As a physician , I highly recommend Dr Harake as the best primary care physician in the area. Many physician colleagues of mine and myself are trusting him as patients . I'm new to S Fla., and a friend recommended Dr. Harake. Had a bizarre experience trying to schedule a physical. I called to make an appointment and it goes like this: First pickup, she immediately puts me on hold. Picks up second time and puts me on hold again. Finally, after determining they take my insurance, we have this convo: "When did you want to come in?" "How about the week of May 16?" "Oh no, he doesn't have any openings until June or July!" "OK, then, when's the next opening?" "I'll call you back in a couple of days; if you don't hear from me, you can call back." Are you kidding me? In all my adult life, if my insurance was accepted, I've never spoken to someone who couldn't schedule an appointment. Mentioned it to my friend, who said, that's odd; Dr. Harake needs to know about this. (Hence, this review.) Anyway, two days later and no call back. Other reviews here mention the woman who answers the phone/at the front desk being incompetent, rude, and unprofessional. No idea if it's the same person. But if the front desk person is so scattered she's unable to schedule an appointment—the most fundamental part of her job—then I'm not inclined to trust her to deal with medical records and insurance, so I feel like I dodged a bullet. I've been seeing him probably close to 10 years as my PCP. As a gay man I feel very comfortable discussing any concerns with him. I've always felt he's shown genuine concern for me as a whole person and not just my physical health. He's been very responsive with me every time I've had to reach out. He's also not afraid to be aggressive with the use of antibiotics when warranted like the possibility of MRSA

Extremely knowledgeable, listens to patient, concise and clear and interactive. Visit was relaxed, not rushed.

Great doctor very caring always makes himself available to answer questions. Even provides his email address. I have emailed him and he responses within hours.

Dr Harake is the best doctor i have ever had. His diagnosis is always 100% accurate and take the time to ease your mind of any troubles. He also is easy to stay in contact with through email or phone calls. I appreciate him more than he knows! I would recommend him to anybody. He is by far my the best and my favorite doctor i have ever had.

Dr. Harake was kind enough to squeeze him in the same day, and Dr. Harake spent the necessary time to listen to and advise him. After seeing my loved one, Dr. Harake urged him to go to the hospital. My loved one agreed. Dr. Harake then immediately coordinated my loved one’s hospital admission with hospital staff and medical specialists. The admission process was fast and seamless, all thanks to Dr. Harake. Dr. Harake kept in frequent communication with hospital staff and medical specialists to ensure tests were ordered and reviewed promptly, and adequate care was being delivered to my loved one. Each day, Dr. Harake visited my loved one and called me with updates. All in all, Dr. Harake saved my loved one’s life with his proper diagnosis and fast action, and he went the extra mile to ensure my loved one was getting the necessary hospital care and was in continuous comfort. The woman who answers their phone and makes appointments is one of the nastiest people I’ve ever dealt with on the telephone. Rude, condescending, patronizing...I’d rather drop dead than step inside that office.

Dr. Harake is by far the best doctor in Florida. When I moved to Fort Lauderdale 11 years ago my friend recommended him. He has been my doctor ever since. He takes a personal interest in your well-being. He is on time with his appointments and doesn't over load his day with a thousand appointment and rush you through.

He has been my doctor for 12 years! Amazing guy who always has the patients best interest in heart! 5* isn’t even close to what I would rate him.

Dr. Harake has been my primary care physician for the past 8 years, with that been stated and by process of elimination, somewhere out there, there is the best primary care physician. Dr. Harake has been my primary care physician for ten years. He is reliable, responsive and compassionate. It gives me great piece of mind knowing that he is my doctor. I feel very lucky to be his patient.

Dr. Harake is my current physician. Very up to date on medical information as well as easy to talk with. He listens to your concerns and issues and is very thorough during your visit. I never feel rushed

I have been a patient of Dr. Harake for over two years now. He is a truly professional Doctor who like to spend time with the patient and explain everything in details. He also give time for asking questions. He really care for the patient's concerns, as it should be, but nowadays is really hard to find doctors like him. Dr. Harake also send my prescriptions right away for which I never waited long on pharmacies. I could not have ask for a better medical doctor. I highly recommended him.

No one in office but Dr. and receptionist; office days/times changed w/o notice; blood draw sent to wrong lab; insurance claims filed wrong; left me w/o my medications for 4 days; I picked up lab report and found FORM LETTER dismissing me as his patient. His prior excellent ratings seem to have been entirely due to his nurse, Eddie, who had quit. HIV/AIDS specialty certificate on wall, so I suspect he wanted no female and/or HIV Negative patients. So inept, he never got paid for visit (HOORAY!).

Dr. Harake is the best primary I have ever had in 66 years!!! So this is one of the best reasons you should change your primary to Dr Harake. We can email him and get an answer usually the same day!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is the best phlebotomists I have ever encountered and does all draws while you are there!!! Plus he spends as much time as you need with him to explain everything fully. I was there for 20 - 30 minutes the other day while we discussed the pros and cons of medical marijuana and testost

Dr. Harake is terrific. His office is not the crazy zoo-like atmosphere that many physicians' office have become. He makes you feel as if you're his only patient and he takes time to listen and actually converse about your health and concerns. He's accessible and always follows up with me. I've recommended him to friends and their experience with him is just as wonderful.

The woman at the front desk did not have my appointment in her book even though I spoke to her twice on the phone. Did not apologize. Completely incompetent.

The front desk is completely incompetent. I made an appointment and when I went in, the woman said there was no record of me even though I spoke to her twice on the phone. She then told me I needed to wait a few hours before the doctor could see me. I couldn't wait that long as I had to get back to work. So I left. She offered no apologies. If you want to see the doctor make sure three times that your appointment is actually in the book.

I'm very grateful to Dr. Ali Harake and came to him after going thru a lot of treatments & meds from a congestive heart failure diagnosis, He welcomed me and spent quality time and professionally suggested ways to manage my condition with less effort. By streamlining the whole process, he actually removed a lot of the burdens placed upon me and thru time answered genetic mysteries through the ordering of proper hematological testings. I previously had a horrendous experience with a GUS ARMENAKIS, MD in Tamarac who never spent anytime assessing my condition. This jerk was so busy he never even came to visit me in the hospital and is concerned about $$$ ONLY ! Ali is a fantastic doctor. He was recommended by a friend and he didn't disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised to see how personable he was, easy going, and professional. Dr. Harake is a caring, compassionate and knowledgeable Physician. My entire family and I go to him and I would recommend him to any of my friends. He helped my family through the end of life care and eventual death of a very close family member with a terminal illness. He won our trust and our hearts with how he kept our loved one's last days pain free and maintained his dignity. He listens and has a genuine concern for his patients.
