My friend went last week to this foreign doctor the doctor that in front of 7-Eleven on Williamsport Pike off of Berkeley station road she went in there to go get her knees checked out cuz she's having a pain she had to wait an hour and a half to get seen and she had to wear the mask and when the doctor went to go see her she went to talk to the doctor and the doctor told her that she has to keep her mask on she's asthmatic she can't breathe with mask on she took it down for a couple minutes to talk with him he jumped on her not keeping her mask on. it was a guy doctor and she got a bill 3 weeks later saying that the doctor charger $600 just to talk for 15 minutes and she has to pay $20 that doctor is not a doctor he has no heart of being a doctor if you're going to love people I love to help them you would do it from your heart I know paying is good you have to get paid to be seen but it is the idea of take a time with your patient and understand them some doctors don't understand patients My friend went last week to this foreign doctor the doctor that in front of 7-Eleven on Williamsport Pike off of Berkeley station road she went in there to go get her knees checked out cuz she's having a pain she had to wait an hour and a … More

Covid season got a text message saying to check in via app and someone would be out. I waited over 30 minutes in the parking lot finally went inside was told I was too late for my appointment and would have to reschedule. I said no it’s not my fault I did what I was told to do...took me back sat on a 1982 gurney nothing between me and the patient beside me but a curtain! I could hear every single word they said. Zero time spent with me wanted to send me to physical therapy...that was their answer to my pain! Billed my insurance 695.00 for absolutely nothing!!! Unprofessional from entry to exit! I received the best care from Dr. Gopal! I found the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I received multiple back injections and felt 100% better when i left! My daughter also received wonderful care from Greg Morrell the PA

I have been under pain management for about 20 years all because I am allergic to NSAIDS. I also have migraines that are caused by my neck. This is the 3rd practice I have been with only because of a move. I can not say enough about this practice and they way they have cared for my daughter and myself. They are very careful with what medical care they provide and believe that "less is more." The practice has a pharmacist that works closely with the patients and the doctors. They work to find answers to problems even if the answers might be "out of the box". At the same time they offer state of the art treatment that are patient driven. I recently went in with "a pinched nerve " and they were able to treat me that same day during that appointment, since their schedule allowed. If it hadn't I only would have needed to wait till the next morning. The only issue we have had is the days and times the local office is open. We tend to do most of our doc calls on Monday and the Martinsburg office has been closed on that day. The work around is that the answering service that schedules new appointments will take messages and forward them to the office. The other option is to call one of their other offices that is open, that your doctor works out of. I would recommend this practice to anyone that want to improve( or in some cases maintain) their current activity level. Again I cant say enough about the practice! My grandmother has severe degeneration in her spine as well as arthritis in her hips. Dr Gopal has done amazing work with her. He doesnt just medicate he works to make the underlying problem better. The staff is very caring and supportive as well. I would certainly recommend.

Just read all the other reviews, most of all the negative stuff I have been through myself. FIRST, there really was no privacy at all with them until people complained and then they made changes to help out. You could hear everyones discussion with the doctors?!?!? Most of their staff is not very professional and down right rude sometimes. I mean for $400 a visit, I would expect so much more empathy from them and the doctors. If you are prescribed pain medication, be prepared to visit them every month for your refills (even though you may have been going to them monthly for years and have always past your tests). Yes they can give more than one month prescriptions at a time, at THEIR convenience or choosing. The more and more I think about it, its just a money game. Wait 45 minutes for doctor, 5 minute discussion, get prescription, see ya in 30 days. They dont communicate well between staff or other locations. I have had many mix ups on my prescriptions from them, you know the Professionals. They do offer injections and I have heard it does help some which is great. I found DR Gopal to be a compassionate medical professional who listened intently to me as I described my chronic lumbar back pain; a product of four back surgeries over the past 14 years. He explained what my treatment options where in terms that I could understand. He has performed several pain relieving procedures for me with some success. I have found the nursing staff to be friendly and courteous. The examination area could provide a little more patient privacy as they are only separated by a curtain. I'm not a big fan of doctors due to a couple of severely incompetent things done to me by doctors. And in looking for a pain management practice that actually does good, I went to several others before coming to NSPC. Not one of the practices I saw previous to seeing Dr. Gopal ever did me any good at all. I was only asking for the ability to function on a somewhat normal level, and received no help until my first visit to NSPC and Dr. Gopal and staff. On the first visit I knew I had found what I was looking for. I've been able to function with some normalcy ever since then, and I am grateful for that. I highly recommend these doctors. They're very skilled and not pretentious.

Dr. Gopal is not interested in fully evaluating the possible underlying causes. His evaluations always end with a recommendation for injections. He does not listen. I saw the PA last, and she went to consult him. Gopal did not come into the room to evaluate or ask any questions, but he overturned her evaluation and recommended an injection, claiming prior surgery left scar tissue. I told the PA this problem was before surgery and had not gotten better. Injections $ seems to be all he knows.

Entire operation unprofessional, from reception to professionals.

This place is a joke. Violates HIPAA just being there; privacy is nonexistent. Front office staff extremely unprofessional. Overpriced. And I'm being kind with this post.

Zero listening skills; only interested in what he wants to do. Selling his "pain pump" with his addict pain mgmt nurse in tow was ALL he cared about. Not the best communication and stuff but the ketamine infusions improved my CRPS. As well as the troches. he's not perfect but he's committed and seemingly overworked.

Compassionate, genuinely wants to help even if it means an outside referral. Very knowledgable and smart enough to say that he doesn't know, but will try to find an answer. It's true that some of the procedures are very uncomfortable, but Dr. Gopal tries his best to warn you when a stick and burn are coming; and then he is very comforting... will pat my arm and ask okay? The technician is pleasant and professional. Office staff are very friendly, pleasant, and helpful.
