Allan Jay Kaplan

Dr. Kaplan is an extremely capable, intelligent and compassionate Family Medicine physician. He’s very inquisitive and diligent. He strives to provide the best outcome and resolution for his patients. He does not hesitate to order labs or furnish referrals to specialists. He is thorough and comprehensive. I would absolutely recommend him to family members without any reservation. His experience shines through.

Good luck getting them to sign a refill for medications. I’ve been calling for a week now (so has my pharmacy) and have, now, completely run out of my meds, due to their negligence and inability to do their jobs.

I was with Dr Kaplin for 10 years. He never gave me a thorough annual physical. Took temp, BP and reflexes and that was about it. My last visit he treated me like a lepar because I refused the Covid shot. When he was done with his Covid lecture I said I was having other problems and he said he didn't have time and walked out of the exam room. They just called me to come in for a physical and I already had one this year if you could call it that.

Prolonged diagnosis. Beware. Office staff not friendly.

Dr. Kaplan is great. The front office staff is abysmal. They don't return calls and let the phone ring 100 times. No answering service. I will switch doctors because I will probably die on hold waiting for medical care if I stick with this place

Good luck getting a hold of anyone. Kaplan is awesome, office staff, not so much. Took me 10 times to get a referral.

Son had multiple urgent/ emergency issues that required care over the course of 5 months. Dr. Kaplan and staff were completely unresponsive, provided incorrect appointment and referral information, and NEVER even checked to see if he was OK through multiple hospital stays. Completely lacking in patient care. When we needed assistance, he was no where to be found. Then when we complained and asked to speak with him, THE DOCTOR disenrolled himself as our PCP, which created a whole host of other issues with our health insurance. He never once called.

very inexperienced doctor; cares only for your credit card insurance; blackballs you. very simple-minded.

sick doctor: be careful he will take advantage of your insurance. he doesnt give a licking crap about his patients. He will blackball you. he goes on and on not treating your conditions.

completely useless. constantly order same type of blood test with normal results. does not explain crap. no information given. does not diagnose your condition an d pain just for more money from your insurance company and drug company. not truthful on your medical records. false vise you what you are being seen instead of what you really came in for. keeps in pain for months before diagnosing you. be-aware of him. run the other directions.

Dr Kaplan is a rare find, a doctor that listens and cares about his patients. You are included in the decision making about your treatments and healthcare.

I'm very pleased with the medical advice and professionalism given by Dr Kaplan and his staff. He takes the time to explain his prognosis thoroughly. Dr Kaplan is both knowledgeable and personable.

Not worth rating with any stars. Have had the same DR for 20 years, then he retired... switched to this guy, VERY BAD MOVE!!!

Not worth a moment’s notice. If you’re looking for a primary care physician, save yourself time and eventual incompetence, and just sail on by this one. Of course, if you bumped your elbow he’s your guy.

Untrustworthy. Allowed me to suffer withdrawal from medication without help

Worst experiance at a physician ever. Dr. Kapplan is an idiot and his staff is rude and incompetent. Wouldnt reccomend to someone I hated.

Dr Kaplan is a compassionate, smart and dedicated physician. I feel lucky to have found such a wonderful physician in Brunswick.

Dr. Kaplan is a very good doctor. I have been to doctors all over the world and he is one of the best I have ever seen.. He asks questions, and he is very intelligent. If you are looking for a doctor that you are happy to see, look no further.. Dr. Kaplan will be my family's doctor no matter what practice he serves.

Dr. Allan Kaplan, M.D. is highly intelligent, very compassionate, always asks a lot of questions to make sure that the patient is safe to wait until the next appointment. Dr. Kaplan always suggests to schedule the follow up appointments as soon as necessary according to the patient's health. Dr. Kaplan does not have any problems with giving his professional opinions and with the referrals to the specialists. Dr. Allan Kaplan, M.D. has been helping me a lot with all of my health issues.

Absolutely useless, you can get the same level of care at a CVS/ same your time and money and find a better DR.
