Be alert: the Lake Forest Park UW Medicine, Northwest Hospital and Medical Center has billed a "well child" appointment as a "sports physical". This cost $100. My son had not seen a physician for 2 years, and the appointment was for a routine "well child". I see this as a billing clerk problem but after 5 conversations with the office at LFP and the overseer (Marcus B. Patient Advocate) they refused to enter it as it was. No one at the clinic warned me. I've yet to know others who were charged for such when getting a form signed for school sports. Northwest Pediatrics doesn't switch the charge like this.
