I went for a consultation thinking that’s all I would do that day. However, I felt so comfortable with Dr Patel that I went ahead and had the procedure done that day. He’s amazing! My results are awesome!

Dr. Patel was amazing. I had a deviated septum and had difficulty breathing for years. At my first follow up I could breathe clearer than I had in a very long time. I wish I had done this sooner. Dr. Patel is not only a great surgeon but also super personable. He made the experience extremely low stress. I would highly recommend him.

In April 2022 I came to Dr Patel with only half of my nose that was removed from nasal cancer surgery for assessment and begin a 6 stage nose reconstruction. I hate being stared at and to have a huge hole on my face drew constant unwanted attention and I couldn't wait to o get it fixed. I recommend Dr Patel to anyone in need of facial reconstruction surgery. My nose turned out great and I'm no longer embarrassed to be in public . As a bonus Dr Patel has an amazing team that are excellent at helping you.

I have never had a doctor as thorough and educational as Dr. Patel. He explained everything about my deviated septum so well with a comforting bedside manner. His team is wonderful and my entire experience could not have been better. I love how he has a background in not only medicine but also sculpture/art. This really helps ease my nerves about a facial operation. I hope to schedule my surgery soon, and I would recommend him to anyone.

I had a great experience from initial consultation through post operative following for facial reconstructive surgery after a large facial defect from skin cancer

I am forever grateful for Dr. Patel and his Team. I had surgery in June to correct breathing issues and my crooked nose due to an old injury. My results are phenomenal, I couldn't be happier. I can finally breathe equally through both sides of my nose for the first time in 24 years and my nose is straight!!!! Dr. Patel is highly skilled, compassionate, and treats you like family. His staff are extremely helpful, caring and there to answer any questions you may have. I cannot recommend him enough, we need more than 5 stars...

I had facial trauma after a fall on the beach in June 2019. It included a chin wound that had gone all the way through the skin, which was stitched at an urgent care near the accident. When it healed, a small, but thick, and noticeable lump formed over the site. It could *sort of* be covered up with makeup, but due to the way it healed, it was still there, no matter how I tried to cover it up. I saw Dr. Patel about 6 days after the accident to get his opinion. One thing I really appreciated was how he advocated for letting the body do its own natural healing as much as possible. I had my revision about 21 months after the accident and it was wonderful experience! The scar is now just a tiny line in the crease of my chin and hardly noticeable. I no longer feel self-conscious about my scar. Dr. Patel and his staff are wonderful and made me feel comfortable every step of the way! I would highly recommend them for facial plastic surgery.

I was referred to Dr. Patel by a trusted family member. I had major reconstructive surgery scheduled, but the surgery was canceled the night before. Due to reasons never explained to me, I was not allowed to reschedule the procedure. Dr. Patel did not have the basic decency to follow up with me in the weeks that followed, despite a personal request from a colleague. He wasted my time and money and his complete lack of consideration for his patient created unnecessary stress for months following the proposed surgery. Furthermore, I ended up having the procedure done at Central Baptist and the major surgery (and recovery) Dr. Patel proposed was 100% unnecessary. Instead of a 5 hour surgery, I had a 30 minute procedure to fix the issue. I filed a formal complaint against him as a result. Truly the worst experience I've ever had with a physician. I'm grateful I didn't end up with Dr. Amit Patel as my surgeon. My advice: ALWAYS get a second opinion from another practice when you are considering any kind of surgery.

In 2020 a visit to my dermatologist resulted in the discovery of a melanoma on the end of my nose. The surgery to remove it resulted in a hole on the end of my nose about the size of a quarter which I brought to Dr Patel to reconstruct. This is a scary series of events; melanoma is probably as bad a skin cancer as you can have and getting a big chunk of your nose removed is not much better. But this is the part of my story where things started looking brighter. Dr Patel explained my options and I chose the one that was not the easiest but had the best probability of a normal looking face when all was said and done. The first procedure he did was to remove a flap of skin from my forehead and while it was still connected to me with a small artery in it, he rotated it down and filled in the hole in my nose. This allowed the skin to heal while having enough of a blood supply. Now the hard part, 3 weeks of having this pedicle extend from about eye level to the end of my nose. It made me very self-conscious and I tried to not go out in public unless I had to. I told my friends that I was trying out for a star trek role as an alien. I wear reading glasses and it made it difficult to read or use my computer until the pedicle came off. Finally, I returned to Dr Patel’s office to have another surgery to remove the pedicle. Yeah, normal again and incredibly pleased with the results. Looking at me know you don’t even see it unless you have had it done to you, or someone close to you. So, I just went in for my one-year checkup. Looking back and asking myself would I do it again? Absolutely, three uncomfortable weeks to get rid of a potentially fatal cancer was well worth it. About 2 years before meeting Dr. Patel, I had my first unsuccessful surgery to correct a deviated septum. This was something I'd been born with that had worsened over the years to the point that I suffered from minor breathing difficulty and nearly constant sinus infections, despite treatment with the strongest antibiotics or any noninvasive procedures. After mt first septoplasty, I was excited to finally know what it felt like to breathe normally. The result was the polar opposite. Not only did my breathing trouble worsen, but the infections worsened. I shrugged it off as "bad luck" and as soon as I was offered a 2nd surgery to revise it, I jumped at the opportunity, despite the fact that the recovery had been one of the most painful things I'd ever dealt with. The results of the 2nd surgery can only be described with one word...WORSE. Everything got worse. During early recovery, you're expected to sleep with your head raised to prevent drainage, etc. From the time of the recovery from the first surgery, until meeting Dr. Patel 2 years later, I never slept laying down in my bed and was restricted to a recliner because as my breathing worsened, I became unable to breathe laying down. I became depressed, unable to do even the simplest things due to shortness of breath. I can't tell you how much I took sleeping in bed for granted! It sounds like something so meaningless, but once you can't do it, it becomes so important. A month after my surgery with Dr. Patel, I was able to sleep without even snoring, much less any serious difficulty breathing. I can't begin to explain how wonderful that felt. At our first meeting, I was skeptical. I was convinced that there was no chance of improvement and that the PAINFUL recovery I'd experienced wouldn't be worth going through a 3rd time. Dr. Patel seemed confident that he could help me and I decided to roll the dice against a lifetime of breathing difficulty and the constant risk of infection, pneumonia, etc. I am so glad that I did. You never know how much you appreciate the simple act of breathing until you can't do it. And when you can't breathe, nothing else matters. If you are having a similar experience, if you are skeptical, if meeting Dr. Patel wasn't or isn't enough to convince you, please take my experience into account and give yourself the chance to breathe again. My last recovery was actually easier than the first two somehow...and now I'm able to breathe again, to sleep normally again, to not be constantly sick. It was worth it. Dr. Patel and his staff were very courteous and helped to elevate my stress and fear. I was treated as a human being instead of just another patient. I was concerned of course about surgery to my face. Pain was minimal and my recovery was complete after only 3 weeks. That was really only swelling of the nose. Very little bruising occurred. Seven years ago, my daughter and I were in a car wreck that left me blind in my right eye and did extensive damage to the right side of my face. I was extremely fortunate to have Dr. Patel as one of the surgeons working to reconstruct my face that day. The work he did was simply amazing. Seven years later, as I am continuing to heal both physically and emotionally from the trauma, I went to Dr. Patel to hear his opinion on possibly raising the skin under my right eye to not only decrease the irritation to my eye from constant air flow, but to increase the symmetry in my face. I knew he would give an honest opinion and strategize how to make it happen. I was nervous as plastic surgery can be a scary thing, but I also know from prior experience Dr. Patel is an expert at what he does. Upon healing from the operation, I have no regrets in my decision. For 22 years I had breathing problems, I had a deviated septum & some other things wrong. On March 25, 2021 Dr.Patel changed my life forever. The surgery has been an absolute success and I love it so much. I can finally breathe all the way out of the left side of my nose. The healing process wasn’t very painful, just make sure you do your nasal rinses!! I can say the worst thing about it was I felt very congested from the packing and nasal cones but it got better day after day & I can say 20 days after having the surgery as I type this I can’t even begin to explain how amazing it feels, it’s indescribable! I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Patel and his staff. I have been extremely insecure about my nose for most of my life, and have always slightly struggled with breathing issues. I’m only 19 years old, so I was really nervous when i decided that I wanted surgery. On May 13th I had a Rhinoplasty with Dr. Patel. From my first consultation with Dr. Patel, my nerves were calmed and all of my questions were answered. He was very kind and caring and took the time to listen to me and talk to me and my family. I’m now 2 weeks post op and I’m so happy with my results!! Dr. Patel did exactly what I dreamed of and more. He treats every patient with compassion and always listens to them. Not only is he great, but his staff is also. Each and every one of them offered great care towards me and was available to answer any questions I had & to make me feel more comfortable. I am so grateful that a local ENT doctor referred me to Dr. Patel for my septorhinoplasty. After only a few minutes of observation and hearing my story, Dr. Patel was able to tell me exactly why I have the breathing issues I have and what improvements he could make with my breathing and chronic sinus and allergy problems. He was very honest about the process and about which surgical procedures would provide maximum benefit with minimal invasiveness. For me, a multi-faceted approach fixed the majority of my breathing problems - a straightened deviated septum, a reduction of enlarged turbinates, the strengthening of a collapsed nostril wall, and a slight enlargement of the bridge of the nose to increase air flow. The most assuring thing about Dr. Patel is that he listens. He listens to why you are there. He listens to what problems you are having, what results you want, what questions you have. He then devises a plan with you for your treatment and walks with you through every step.

I wish I would’ve known and I would’ve done this sooner! I am so happy with the difference the nasal surgery has made in my breathing. Its been 4 months since my rhinoplasty and I am so happy with my results. I didn’t have to take any pain medication after surgery because this surgery was so smooth. I haven’t had to use my CPAP since surgery. I am sleeping better, breathing better, and feel like a new person. This surgery has made such a huge difference in my life because now I can sleep the whole night through without a breathing machine and I wake up with energy. My husband is much happier because I’m not as grumpy and more energetic. This is all due to Dr. Patel and staff!

I feel like my surgery was life changing. I had Bell’s Palsy 2 years ago as well as a broken nose in high school. After the Bell’s Palsy, I had a collapsed nasal passage. I could only breath out of one nostril and I wasn’t to sleep. I had terrible sleep apnea and hadn’t had a good nights sleep in 2 years. I was pleased with my surgery experience. The first four post -op days were rough, but tolerable. I’m currently 3 weeks post op and I feel so much better. I breathe and sleep so much better therefore feel better. My blood pressure has improved as well. I am very appreciative of Dr. Patel and would highly recommend him.

I’m one year post-op and couldn’t be more thrilled with my results. Dr Patel performed an 8 hour nasal reconstruction in December 2019 after two prior failed surgeries by another surgeon many years ago. Since birth I had major breathing problems, sinus infections, etc and it had caused me serious quality of life problems. Not only did he correct the health problems I had, but his staff (Desiree) and he both have impeccable bedside manner and post-op follow-up care. Highly recommend Dr Patel to anyone considering or in need of facial reconstruction.

My Dad underwent radical head and neck surgery due to an aggressive cancer. After recovery and radiation treatments, we were referred to Dr. Patel. Dr. Patel has performed a series of surgeries on my Dad to help restore some of the characteristics and function that was lost due to his cancer. This has also restored my Dads confidence in himself. Dr. Patels skills are truly amazing but he is also very caring and compassionate. His bedside manner is unsurpassed. He and his team make themselves available to their patients should any questions arise. My Dad was never one to go to the doctor much until this illness arose. He says “Dr. Patel is a great guy”. That’s quite a compliment coming from my Dad. We are truly blessed to have been treated by Dr. Patel and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I would highly recommend Dr. Patel to anyone who is needing restorative surgery. I am beyond pleased with the outcome of my skin graft surgery on my nose that took place on August 7th, 2020. I believe he is a highly skilled Surgeon. Dr Patel was gracious, kind, and confident every time we met with him. I had a septoplasty/rhinoplasty procedure performed by Dr. Patel about a month and a half ago! I am amazed and so happy with my results! I do have a word of advice for anyone who is needing/thinking about getting a septoplasty/rhinoplasty. I came in the day of my consultation with several pictures of my nose that I had sketched. I wanted to make sure that I did my part and communicated as thoroughly as possible with Dr. Patel because I wanted to have very subtle and natural results. If you can’t sketch or draw well, you can always get the app “Face Touchup Nose Job Simulator” I also used this app to help me explain to Dr. Patel what I specifically wanted done and what I wanted my nose to look like. From my experience I am so thankful I went the extra mile to make sure I was on the same page as Dr. Patel. It most definitely made me less nervous the day of my surgery. Dr. Patel will listen very carefully to you and he will take good care of you. I would highly recommend Dr. Patel!!!

Dr. Patel and his staff are outstanding. Dr. Patel did reconstruction on my nose twice after MOHS surgery. I am very pleased with the outcome, and he isn't finished yet. He is very professional and of course pays great attention to details. He always welcomes questions and concerns. His staff, Jenna and Desiree, are exceptional as well. They went above and beyond their job description after my surgery. I had questions and emailed Jenna on the weekend, thinking she would get back to me Monday. Not so. She responded that very day and continued to correspond with me throughout the weekend. When I called the office and went in for followups, Desiree answered my questions and gave me information that was very helpful. I have been suffering from a deviated septum for 30 years. After meeting with Dr. Patel, he gave me the comfort and trust to resolve my issue. He performed a functional rhinoplasty, and after surgery I had no packing in the nose, little to no bleeding, pain or other issues. He is professional and kind. Hes a amazing straight forward doctor. He done an amazing job on my nose after it had gotten broken and I couldnt breathe. Now I breathe at a 100 percent and if I have any concerns they get answered! Amazing doctor!

When I checked in my wait time was at the most 10 minutes. Dr. Patel takes his time explaining what he can offer to fix the problem you are having. Mine was my nose and I am very satisfied of the outcome from surgery.

Dr. Patel was my emergency plastic surgeon in 2011 after I had been mauled by a dog on my face. He did an amazing job with the 60+ plus sub-surface and surface sutures, but even more important to me was his compassionate manner. He spoke to me gently during the surgery (for which I had to be awake) and in the weeks after was reassuring for the healing ahead. He is a godsend and a very caring and compassionate doctor. You are treated like family with him and he treats you the way he would want to be treated. His staff are the best and he takes his time and answers all your questions and explains everything he is going to do and puts your mind right at ease. I recommend him to anyone that needs plastic surgery and wants the best doctor they can get he is your man. Thank you and your staff for everything you did for me I could never thank you enough.

Excellent surgical & customer service skills! Demonstrated compassion & understanding while providing assurance of the positive outcome that I would eventually see following cancer excision & reconstruction. The facial incision line is getting better everyday! Looks great only 5 weeks post-op!
