Alisa B Cahill

I would not recommend Cahill. She does not provide clear explanation for treatment and provides limited options beyond medication. Have had numerous bad experiences with her and this practice. She is difficult to access and is vague when responding to questions about medication or treatment. I have heard conflicting advice between her and specialists. She and her nursing staff are very unclear and unprofessional when offering instructions about further treatment, and this has led to confusion for myself and specialists. Will be changing my primary care doctor.

Dr. Cahill has been my PC doctor for 15-20 yrs. She explains how she is able to help me, and always takes time to answer all my questions. She's always kind and really cares. Her Nurses are wonderful ! I wouldn't switch doctors for any reason.

Dr. Cahill is very good- takes time to listen and respond to any questions. Thorough treatment and thinks about everything you need and explains options. Shows empathy and understanding with any concerns you may have, caring and genuine.

My son called Dr. Cahill's office on November 20th to ask for a referral for a COVID test because he was feeling very ill. The nurse with whom he talked with was very rude and hateful when she told him that they don't do referrals for COVID testing. I love Dr. Cahill, but this nurse's treatment of my son was totally unacceptable. Where is the compassion? So sad... Dr. Cahill herself is personable. However, she typically latches on to the first symptom of whatever problem you are having and tries to "band-aid" the situation. She is unwilling to allow patient participation in their care. The absolute worst part of this office is the nursing staff, and communication. You will absolutely wait some time prior to receiving ANY results from testing, and don't plan on asking the nursing staff any questions regarding your results, because they can't answer them. Then, as will be likely, your testing will not support Dr. Cahill's diagnosis, so plan on returning to the office for another consultation for the same issue prior to any additional testing being ordered. I cannot speak to any of the other providers in the facility, but I would avoid Dr. Cahill and team like the plague. Office manager is no help. Dr. Cahill herself is personable. Dr. Cahill gets a two-star because after several years of my family and I going to her, she started to get sloppy, visits became rushed, and the front desk staff that represents the doctors lacks courtesy, people skills, and the appropriate customer service skills with being the first face of a family medical practice. My job as the patient shouldn't be too get them in order first. I don't need to be liked but you will respect me, and my family when we have to come in. My family and I left her care after I was called and hung up on from asking clarifying questions about why I received the call. I had to call back to speak with management, which told me the wrong physician's nurse called me and shouldn't have. Wow! So, that made her hanging up on me okay? I never got follow up from Dr. Cahill as I asked, and then ironically appointments started being hard to make, and a nurse who I won't name, said Dr. Cahill was ”starting to get popular”. Subsequently, we left and have found great care elsewhere. A physician should not start treating you like a number vs. a patient just because they are ”starting to get popular”. Dr. Cahill has been my PCP since 2002. She is caring, knowledgeable and takes time to listen. I highly recommend her!

A disaster her and the stuff at front desk and nurses and everybody there also the Olathe radiology that is worst than a 3rd world country medicine don’t go there!

Dr. Cahill has been seeing my entire family, youngest being 4 at the time, since 2004. She know each of us by name and deeply cares about all of us and our needs. We moved here not really knowing anyone. She is by far the best doctor I have ever had in every state that I have lived in. She genuinely listens and is extremely knowledgeable. Dr Cahill is caring, knowledgeable, concerned and genuinely interested in her patients. She takes time to listen and answer her patient's questions. I couldn't ask for a better physician! Thank you Dr Cahill!

I've been a patient of Dr. Cahill since 2001, and I can say without hesitation she's the best MD I've ever had. You don't know how bad your MD is until you see a good one! She's very thorough and you can see that she really cares about her patients. I have recommended her to pretty much everyone I know. Her staff is great too. Never felt more comfortable at a doctor's office.

I have been going to Dr. Cahill for seven years and she is a great practitioner. She is friendly and knowledgeable and takes the time to answer my questions.

Dr. Cahill has been my Doctor since I moved to Overland Park 4 years ago. She is very nice, typically on time with her appointments and I trust her.

Dr. Cahill is phenomenal. She addressed my medical issues straightforward and directly. She wasn't about judging me, but about caring for me and getting me well.

Always very professional and caring. Great eye contact and honest. Takes time with special patients with special circumstances.

Dr. Cahill sees myself, my wife, and our daughter. She is a very knowledgeable family practitioner, and takes the time to answer any questions we have. She is friendly, thorough, and provides excellent care. The rest of the staff at Antioch Family Care is just as courteous.
