Worst doctor that I've ever encountered. Rude, lying, late, just think of everything you hope for and expect in a professional, and it's the opposite.

Dr. Bott put me on a treatment program that lessened my nerve pain in my legs caused by back surgery. He took the time to thoroughly examine me and then clearly explain to me what was happening. He is someone that I trust and would recommend to0 anyone. Gene Agress Berkeley Ca.

I was referred to Dr. Bott after my physician of almost 15 years suddenly passed. Losing someone who has not only cared for your physical and mental health but overall wellness hits you harder than expected. Trusting someone new is NOT easy. I know Dr. Stevenson spoke highly of Dr. Bott which is why I was willing to make the drive from Novato to Oakland to see him. I read several reviews online. Yelp, Health Grades, Vitals, Google, etc. When preparing for my first visit I tried to keep an open mind (based off what I read because not all was wonderful). The one thing I can say is true...he does tend to run a little behind. :) If you are on a tight schedule, call the gals at the front desk. Ask if he is on time. You will know if you have room to wiggle, and let them know you will be late, etc. Since I drive from Marin/traffic I've done that and it's worked out. He is thorough. He asks a LOT of questions. He wants to know everything and when you think you've said it all, there are more questions. Looking back to my first visit I am grateful he did this. I feel like it helps him determine who I am, what my history is and what I am facing today. I saw some reviews where people commented they felt he was pushing medications. I did not notice anything like this. Instead, we discussed the pros/cons of switching one for another. I opted to stick with what I was currently taking at a lesser dose. In my opinion he is very kind, funny, knowledgeable and educated. He has been doing this for a long time but I was made to feel welcomed and important each time, never rushed when he knew his next patient was waiting. Removed one star because I'm only into my third visit and was told he no longer takes my insurance. Gaaah! Such a bummer! I will continue to see him "out of network". My co-worker has been utterly destroyed by this monster. She was prescribed a medication by Dr. Bott which has caused her to become crippled. She has aged 20 years in the last year. She is unable to stand up, is bent over double and is unable to swallow her food, resulting in malnutrition and extreme weakness. Dr. Bott refuses to admit wrong doing. He will not give her a work leave. She is coming to work and literally collapsing on the floor. Either this doctor has become too old to practice medicine or he is just a very bad man, avoid him like the plague. I am suggesting to my co-worker that she she Dr. Bott for malpractice. I don't recommend that you entrust your care to Dr. Bott. He is extremely overbooked and it takes weeks to get an appointment. When you do get one expect to wait an hour or more to get in. I was just told by Walgreens that I was denied and had to see the doctor. Even my mechanic let's me know when it's time to come in. No call or reminder. The office said they could see me in 35 and give me 1 more refill. But 1 more refill is 30 pills. It's humiliating and not the care you want from a doctor.

excellent doc - super knowledgeable - super informed re: real life challenges (getting best rate on prescriptions, etc, etc) - caring and trustworthy
