Dr. Amelia C Wayhs

My son was having problems and she seemed to be unsympathetic and uncaring. Didn't even try to help. I had to find a specialist that gave me the answer to his issue.

Love Dr Wayhs!! She a great doctor and she really cares about her patients

Dr. Wayhs goes above and beyond every visit. If I need a referral she makes sure the Doctor contacts me for an appointment.

I’m a new patient to Dr. Wayhs and staff. Very nice staff with excellent business office ethics. Dr. Wayhs has excellent listening skills and she cares about your well being. I recommend this doctor.

This my favorite doctor, Dr Amelia Wayhs. She has helped me so much and her staff is the best too. Dr Wayhs is professional, knowledgeable, caring and her advise is the best. I have several conditions and with her guidance I have improved substantially. If you do not have a physician you trust, this is your new friend. The office at Charlton Methodist is friendly, calming, and has your best interest at heart. I call her My Angel!

Dr Wahys is hands down one of the finest doctors I have ever had. She is family practice so she can address a variety of conditions with her long impressive experience and impressive diagnostic skills. I was a practicing RN for almost 4 decades. I know an excellent physician when I encounter one. All I can say she has indeed been a blessing to me and now my husband as well.I have probably been her patient for almost 15 years. Her office staff is exceptional too. If you want a Dr that is wise, compassionate and truly cares about your overall well being I can not recommend Dr Wahys enough.

Dr. Wayhs provides excellent care while displaying compassion, professionalism and kindness. It's refreshing to have a highly efficient doctor who cares about her patients. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Wayhs has been my primary doctor for 4 years. Her new office is easy to find. Her staff is welcoming and efficient. Dr. Wayhs takes the time to answer my questions, address any concerns amd explains everything well. She also answers my messages in MyChart. Her compassion, professionalism,kindness and passion to help her patients is amazing. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Wayhs is an incredible doctor. I have not received this kind of care since I was a child and doctors did home visits. She not only is thorough, she cares about 'Your' health and well-being. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and explains your diagnosis/treatment in ways you can understand. I am very confident that Dr. Wayhs will provide the best care possible and she has gained a life long patient with me.

I have been with Dr. Wayhs for about 2 years now. She is the first GP I have seen that actually made me feel like she was listening. To be fair, I am very concise in my descriptions of everything, but she did make me feel like she listened to me in order to address my issues. I already HAVE recommended her to several of my friends, and I will do so again!

My mom had an appointment re scheduled without her concent. She calls every other day to check on the status of her appointments and no answer. Great ,professional ,caring doctor .She listen and always treat you with care and knowledgeable.

She took my BP using a stethoscope and cuff. I asked why she took my BP with the scope and why she did it herself, She said its the most important test a MD can do if making a diagnosis or recommendation. She asked a lot questions and very professional. I have a new MD

I was referred to Dr Wayhs after my PCP of many years retired from the Methodist system and I was left without a primary doctor. Much to my disappointment, Dr Wahys was nothing like the caring , considerate doctor I was accustomed to for so many year prior. I found her to be arrogant, bossy, rude and very rushed at every appointment. She had no time to listen but always had a pill to push. I do not care for prescription medications at all but at my second appointment, when I was quite ill and feeling awful, she asked that I "trust her" and just try a certain medication, promising that I would feel so much better in no time. Against my better judgment, I went along and have regretted it to this day! She never bothered to discuss side effects, long term chances of addiction, or really even told me what the meds were for (yes, I should have asked and done my research) but I was so used to TRUSTING my doctor. I had to go to rehab to get off the meds she prescribed that day.

Dr. Amelia Wayhs is a mean and vindictive healthcare provider. Over time, she has forgotten her hippocratic oath. She regularly refuses to call in a RX for a chronic condition, until an office visit is made. For office visits, her routine is 1. How are you? 2. HB pressure check 3. Listen to lungs 4. Prescribe some pills. 10 minutes later, she's gone. And that's on a good day. She made a recommendation and half-way through, just stopped. No reason or explanation. Just no. Dr. Amelia Wayhs is a pill pusher. She does not spend enough time with patients to treat them correctly. She treats her "special interest" with pills only. Then, she will hold your refills hostage until you pay for a 10 minute office visit. The wait to see her is longer than the time she spends with patients.

I see that many people have been pleased with her treatment. I cannot say the same. This doctor discounted everything thing that I told her and I felt that she did not listen to anything I had to say. Despite me telling her that I have had this condition times before, she asked no questions or tried to probe into the root cause. I called her office to try to see if she was taking new patience and the lady that answered the phone asked what kind I was trying to give her my information and she shorted me and said IF IT NOT PPO we don't take it, told her Dr. Wayhs is in our plan she simply stated " well maybe they have not updated. be if its not PPO, then she went on to say call your insurance company, I thought that was what doctors office do when they want new patience. I have heard good thing about her but if this is what I will get when I go in I will pass because there are plenty doctor out there looking for the money. AWESOME SERVICE ME AND MY DAUGHTER HAVE BEEN WITH HER FOR THE LAST THREE YRS AND YES HER NURSE IS ALSO AMAZING. I WOULD NOT PICK A INSURANCE PLAN SHE DOESN'T PARTICIPATE WITH.

She is very knowledgeable and caring about her patients welfare. We only left her practice due to the change in our location.

Dr. Wayhs is a very good doctor she listens to you and is very helpful. She is very great with my girls. Dr. Wayhs is very nice,loving,cares, and a wonderful person also including her nurse i recommend her to everyone

A great, wonderful & passionate Dr. My daughter & I would go to her when our PCP wouldn't be available, but now we seem to be using her as our first choice. Her nurse is very nice also, Thank you both for your graciousness.
