Dr. Amy Renee Rouse-Ho

I made an appointment with Dr. Rouse and was told my husband would be able to attend the ultrasound with a mask. He was working out of town at the time, took off work and drove three hours to come to the ultrasound of our baby. Only after coming to our appointment were we told he would not be allowed in to the ultrasound because of a new rule Dr. Rouse had made banning husbands from attending the ultrasounds. It is an important event for both parents to be present for and he wanted to be present for each of his children’s ultrasounds. It would have been more professional to contact us and let us know this was their new policy before he took off work and drove three hours to come. We chose to go to a more accommodating establishment who chooses to include both parents.

I was referred to Dr. Rouse due to some unexplained bleeding during my pregnancy. She determined nothing was wrong with me or my baby, however, I had to go back several times due to other “problems” that would magically vanish by the next appt. Then, there would be something else wrong and a “need” for a follow up again. I had no choice but to trust her, but I now realize I should have gotten a second opinion. It was a lot of unnecessary stress for an already stressful pregnancy. If I ever have any problems in the future, I will not go back to her. To add, my baby was born completely and 100% healthy.

My experience with Dr. Rouse was truly one for the nightmares. My child is 10 months old now and I still shudder at the thought of how my visit with her went. I thankfully sought treatment elsewhere after leaving her office in tears thinking my baby was in imminent danger -which simply was not true. I can only hope that no one ever has to experience what we went through.

I was a nervous wreck when I heard I had to see the high risk doctor. Dr. Rouse was amazing. She explained everything to me and was comforting while also honest. I'm so glad she was there to hold my hand through it!

Her office did not return a call. She was referred by a doctor equally as incompetent we later found out. Go elsewhere. I cannot stand an office that acts as though they are doing you the favor by seeing you.

I saw her numerous times throughout my pregnancy and she was simply amazing. She was very compassionate, willing to listen and educate. She will be one of the positive memories I have during my pregnancy with my first child.

Dr. Rouse is very approachable and does not talk above you. I feel she had my best interest at heart.
