Dr. Carl saved my life in 2001. He takes the toughest cases and that is what sets him apart from others who cherry pick the patients they will see. I had 3 surgeries from another doctor and he really made a mess of my life. Dr Carl spent a year figuring out what was wrong with me and then I had a 9 hour surgery to fix everything. He taught around the world and worked with Christopher Reeves!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Carl for years. He’s a wonderful person! He takes his time and plans things well before going to do something. I can’t believe he’s retiring?? he will be missed

Excellent he did my scoliosis surgery 23 yrs ago when I was 12, absolutely not a single problem since, no pain- he’s the best! And Shanti the receptionist!

I have been a patient of Dr Carl for many years and wouldn't think of another doctor. His staff is professional , kind and easy to work with . Dr Carl has a slightly different personality in the procedure room which tells me this is where he excels and is totally in his element . In the office he is a bit more serious . He is my doctor , his staff are my staff . He completely has my trust.

I never in my life had a doctor sit my down and put my worries to rest. The other doctor wanted to operate asap. Dr Carl said before we do surgery let's try a few different things. I feel so comfortable with him.

Dr & staff were nice, I would not recommend Dr Carl for progressing adult scoliosis though. I saw him 3 times & did not feel confident in him doing my surgery. He seemed unsure how to handle my osteopenia, his initial surgery plan did not address the primary sources of my pain and he suggested surgery would open a pandora's box. I thankfully sought a 2nd opinion in nyc and am 14 weeks post op spinal fusion, pain free & have my life back. I wish Dr Carl would have suggested a referral to nyc.

Dr.Carl performed a triple Laminectomy on me 2 years ago, and I have to say from the day the procedure was done, my quality of life has improved 100%. His approach to the surgery and care there after is a standard all Dr's should follow. He was clear in the expectations of the surgery's outcome and rehab there after. Being 57 this type of surgery has given me back the ability to live a fuller life.

Dr. Carl is an amazing person he is my angel! He did an amazing job on my scoliosis fusion and everything went a step planned I recommend him to anyone's with back trouble!

Outstanding physician. My family and I are so lucky we found him. Takes great care to ensure his patients get the best. Well respected at AMCH so we get outstanding support and treatment from others.

Dr Carl is an excellent Dr. My daughter is a patient of his and when we first met with him we knew he was the right Dr. He told us she needed surgery to have her spine fused. As nervous as I was I knew Dr Carl would take great care of Her. And he did. Would recommend him to anyone
