My friend who was fighting cancer had a terrible experience with her. She would not provide IV fluids, which had helped my friend tremendously in the past. Friend switched doctors, and her new doctor had no problem getting her what she wanted. No one should have to fight with their provider while dealing with terminal cancer.
Dr. Vander Woude is a doctor who is so relatable. She is very personable, comes prepared and shows a lot of kindness and compassion. On top of her great interpersonal traits, she is a highly educated and experienced oncologist, earning a residency at the University of Michigan Hospital, no mean feat given that this hospital is one of the best medical research centers in the country.
