Dr. Allison Francis Verenna

Dr. Verenna is an amazing doctor and very thorough. We have seen her a few times and now I find myself coming here vs going to my kids pediatrician. Today, she checked for strep and my son didn't have it. Instead of saying he didnt have it and sending us on our way she suggested we check for flu too (which was positive). She cares and while checking the kids she explains what she is checking and whether it is good or explains what she finds. She is a great doctor and definitely one of the better doctors we have seen since moving to Pittsburgh. Dr. Verenna is an amazing doctor and very thorough. Dr. Verenna in an amazing doctor. I always got quality care with her. But since they got the new office and the new staff, i feel like my care has been comprised due to the lack of knowledge of some of the staff. The office manager, and one of the receptionist are comolete idiots. I wish it was still all the orginal people...Patty, Abbey, Krystle, Jenn, etc. They were the amazing and caring staff memebers. Dr. Verenna is wonderful! She takes her time to listen to all of your questions without making it feel as though she is rushing you. Highly recommended!

Dr. Verena doesn't take the time to listen to her patients. She just wants to shove another pill down their throats. I'd recommend the PA over her any day.

I was immensely disappointed with the fact that I was essentially "forced" to meet with the Physician's Assistant before I could even make an appointment with the doctor. I have yet to meet with her, and I was not at all happy with the PA. She appeared to me to be very inexperienced. When I initially called, I was told that it would take a few months to get an appoint with Dr. Verenna, and since I needed some prescriptions filled, I agreed to see the PA. It was a mistake. Not recommended.
