If I could rate this "Dr" in the negative, I would. She evidently didn't have the knowledge or the disire to find the problems that I have so she wanted to throw me out with the trash. She did surgery on me and the same issue was back a couple of days later. You never see or talk to her at all. If you are having GI problems find someone that will do what they say and she is not it. If I could give .5 of a star I would. This office milked my insurance for over a year for bariatric surgery. They told me my insurance company required a 6 month wait for surgery... a little over a year later I got fed up and went to Lexington, Baptist Health and had it completed within three months. The nurse at that office told me my insurance only required a 3 month wait. Never once did I meet this Dr. regarding my surgery. The wait times in her office are horrible and her staff is a bunch of rude women who think they are better than everyone else and look down on you. Do yourself a favor and go away from this hospital for any procedures regarding this Dr. If I could give .5 of a star I would. This office milked my insurance for over a year for bariatric surgery. Very uncaring doctor. Disrespectful. Long wait times. When it was time to meet with her right before surgery appointment she decided not to keep the appt because I didnt have anyone with me. I had been going to appts for 2 months, did everything required, and had been on the all liquid diet for a week prior to last appt and had saw 3 other staff members the same day and was briefed on the surgery. Amy Johnson did surgery on one of my family members. When she was finished, his stomach was bulging on one side. He had colon cancer and she never had him return for follow up visits. In the end, the way she did my family members surgery, the other surgeons couldn’t get a feeding tube in. He suffered terribly with his cancer in the end. I DO NOT recommend Amy Johnson. My GP scheduled appt with Amy Johnson after ultrasound revealed septated gallbladder. Met with a nurse and nurse practitioner. After several questions the nurse practitioner(who was great by the way) said they need more info(another test) than septated gallbladder for surgery. thought I was there for consultation with the Dr. After driving over 50 miles and a $27.33(20%) copay i expect to at least SEE the dr..maybe speak with her for, I don't know...at least a few minutes so we could discuss septated gallbladder in more detail. Didn't lay eyes on her. Now that's a first. I won't be back.

I would highly recommend this wonderful doctor she absolutely saved my life . Her staff is excellent.I would recommend anyone to this doctor because she truly cares for her patients and she is a very good surgeon she also done my daughters surgery excellent job on both of us.

Dr Johnson done a hi hernia repair surgery on me . It was very successful and I feel so much better. I want to say thank you Dr Johnson. I recommend her to anyone she is a great doctor. They work fast and very nice dr and staff.

I would highly recommend Amy Johnson. She is a wonderful dr. She performed gastric bypass surgery on me in 2016, and after losing 120lbs she did a hernia repair with a panulectony(removal of skin from stomach) in December 2018. I have done awesome with both surgeries. And I credit that to a great Dr.

Dr. Johnson performed my husbands appendectomy. She saw him prior to surgery, explained the procedure, and the process. She personally called me from the OR to let me know he did well, and he was In and out within an hour. Her abx precautions made it possible for him to go home that afternoon. Highly recommend her.
