Dr. Amanda Mary Dove

The worst doctor and experience my son has ever had. Upon making the appointment the receptionist gave the worst attitude unimaginable and I simply stated I didn’t appreciate her rude response/s, this only made her even more foul in the way she spoke. The office is outdated and old and the doctor was beyond rude to my husband and son for no reason other than just not having any empathy for their patients. When they could’ve have made things right and show a drop of kindness, because it only costs zero dollars to be kind, but instead my son gets penalized for it. Do not come here.

Loved Dr. Dove! I was her patient from 2014 to 2023. She was like family. I was a very stubborn patient when it came to my asthma but she kept me on track. Any time I was in the hospital the nurses would tell me how she was the best at what she does. Dr. Dove is an amazing doctor in my opinion and I honestly wish I could've kept seeing her.

She is very rude. Her office is pretty ghetto.

I was one of her patients started at age 7 I am now 24 but stopped seeing her at age 20 I can say she is strict but she means well and loves her patients she is stern but with good intentions. My mom and I love dr.dove and hopefully as a momma now my son will her she’s forever family too us. We love her dearly - xoxo Sidney

To say these parents are lazy is absurd. She is consistently forgetting to tell the parents important pieces of information and/ or directions and then shames you for not following through. You leave her office or her presence feeling as if you are failing your child. She will have the nerve to only speak and face one parent as the other is sitting in the same room and speak about you as if you are not there. I have to now ask why my daughters medical equipment hasnt been ordered yet its been 3 months. There has been a change in her action plan yet when my husband came back from the office the plan is as it was. Now i have to bring it up to god knows what kind of mood shell be in. She is queen Narcissist and brags more about her abilities than understand that us parents did not go to school and are trying and if we had no interest in our childrens health we wouldnt be there in the first place. I am beside myself i have never come across such a crude cold person such as herself. Yes she is invested in her patients but i cannot say she is thorough as i have witnessed many balls dropped on her end yet of course she would never admit it and make you look like you are incompetent as their parent and caregiver. I have already exhausted any politeness i have with Dr. Dove and it takes ALOT to get me there. I dont speak to her i leave her to my husband being that she only spoke to him even that i was there. Patients that call Dr. Dove rude are lazy parents. Dr. Dove knows what she is doing. She teaches parents how to care for a special needs child that will have pulmonary issues for the rest of their lives so if you get on the wrong side of her it's because you are a lazy parent that isn't following the protocol and your kid stays in crisis. She is blunt, honest and expects a lot from parents because that is what is best for the child. She does what is best for the child even if it means tweaking the parent's ego. she has been wonderful to our child. She has developed a relationship with him and speaks openly and frankly to us and to him. Maybe our son is special or he just clicks with her but have never seen a Dr. work to develop a relationship with a child the way she does develop a relationship with a

I was taking my son to see Dr. Dove for the last few years. I met her when my son was in the hospital for his asthma and her bed side manner was great. However after you start going to clinic the caring and consideration is gone. She talks down to you as a parent. Let's not forget the staff she has that works for her. They are rude and argumentative. This past visit for me was the last straw. I had refills in medication that couldn't be filled due to prescriber refusing to allow them to be filled because we missed our 3 month visit due to covid. Regardless of why I find it ridiculous that my son needs to be seen every 3 months when his asthma is chronic and is fine with his medication. In 4 years the plan of care never changed. See the Dr. Every three months when they did absolutely nothing for him besides prescribe medication. She could have changed it to every 6 months and if we needed to see her we could have called.

She saved my sons life. Her protocol saved his lungs and now he is 15 yrs old. He would have never had this beautiful life if she had not been there when he was 5 Mos old

Honestly after reading a few reviews I was nervous about taking my daughter in for a second opinion. I am so glad I did. Dr. Dove is a phenomenal physician. She listens to you, gets on your child's level, and is to the point. We are beyond thankful for Dr. Dove and Olga for getting us in and helping figure out what was wrong with my daughter. At the end of the day, I rather have an old school doctor who is direct, but extremely caring. Thank You Dr. Dove for taking care of our girl! Her staff is nice but shes so judgemental, she knows we live 2 hours away and never wants to sign any paperwork for my childs medical equipment until we take him in, yet when we take him all she does is sit there, give her opinion abput how she neeeeds to see him more often(im assuming literally) cause thats all she does... and send us off. Dr. Dove is a beacon of hope and saving treatment, especially in these covid times. For the past year I've been overlooked as a nervous mother because I had a toddler that was chronically ill. Dr. Dove is an amazing Dr. She cares for 3 of my children and always has their best interests at heart. She is great with the kids and talking with them and asking questions. She is kind with the worries of parents and takes her time in addressing the concerns. She has a wonderful bedside manor and has made a big impact on our family. We will be patients and fans of Dr. Dove for many more years!

Excellent practice. During covid-19 we are able to check in from vehicle, and are called straight into an exam room. Dr. Dove is a wonderful pulmonologist, we are blessed to have her. My son suffered from undiagnosed asthma for years under his regular pediatrician, until he was hospitalized back to back that we recieved a diagnosis, and a referral. Adopting Dr. Dove's prescribed regimine has brought stability into our lives. No more unexpected episodes, attacks, no more hospitalizations, or worry. We have all the information, and tools we need to stay successful, and we can rely on Dr. Dove to adjust his regimine if necessary for optimal health! We are absolutely blessed. Excellent practice. I have known Dr Dove for years and I can tell you she is very knowledgeable and caring about her patients. She has taken care of my four grandchildren and has gone out of her way to help them. I can tell you that if she gets “rude” it’s because she has told you what needs to be done, and when you don’t follow instructions then she lets you know. She is a very straight shooter and doesn’t sugar-coat her message, and that is because she cares about her patients and wants them to get well. So get over it and do what she tells you to do. This Dr cost me $800 out of pocket- they took my insurance just for the visit but then they send you to the Methodist to get tested for asthma. Then the the hospital send you a bill to use the equipment that the insurance does not cover. They never told us this or apologized.

Poor service and rude. Every appointment she is behind. Every appointment my family has to wait well over an hour each time. I dont recommend her to any one. She make things difficult everytime and id very unprofessional. I will be looking to switch doctors asap. Google and WebMD is a better choice then her. If i could give 0 stars I would. Like another patent said below, Dr. Dove is rude and extremely unprofessional. I took my daughter to her multiple times just to give her the benefit of the doubt but everytime we went she was horrible! We now have a wonderful, polite and most of all knowledgeable pulmonalogist that has truly taken care of my daughter and gotten her to a place where she has no issues anymore! Dr. DOVE saved my son's life 13 yrs ago. There is not a birthday or milestone that goes by that I don't think of her. She made it possible for him to have those experiences. She is a wonderful doctor. Shes not going to baby you as a parent she is going to educate you.

Been seeing her for 10 years. She is Awesome! She helped save my son's life. Quality of care is great. Takes her time with her patients. Extremely knowledgeable and worth the "office wait time" if any. ?

Very disappointed in the professionalism of Dr Dove and staff. As medical providers, our first priority is the care of our patients. I've never collaborated with a more unprofessional Dr in my 10+ year career. She was negative, judgmental, and it seemed she lost her compassion for the children she treats and their families. Dr Dove is amazing. One year our son was hospitalized for an bad asthma atrack. One of the doctor's in the hospital wanted to insert a tube into his chest to help him breathe ( very dangerous, hard to remove and hard to get the patient to learn to breathe on their own). Dr Dove stopped that real quick. It's like the other doctor wanted to do the operation just to be able to put it on her resume or something. Some people dont like how blunt she is about the health of their child if they do not ensure that the child is not properly taking their meds. Dr. Dove has a passion for caring and getting kids well. she has been a God sent for my son Isaiah and we really appreciate everything she has done for him.

Dr. Dove has saved all 3 of my children. She has worked late into the night to ensure they were getting the care they need. She might not be your best friend but she will save your childs life.

Dr. Dove is awesome. Sometimes I hear people complaining about the wait time in the office. Her love, care and compassion is tailored for each patient. Dr. Dove is very committed to her patients and is "worth the wait". My son has been with Dr. Dove for 8 years now and I'm thankful to God for her.

a doctor that's very attentive when it comes to your child health

I don't want anyone to miss out on saving their loved ones life by passing by this doctor. Yes she is strict and is blunt but I know she cares about her patients because she is the only Dr. ever to get my daughters asthma maintained and has sat with me as long as needed to get all my questions answered. It does tend to be a long wait time but trust me it is worth it. My daughter has had multiple ICU stays until I saw Dr. Drove and so yes I will wait as long as it takes.

Dr. Dove is an amazing Doctor who cares about her patients. She 100% has their best interest at heart. She provides the best quality care possible. She is amazing we have been seeing her for 4 years and I trust her with my daughters life.

Dr. Dove is the only person who go my son asthma under control . She is a straight to the point person an some may not be able to handle that , took me some time. But she l know she loves her job, a couple years ago my son had a bad asthma attack and was in the ICU at Children's and she stayed they look after him, seeing her put me at great ease because I knew he was in the best hands. I would and have recommended Dr. Dove to my friends with children that have asthma.

If I could leave a zero star I would. Horrible bedside manner and office staff is terrible. Nobody ever has any idea what they are doing and office visits take hours. Very poor experience.

Good evening, I came to my appointment 30min before time thinking I could see the doctor early my appointment was at 12 noon and I went back at 1pm remind you I came at 1130 am this don't make seen the only thing they can say is we short handed which is understandable, just reschedule people appointment. For the last year we've have not been seen at our schedule appointment time. Wait time is between 45 min to 2 hours. No apologies or explanation. It is unacceptable. She is never friendly and always judgemental
