Dr. Vail has been and important part of my family’s life for the last 10 years. Her guidance has been fundamental in allowing me a safe place to work through “stuff”! Plus the doggies are amazing!

Top notch help, right when I needed it.

Dr. Amy Vail has a positive energy and is always there for us. Dr. Vail has been there for me at all times and is the best listener with wonderful professional advice. She has been there for my husband and I and also for our son. He has connected and trusted Dr. Vail and looks forward to their sessions.

What a gift. Within 5 minutes of meeting her, she had a pulse on my situation and was able to start offering practical, actionable advice on day 1. Dr. Vail is quite literally a life saver. I began seeing her in 2015, weeks after I quit my job at. Boston law firm, when my husband asked for a divorce on my birthday and informed me that we needed to sell the house we just bought together. At a time when life seemed unlivable, Amy helped me recognize and connect with my inner strength and vitality. She guided me towards using the resources I have to get back on my feet.again. Dr. Amy is amazing! She knows her stuff and was able to help me understand what is going on with me emotionally, and identify the right medication for my condition. She helped connect me with a doctor to prescribe antidepressants. She cares about me and is compassionate and kind. When she explained her ideas to me, she was clear and took the time to answer my questions and be sure I understood her theory and what she was thinking about me and my situation. No other psychologist has ever done that for me, and I’ve seenmany in my life.

Dr Amy Vail helped our family through the toughest part of our lives. Our daughter was struggling while we were on holiday in Tahoe City. We got referred to Dr Vail by a counselor in ER. She took full ownership of the situation and guided us when we felt totally helpless. Amy is kind, approachable and extremely knowledgeable. She was quick to diagnose the symptoms and directed us to appropriate doctors in the area immediately. She was available whenever we needed her and she held our daughter's hand till the acuteness passed. After we left Tahoe, Amy continued therapy and helped us find doctors and therapists through her professional contacts around where our daughter lives and transitioned her care. We are fortunate we found Dr Vail. She guided us through the hardest phase in our lives as parents with warm and compassion that our daughter needed. We will are very grateful.

Dr. Amy Vail feels more like a good friend than your therapist. This is not a weakness but one of Amy's many strengths. She is a gifted intuitive and provides you with the real life skills to get out of your old stories and begin to write your new story with the custom tools she provides for you.
