Dr. Alicia J Hughes

This Dr.Hughes is an awful listener!! She asked the questions if my baby had any problems, then she just continued to speak over me and would not let me tell her anything. My baby cannot speak, so I am there as a mother that needs to tell the doctor about my baby!! But, if the doctor does not listen the mother or father, who else needs to speak to the doctor? She is also very rough... it's okay to touch my baby in order to check, but she is not a toy!! I hope I never see her again.

Dr. Hughes is very thorough with her exams. She has a great bedside manner with young children, encouraging them to be comfortable with their doctor. She seeks to find the best medical care to meet the needs of young children. I am very glad that she is my children's pediatrician, and I appreciate her excellent care. She has been my children's pediatrician from birth until now.

My sons (11 and 9 year old) have seen Dr. Hughes from the time they were born until present. She is a great doctor. She tries to find a solution to all issues without medicine, if she can. I love that she is not a pill pushing doctor. The kids know they can talk to her and she is always present during our visits.

Dr. Hughes has been all three of my children's pediatrician since they were born. My oldest is 19 now and had to stop going to her when she turned 18. When my middle child was diagnosed with brain cancer, Dr. Hughes treated us like family. She was genuinely concerned and has always been from day one. She gives great service and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Dr. Hughes is a great pediatrician. Very knowledgeable and one of the most caring people you will ever meet. She is genuine and not only feel she is great as a doctor but has become a great friend too.

Dr. Hughes is always kind, thoughtful and ensures my child receives the highest quality care.

Dr. Hughes is great with my son. He loves going to see her. She doesn't over prescribe medicine and will discuss in detail any diagnosis or illness. She even writes out directions so you can take home. Love her!!!

Awesome doctor, very good with children. Doesn't prescribe unnecessary medication. She explains every prognosis and lets us have a say in the treatment.

I was very pleased with her up until the point when she did not listen to me. My son had a cold for nearly two months and I knew something else was wrong. She continued to speak over me and would not let me tell her his symptoms. After three of four times in one visit of trying to speak I finally got her to do a full exam to double check that nothing was wrong. When she did, she realized he had developed an ear infection. Parents choose someone else, it's their job to listen to the mother or father of the children especially infants. Not pleased with her, and I have switched pediatricians.
