He made me feel comfortable he explained everything very very nicely I was happy.

Dr. Winkler is a caring, dedicated doctor. He listens well and asks all the right questions. I do annual follow with Dr. Winker for TURP done 18 years ago.

Dr. Winkler is an excellent physician. He analyzes your condition from a urological perspective and provides you with his analysis. Dr. Winkler is patient, professional, knowledgeable, explaining (including drawing), and most of all kind. He has the combination of being perceptive, concerned, and yet Direct in a gentle way that calmed and reassured me in analyzing and understanding my issue and treatment - including a sense of humor. This all adds up to his being one of the best doctors I've ever seen with a fantastic "bedside" manner that is almost non-existent these days. Dr. Alfred Winkler, Urologist was an exceptional doctor. His Bedside matter was excellent, and his way of testing was unique, and very much appreciated while doing my procedure. Took his time in speaking with you after, and I was very well pleased with him.For this I give him a 5 Star award.

Now this is a real Doctor.. Dr Winkler is the kind of person that was born to be a Doctor ( with a capital “D”). I remember working with him years ago at Jacobi Hospital operating room and on the darkness day in our country, 911 . Right after the second plane crashed into the Twin Towers. His patient had just been anesthetized and the anesthesiologist asked him if he wanted to continue. Dr Winkler said yes without hesitation.The only Surgeon operating as we were clearing out the other Operating Rooms and everyone was looking out windows and wondering what do we do now . I have sent my husband to him with great confidence recently . He is still the same Doctor I remember. My husband said now that’s a real Doctor . I would recommend him highly. Courteous and respectful staff from check in to check out!

Dr. Winkler was very friendly and courteous. He was very much attention to my concerns and provided good care.

Besides the often lengthy wait to see Dr. Winkler, the appointments to visit always leave me satisfied and feeling like I am in excellent care. The office is clean throughout; all the staff act cordially and professionally. Dr. Winkler is compassionate, knowledgable, and direct. Options are thoroughly explained. I've never left a review for a physician before and don't intend to again. But Dr. Winkler is a wonderful exception.

I am very satisfied with my treatment by Dr. Winkler. My condition has been ongoing, and I feel very grateful to have found him to be my physician on this journey. He has the best bedside manner of any Dr. I’ve ever had. His energy is very calming and he has a kind touch. I always get the sense he really embodies the physicians creed. I highly recommend him.

Great Doctor, the best.

Dr. Winkler is very pleasant and professional. He really listens and explains test results thoroughly. The office staff is efficient, the facility at the hospital on E 68th St is clean, and Covid precautions are followed. There can be a wait to see the doctor but he’s not rushed during a consultation or exam.

Appointment was on time and all staff members were very friendly and helpful.

Annual checkup

Dr Winkler is often a bit late but he is truly worth the wait. He takes real care to define the issue. He answers all my questions and makes sure I understand the diagnosis and what I need to do. He always takes as much time as needed. That is a big plus these days. He also reviews my chart before an appointment. He is a good, honest and caring communicator. I recommend him without reservation.

I had to wait for over an hour, then I was seen for less than ten minutes. I was given a referral and a blood test after a short discussion. The nurse was unable to draw blood on the first try.

Dr Winkler is one of the best physicians I have seen. His expertise, compassion for his patients, and approach to problem solving is everything anyone could ever want in a physician. His office is busy, and getting an appointment with him is not always easy, but he will make time for you, when you need it most.

Dr Winkler is awesome! So kind and warm and very clear. I felt so taken care of and not rushed or judged. He also seems to have a great relationship with his other patients. I highly recommend him.

On first impression Dr.Winkler is a very pleasant and affable person.He’s both very patient in answering your questions or ease your fears.Sometimes you might have to wait a little longer but that’s understandable since he runs a busy office.I hardly answer any survey due to my language shortcomings but I’ll gladly recommend Dr.Winkler on your urology problems.Good luck

I couldn't be more pleased - he was everything I hoped, and then some!

Dr. Winkler is a Dr. that I would highly recommend. This is not the first time I have dealt with him. He not only remembered me, but was thorough in his questioning, explanations and options. I will be seeing him again and consider him my urologist of choice.

I met Dr. Winkler in May 2021. He asked me to take an MRI. After I did it, there was no follow-up whatsoever so I contacted him after a few weeks. No answer the first time. I had to send him another message through Weill Cornell's Connect asking about the MRI results. He finally answered and said that there was an area of concern and that a biopsy was necessary. I asked him what I should do then. He said that he would schedule a biopsy for me for the following month, exactly June 21, 2021. It's October 2, 2021 and I have not heard from him yet. Considering that there was an area of concern, this conduct is unacceptable.

Dr. Winkler saved my husbands life He is an outstanding person and doctor. He has gone to every conceivable length to help him and bring back his quality of life. We cannot thank him enough

Single worst practice I’ve ever seen. Doctor recommended an X ray uptown and said he would call me the next day with the results and never called back. I left 5 messages over one month and had to harass their office to simply get results. Shameful

Horrible experience. Made an appointment months in advance and when my husband showed up, they took his cards and then said the doctor was unavailable in the mornings. No one contacted him. My husband had to move his schedule all around to make this appointment and wasted an entire morning.

Dr. Winkler was supposed to compared current ultrasound tests with the tests of a previous urologist. Despite me mentioning it multiple times he simply didn't acknowledge it. Like completely never acknowledge my questions about "Have you referred to my previous tests like you said you would yet?" Just totally ignored all mention of multiple cysts and was incredibly difficult to get a straight answer/action out of. Had a great experience with Dr. Winkler. He truly cares about the patient, exercises caution to not prescribe drugs when not needed and takes the time to explain issues. I would highly recommend him.
