did not have the chance to see doc amy but however i did see dr. Went in after having stomach issues for a few months. I saw her nurse practitioner, who talked to me about symptoms and gave me some advice on probiotics and fiber supplements, but was shocked there was no physical exam involved. He literally listened to my heart and poked my stomach while I was sitting fully clothed to ask me if it hurt. I've never been to a gasto who didn't do a thorough exam and wouldn't trust this office with any procedures. Went in after having stomach issues for a few months. I had an emergency EGD after being admitted to South Baldwin for vomiting and dehydration. She found a stricture, a hiatal hernia, and a staple that was left from a previous surgery that was causing an obstruction. I’m so thankful she was able to fix and resolve these issues as I had lost over 40lbs in a little over a month and had been unable to eat food in a month. It was good to be able to eat again although I had to go slow and also do rehab and I was very weak. I’m so grateful to Dr. Woods. My normal GI doctor is in Mobile - Dr Parker but her nurse use to work for his partner, Dr Johnson and has been so nice and impressive so I might just switch as it’s nice to have a GI doctor in town. Dr Woods did an outstanding job when I fainted and broke my leg and was admitted to South Baldwin Medical Center in Foley al. I had no doctors in the area. Letiesha Scott, NPA and Dr Woods headed up my treatment. They were an excellent team.

Laura the nurse is very rude! I wouldn't recommend this place at all! You might as well commit suicide going to this place. Very unprofessional. Amy is going to lose alot of patients dealing with this disrespectful lady seriously!

Dr Amy woods is so thorough and pleasant to talk to about anything. She literally saved my life when I was having stomach issues, she followed up with a cat scan after my colonoscopy, where they saw a mass in my kidney, followed by an MRI and a trip to the urologist, where I had part of my kidney removed and it was cancer. Had it went unfound, as most cancers do until late stages, it could have spread outside and been far more difficult to overcome. Thank you Amy Woods for saving me.

Dr. Woods is very professional and caring .She takes her time and answers all my questions. She understands my concerns. I think she is one of the best internal medicine doctors I have seen .

I was treated with the utmost respect and compassion. She listened to what I had to say and answered my questions very thoroughly. The office staff and nurses were some of the best I’ve experienced. I highly recommend Dr. Amy Woods

Love her. What a sweetheart. During office visits, she sits and talks with you--not at you --actively listening, instead of writing/typing while you talk. She was also really upbeat in the procedure room before I was knocked out before my procedure, which helped relax me and take my mind off the situation.

Terrible doctor. Rude . Has attitude. Performed colonoscopy and caused scaring and bleeding had to be fixed at UAB!!!

Not happy with the fact that her PA had me do a CT scan and then, someone called from the office and said that everything "looked good", which I knew was crazy. Not with the bulging hernia so visible. I made an appointment at another doctor's office, had the CT scan results sent there and after reviewing the results, that doctor sent me to a surgeon. I had my repair surgery done last week and glad I didn't wait until my femoral hernia caused me an ER visit and emergency surgery.

I had Hep C and was referred to Dr Woods. I was very interested in treatment with the new drug, Harvoni. Dr Woods was so personable and knowledgeable about this drug and its treatments that I left there with a mail order script and a wonderful positive feeling that I was in very good hands. The treatment with Harvoni was easy and after 12 weeks my body was declared FREE of that terrible infection. I owe it all to Dr Woods. Highly recommend.

Dr. Woods has taken care of my swallowing problems for six years. She is absolutely the best. She communicates well, is totally skilled, very professional, and easy on the eyes. She has also done work on the bottom side. I totally trust her. If you read this and do not call Dr. Woods, well too bad, you get what you get. SHE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. JH
