Dr. Trento performed open heart surgery on me. He and his clinical team are exemplary. His surgical skills combined with the professional and absolutely amazing ICU staff, expert nursing staff, and hospital in-patient care at Cedars-Sinai made my procedure a success. 5 * On the opposite end of the scale is Dr. Trento's administrative (non-clinical) support team. They are arrogant, they do not demonstrate empathy for patients, and they are very unwilling to help. Remember, his patients are undergoing surgeries which are often the most complex and life sustaining that many of us will ever experience. Patients having open heart surgery need transparency, provision of information in a timely manner, and help navigating the maze of preparation and arrangements that these procedures require for successful outcomes. Much of this was absent in my experience. 2 * Overall 3 * for end-to-end care.

I know this might not be understood by some researching this man for an upcoming procedure,but let me tell you one thing about this man he is a bad m............ He performed a triple bypass on me July 24 2019 and i have Haven’t felt this good my entire adult life. This was my first surgery ever., and his entire staff from start to finish made this an entirely life changing experience. When the procedure was scheduled for July 25 my sister and I made him aware that was the day my dad died from a heart attack exactly 23 years earlier and he did it a day earlier and told us that we were gonna change the meaning of that date.... Did my heart transplant at cedars so greatful for this man

Dr. Trento performed a robotic mitral (heart) valve repair on me in May 2018. I highly recommend Dr. Trento and the Cedars facility. Obviously Dr. Trento has the credentials and exemplary medical history in the coronary surgery area but I wanted to communicate my satisfaction and recommendation to other patients that may be researching this from a patient perspective. I am another totally satisfied customer. Dr. Trento, his staff and the entire Cedars staff has been exemplary. I am so happy I went through the procedure. I feel great today (7 months out). The surgery was very well. The surgery went better than expected and was not nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. My recovery went very well. I was in the hospital for 7 days then by the time I got home, I was already doing things like computer work and getting my life back to normal. I credit this to my cardiologist, Dr. Mark Urman, Dr. Trento, his staff of Physician assistants (especially Dr. Yacoob, great doctor and took time to explain things in detail), Dr. Trento's staff and the entire Cedars cardiac staff. Dr Trento was amazing. He did his job and repaired my valve and aneurysm. I had met with at least three surgeons before choosing him. His staff was helpful and professional and his reputation gave me confidence, as did his meeting with me prior to discuss my options. I also particularly appreciated the way he took a few moments before the surgery to assure me of what he was going to do. Thank you!

As a former employee at Cedars Sinai I knew of Dr Trento's reputation and did not hesitate when referred to him for an AVR in 2015. The Cardiovascular center is well organized and provided me with a lot of pre op information. I liked Dr. Trento immediately. He was approachable and friendly, not rushed. After surgery I was seen by him andor a Nurse Practitioner every day while I was in ICU and a regular room. I had A-fib post op, apparently not too unusual and it was addressed quickly.
