Very personal and I felt at ease

I had no problem with Dr. Puri himself, but… This practice is terrible. They lost my referral. Then they lost my insurance pre-authorization for a sleep study. They do not answer the phone or return messages. Dr. Puri signed a referral to get a new cpap, but when I contacted the supplier, they had no record of me. One thing they are good at is sending bills.

Horrible doctor! I don't think he should be a doctor. He did not give me any direction or show me how to use the cpap machine. He had a fit because I did not use it because it was blocking my nose and suffocating me. He did not tell me he needed to retest me to readjust the machine, since i lost weight, instead he told me he had no appointments for me and that I was no longer approved for my surgery. What a waist of time with him.

Doctor Puri is terrible!!! His staff is the same aswell. I feel bad for all the elderly people that he had there in his lobby. I have many reasons to say he is terrible! In my life have I had an medical experience or visit like that. I left there feeling even worse and quite honest depressed. I hope and pray that people read these reviews and see that he is a 2 star doctor. Wow!!! My doctor referred me to him and I immediately wrote her and let her know what had happened. She was shocked!!! Be aware that if you look like you are over 120 pounds... then you are mobibdly obeise. He will not hesitate to tell you that you are morbidly obeise and have a fat neck. Little did he know that There's a reason other then being fat for my neck being this way. Body shaming to it's best!!! Then he says that he is going to check me for sleep apnia and I didn't even go there for that. What!!!? I was appalled by this and in shock. I would give this Dr a rating of -5 if I could. I usually don’t rate Drs but in this case I am willing to make an exception. He came into the exam room rude and crude. Condescending and hostile. I have no idea why. No reason whatsoever. If you value your patient dignity do not see this Dr. The office staff is the most incompetent that I’ve ever dealt with. I am amazed that this office is still open.

Enter review, This office is less than helpful. If I could rate a zero I would. The staff here are unprofessional and inefficient and they cannot be bothered to do basic tasks like returning phone calls or properly informing me of the things I’m asking. They’ve canceled my appointment and rescheduled without informing me ahead of time multiple times, and the wait is always horrible. I always spend two hours minimum waiting at each appointment and the session itself with Dr Puri is generally twenty to thirty minutes at most. At my last appointment, I requested a new prescription for a medication I take to manage my RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome). However, one was never sent and it has now been three months since I ran out of it. I’ve called and left multiple voicemails with both Dr Puri’s assistant and receptionists. My pharmacy has contacted the office to speak with them to request a refill, and yet, all calls are not returned, my pharmacy closed the request because they couldn’t establish contact, and I do not have my medication and can barely get three hours of sleep a nite. I’m absolutely disgusted with this behavior and how any medical professional and staff member thinks this behavior is acceptable or appropriate is beyond me. I called for my 1st appointment and the receptionist didn't remember my name, couldn't find me in the computer and told me to drive there with my referral to make an appointment. She was unfriendly. My referring doctor's nurse told me she had faxed them one but would fax them a second one. I made the appointment but now that I have read the reviews, will cancel and look for a reputable doctor with a professional staff. I feel I have dodged a bullet loaded with rudeness and ineptitude. I saw the horrible reviews on line and was weary about seeing him. My first visit I was seen quickly and the Doctor was very nice. Went for a breathing test same quick and nice. Had a sleep study it was clean and inviting and staff was nice. Went back for results and waited along time to see doctor. When I asked questions he was very rude to me. I get it that it’s very busy there however I don’t think I should’ve been treated that way. He ordered me a CPAP machine his office did not do the paperwork properly and I have been waiting two months for the machine I’ve been told it’s going to work be another six weeks. Took over an hour from sign-in to see the doctor. Tried to tell me I had allergies -- I don't. Tried to tell me I had some sleep disorder--I don't. I refused further tests. I went in with "mild COPD" and came out with several other diagnoses that were NOT ever a reason for seeing him. Dr. would not listen to me when I said I had NO other problems other than mild COPD. Condescending and disrespectful. I am an intelligent person. Also, Dr. wanted 3 tests. I refused the sleep test. Tried to schedule 2 other separate 15-minute tests on same day and they gave me two separate dates with receptionist saying that is what they were instructed to do. Hmmmm, so two billings? All about $? I cancelled.

He missed a tele-med call. I called to see what happened and it took 8 days of calling daily to get a hold of someone. They said they would have him call me back at 4pm. Never heard from them. Their office staff is a joke, and dishonest and as far as the care, they specialize in delay of care and that is about it. I can see why his ratings are so low. I have breathing issues and heart disease and they are not responding. He needs to be turned into the medical board. We should all get together and file a major complaint for DELAY OF CARE this is the worse medical treatment I have had in my 62 years of life. If you value your health this is a no brainer see a real doctor, this office and doc is careless and delays care.

I cannot speak to anyone since all calls go to a recording which states leave a message but I never get a call back. I won't recommend him to anyone!

I’d leave a negative if I could WORST Dr office I’ve ever experienced I waited almost 2 HRS to see Dr Puri....who has excessive arrogance and doesn’t listen to you I didn’t get new med for 10 days and that was only after I called which was the one and only time I got through to someone I called 8-10 times, left messages and NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. Of you enjoy sitting for hours waiting on the doctor, this is your place.

Not only did one of the staff argue with me over how a medication I took was spelled and pronounced (she had never heard of it), right before she was chastised by the doctor in front of me for making a huge records mistake, but the Doctor MADE FUN OF MY MENTAL ILLNESS. He asked what I had and immediately laughed and said “whoa-haha. I better not make you mad!” I’m disabled partly due to my mental illness. We went to this mad man office. The medical assistant was not very friendly. Then saw Dr. Puri, everything was going fine until an answer he wanted was not given right and he hit his desk with the pen and threw a tantrum. We went up to the front desk and told the secretary that he was inappropriate and unprofessional and didn't wanted to continue his services. He requested a lot of unnecessary tests. I am a disabled veteran that was referred by the VA to Dr Puri. Their administrative practices do not include that you MUST complete their verbal history BEFORE your appointment. I was called and tried repeatedly to get through their voicemail system and left hanging on hold for 45 minutes over three separate calls without speaking with anyone. They then told me that because it was MY fault that I did not complete their process, that my appointment was cancelled. I have had nothing but positive things to say about dr purri and his staff .great guy straight to the point did not put me through a lot of tests ..sleep apnea is no joke this mans a life saver thx dr purri and staff

My husband and I both see Dr. Puri, he is very professional and thorough. His staff is outstanding. We just can't imagine the bad ratings.

I've been to a few other sleep specialist. These people rock! Very professional,and made me feal at home. Dr Puri is the best and he knows what he is doing. Also a high five to BIll the sleep study nurse. I just need to say this, these people saved my life thanks.

My appt was 11:00am I was out at 11:44. He was very nice and informative. The waiting room was packed and made a little nervous but I was in and out. The front desk they seemed fine to me.

Excellent Doctor dealing with sleep disorders. He shows lots of concern for his patients and has help me see the danger of certain treatment I wish I had the chance to meet him years ago then the things I went through would not have happened. I have taken his advice and now I am on my way to a new life thanks to Doctor Puri and his group of doctors. If your insurance allows you to be able to go to Doctor Puri for lung and sleep problems consider Doctor Puri you definitely will not go wrong I can testify to this I like to add this comment the staff in his office are not reliable an appointment was set up for a Sleep Study and it was canceled because the person had an accident but they were supposed to call and reschedule that was in March I called several times now and no one return the call or reschedule so although the doctor is excellent he really needs to check his staff I like to add to my comment an additional thought I know the office staff has a lot to be desired but now I think they take their attitude from the doctors while I was waiting for my insurance to change so I could return back to Dr. Puri I was going to Banner Sleep Study so when everything was in order I return to Doctors office and had a hard time getting an appointment on the phone so I made a trip to the office and finally got my update and the appointment. The visit after the exam determined I needed a sleep study couple hours before the study it was canceled and I never received a call back to reschedule in fact I never heard from them again. I went to my appointment back to Banner and the head doctor said everything was perfect and he had never seen such a good report. I asked him about a sleep study and he said that wasn’t necessary unless I just wanted to give him money with my record it wasn’t needed. With the comments from Banner in put me in question whether Dr Puri is really a good doctor or one that just wants to make money. I am SO grateful to Dr. Puri for his care of me. Some specifics: 1. In the past, I’ve filled out so many multi-page forms about medical history that have been largely ignored. For my first appointment, Dr. Puri had reviewed the information and even begun formulating hypotheses about what might be causing my health issues. This impressed me. 2. While Dr. Puri confirmed his hypotheses with appropriate testing, he noted that my asthma symptoms, sleep apnea and difficulty breathing had more to do with my acid reflux than with my lungs. He was the first to diagnose this. 3. Dr. Puri provided me with information about treatment options and encouraged me in seeking that treatment. (The treatment I sought was very successful. I no longer have breathing difficulties, sleep apnea, nor asthma symptoms.). 4. Dr. Puri shows his interest and commitment to his family by displaying his children’s art throughout his office. Dr. Puri is really friendly and knowledgeable . Answered all the questions and explained well . The only negative was a long wait time but I guess every doctor’s office has that . Highly recommend him for any respiratory issues .

Dr. Puri is an outstanding and exemplary physician. I had employed numerous physicians as a medical care administrator during my four decade long career and have been treated by outstanding physicians at academic medical centers. Dr. Puri is among the finest physicians whom I have ever encountered!

The doctor was very rude and he got mad because we were asking questions about my fathers options and as a doctor is his job to answers and to let us know the different options we had. He was extremely rude and I will not go back to this doctor

Please read if you don't want to fall into this man's trap! First review I've every written but I just couldn't let this go by unperceived. This "doctor" scammed my mother into having a bunch of unnecessary tests!!! She went from appointment to appointment just to get a useless test. He forced my mother into getting treated for a condition she did NOT have and he knew it!! Had I been there and known I would've put this to a stop immediately! I think Dr. Puri is one of the best doctors I have here in Tucson. He has done such a thorough study of my COPD problem. His staff is the most friendly and efficient I have dealt with in 20 years in Tucson.

Dr. Puri's office specializes in billing insurance companies for unnecessary tests and poor customer service. I'd give Dr. Puri 1 star, but I've never spent more than 2 minutes with him. An appointment with him means spending 8 minutes with an assistant and having him walk into the exam room and shake your hand then walk out.

For my yearly appointment with Dr. Puri I was yelled at for my lack of CPAP compliance, told I was going to die and berated for my weight gain. He ordered another round of usleess tests for punishment. I won't be taking those tests or returning to his office.

I think Dr. Puri is an excellent doctor. The only problem was that in a year of going to his clinic I only saw him once and that was for about five minutes at my first appointment. The rest of the time I saw his assistant who has no communication skills, was totally unprepared for my appointments and spent all of his time looking at my file trying to figure out who I was and why I was there.

My wife and I have, we believe apnea. After reading these horrendous reviews we won’t go to this MD.

Very poorly run office. You can wait literally hours for your appointment. These people need to hire a new office manager. Worst staff in many years.

I found the office staff to be unprofessional at best. The doctor talked to me as if I was 5 years old instead of a college graduate. The sleep study was the worst! I've had several and this one was so bad I never returned for the results! It was an abysmal experience to say the least!!!

This is an absolutely awful place. Horrible experience after horrible experience! The office staff are THE most rude and disrespectful people I’ve ever encountered in all my life. The person who answers the phone for new appts option is so rude and belligerent. Talks down to you, doesn’t listen to you, never apologizes for their mistakes. Blames mistakes on someone else. She cut me off numerous times on the phone, I couldn’t even finish my sentence. I waited for the dr for 2 hours, 1 hr in waiting room, then 1 hr in room. Then some other guy, a Dr. ? that I’ve never met before comes in and starts talking to me about my sleep study results that I waited 3 wks to have that appt for. It was rushed, he didnt know my case or history and didn’t explain all the other 4 separate tests I had to take off work for. They lie, Follow up appts were never scheduled after telling me they would. The worst place ever. This is my second go around with this office in about 9 years. Got feelings hurt when I was told I was fat (185 lbs) that that's why I suffer from a sleeping disorder. SMH. Second time around nothing still has not changed. First of all they had me go for a sleep study out in Green valley "guy was super nice". Then "THEY" schedule your appointments/procedures for you. I had to reschedule most of the time. I lived 12 miles from their office. One visit a 5 minute EKG. Next visit for a 20 minute walking stress test "which that guy was super nice" we talked mostly about the office", then 3-4 days later a breathing test that probably don't take more than 20 minutes, 3-4 days later some other test that is probably also 20 minutes. Did not go to those. Either forgot because they do not do reminder calls or no gas. Each and every time billing the insurance. I completely stopped going to much driving and gas. Why they can't schedule that ALL in one day, Like most places do, is beyond me. I asked my doctor for another referral to go somewhere else. I was very surprised to see negative reviews here. From day one, I've had a great experience with Pima Lung & Sleep. They were able to see me 3 months sooner than other sleep doctors and everything was a breeze. If I had one complaint, it's that the beds in the sleep lab aren't big enough for someone of my size (6'-6") but I'm sure you see the irrationality of that as well. As a side note, I ran into Dr. Puri in a grocery store parking lot one day about a week after my original consultation. He came up to me, asked how I was doing, and offered to help me unload my groceries into my vehicle. I can honestly say that something like that has never happened to me before and it just meant the world to me. Just goes to show what kind of person is tending to your healthcare. In April 2017 my husband had 2 Sleep studies done....One year later, he still DOES NOT have a BiPAP or any machine....Yet my husband has many continued , follow up Appointments/ makes NO SENSE. Very difficult office to deal with. Had prior appointments, sleep study, recommended an oral appliance. Have been using if for a few years, it is no longer working, but cannot schedule another appointment with him. Have to get a referral before they will schedule, even though my insurance does not require a referr. I have been using their recommended treatment all this time and need it tweaked. How strange! Guess I'll go to someone else who wants to treat me.

The Worst, an average of 3 hour wait for a scheduled appointment and the staff is very unprofessional and rude.

I'm convinced they over schedule. Wait 2 hours in waiting room for scheduled appointment then get called back to wait another hour to be seen. Horrible service. Moving on to another Dr.!

This practice is disastrously mismanaged. I've been to see them 5 times over the last 8 months. I have never been seen in a timely manner even once. They're always at least an hour behind, sometimes more. I've tried to provide feedback but they just brush off any attempt to have an honest discussion. I had a sleep study done with them but I have not received any results. They cancelled the appointment to receive the results and a treatment. Avoid this practice at all costs. I liked Dr. Puri, felt that he was a very good dr. His office staff was horrendous. I called 7 times to get a CT Scan scheduled that Dr. Puri had ordered. Called 6 times to get copies of my medical records. I finally had to go in person to his office to obtain records. I have been working on getting portable oxygen for a trip with no success. His front desk person was extremely rude when checking in.

Dr. Puri seemed OK, but the customer service of the office is HORRIBLE!

Caring Dr. and kind staff.... He took the time to listen and knew what he was doing!

My experience with Pima Lung & Sleep has been dreadful. Not only could they not keep their schedules straight, but when prescribed information needed to be forwarded to the equipment provider it took many phone calls from me and over 2 weeks before anything could be done. Even then, to start with, the information sent was incomplete. Very frustrating to say the least. I'm sorry I got tied up with these people. I would not recommend this firm to anyone under any circumstances.

Doctor seemed very good and I would like to see him again. However, his receiving and appointment staff are the worst and will not let me. It took many calls over months to get them to actually book me for an appointment. Then after that initial visit the staff changes the tests you are to have as well as the dates and times. I can not believe the doctor is aware of his staff ruining his practice. Once you make any complaint the staff refuses to let you see or speak to the doctor again.

Last appointment, 80 miles round trip from Green Valley, Dr. Puri was out of town and we were never informed before the trip.

I had several appointments with Dr. Puri. Rude receptionist You sign and are told to wait. After about 30 minutes you are called back to reception desk to present insurance card and credit card. You are then told to have a seat and wait. After another 30 minutes you are taken back for blood pressure teat. Then you are put in a room to wait again. Finally Dr. Puri sees you and listens to your lungs and writes ANOTHER PRESCRIPTION. You see him for about 4 minutes. He schedules several appointment

First you have to have 2 appointments for tests. I went for first appointment, and was told to fill out a form on the computer. I typed in my first initial, and all patients with that initial popped up, so I could get into their charts. It took over two hours, because it keeps asking the same questions over and over.Then They informed me that the machine for the test was broken, and they didn't have the courtesy to call me and let me know, They billed my insurance, even though I saw no one.

Plan on waiting at least 1 hr after your scheduled appt before they call you in to see the Dr. The receptionist is not very friendly. If I had a choice I would NOT use Pima Lung for treating my sleep apnea.

The office staff are horrible.. Simply horrible and rude. Wish I had an option for no stars, it was that bad.

Do not go here for anything!!! Aweful service. and never got my results they just kept canceling over and over again until I went to someone else. Then they billed me for wrong stuff.

Horrible experience. Quality patient care definitely compromised at this office. Beware and steer clear of this place. I wish I had listened to the reviews I had read about this office in the first place.

They don't care about their patiance I been waiting on a med refill for a week they claim the pharmacy never fax it I have checked w the pharmacy n they have showed me the log of faxes to request a refill starting on 11/11/15 now they claim the Dr is out of office till the 30th and there is no one that can sign the refill. But they got someone to sighn off on one other medication, They have a 73 yr old lady suffering because they are to lazy to do their job. I guess it's time ofter 6 yrs to find a new doctor someone that actually cares... They scheduled me 4 weeks out, with no sooner appointments offered. On the day of my appointment they called me at 7:30am to cancel it, when i called back they were not open, apparently they do not open until 8am. So why call me to tell me to call you back if I can't!? Then when i called at 8am they told me they had not recieved my medical records yet but expected them that day. You had a month and never contacted me there was an issue, So I rescheduled for 2 days later. I called them back the next day to see if my records had come in and they hadn't but was told they would call me back in 20 minutes to let me know what the issue was..5 hours later they still had not called. On the day of the rescheduled appointment they called me and again canceled on me. They are rude, unprofessional, and I had my Primary Doctor refer me to another sleep specialist. rude receptionist, sloppy office (canceled 2 appointments without notice) sloppy paper work ( sent claims to wrong insurance company, wrong home address, etc.) ; doctor did not read previous records; did not address symptons, seemed focused on diagnosing me with sleep apnea even though I had tested negative for that.
