Dr. Durham is an awesomeAwesome surgeon and IDr. Durham is an awesome physician awesome and I think God think God for him! He helped me through a lot of stuff and I just thank you so much Doctor Durham!

Dr. Durham is the Best Orthopedic Doctor. He has been treating me for years . He is very nice and is really concerned with his patients care. I think he is one of the best Doctors around. Thank You Angela Reeves

I have been a patient of Dr Durham since 1994 when he repaired the meniscus in my left knee. He always zeroes in on the problem and successfully treats it. He's the best, in my opinion and I wouldn't want to see anyone else. He's been successfully treating me for 29 years! Keep up the good work. I highly recommend him!

Dr Durham is the best ! He and his staff seem like they really care. Several family members see him as well. So much knowledge and experience.

After my second round of cortisone shots in both knees, I called the office to tell the nurse I was having pain and swelling in my right knee and I thought I had injured it. He told me I couldn’t be seen for 8 days and to take ibuprofen and ice my knee. I had to take 600 mgs of ibuprofen 3 times a day because the pain was so bad. At my appointment I conveyed all of this to the nurse and he said, “I’m going to say “mostly pain in the right knee.” I told him there was no pain in my left knee. When Dr Durham came in, he never looked at my knee or had a conversation with me about the issue, it was a one way conversation and he said he was scheduling hyaluronic injections if my insurance would cover it in both knees. Two days after my appointment my knee made a popping sound and I felt immediate relief. I called and cancelled the injections and told Sarah why. No calls back from his office. So I called again,no call back. Dislocated knee cap? Perhaps. Disgusted and will never go back.

Dr. Durham provided expert advice about a hip replacement and he has the best, caring staff ever. I definitely recommend

He is a great and caring doctor.

I have seen Dr. Durham for both of my hip replacements and I could have not been more pleased with the results and overall care I have received.

I was having a lot of discomfort in my hip and he gave me a shot in my joint. It helped for about 5 days. However, he was very honest said it might help and it might not but wouldn't hurt. Of course I am still having a lot of pain of the sacroiliac and it also spasms but he wasn't sure what is causing that problem. I appreciated his honesty and he was so easy to talk with. Have another appointment in Sept for another shot and will decide before then if I am going to get one.

Dr. Durham listens and responds openly regarding your health issues. He is very caring, knowledgeable and competent. He is a breath of fresh air in the world of orthopedic physicians. I highly recommend him and his wonderful staff.

I have a genetic disorder Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID), which causes me to have defective antibody production & increased susceptibility to infection, I receive subcutaneous immunoglobulin infusions at my home every 28 days of HYQVIA. However, the complications of CVID are great & include recurrent & chronic infections, chronic inflammatory diseases, autoimmunity, persistent viral infections & most recently, granuloma formations. I suffer with severe chronic inflammation in my back, neck, hips, SI, coccyx, bursa, shoulders, wrists, hands, feet, knee, ankles, etc. Dr. Durham is instrumental in giving me steroid injections in my hips/bursa. I experience crippling pain from inflammation every day of my life. Dr. Durham’s knowledge, proficiency & compassion grants me temporary relief. The injections empower me to be mobile for 3 months. I then return for another injection. We discussed possible surgery this time. Though it’s not what I want, I now believe it’s what I need.

My visit went very well. I came in for hip and knee pain. Was given a shot for both. Was very happy and was on my way in no time at all. Good Doctor.

What a wonderful, caring individual! Dr. Durham is knowledgeable and compassionate about his work. I have seen him for hip, knee and back. Great sense of humor and very personable. I would recommend him and have referred many others to him for their orthopedic needs. I had a fall that cracked my knee cap and got an appointment the same day. I am very grateful for prompt attention to my injury. Thank you Dr. Durham!

I had pain in my right shoulder whenever I moved that arm in a upper part circle as in putting on a shirt or jacket. Dr Durham analysed the problem and administered a shot in that shoulder, completely eliminating the pain.

Dr. Durham administered another cordisone shot and scheduled my right knee replacement surgery at this visit

Dr Durham explained everything to me. He is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He took wonderful care of me.

Dr Durham is always professional and takes the time to explain all details of your procedures with you. He has done several procedures on me, with great results. Also, he always puts you at ease about what he is going to do, both in his office and in the operating room. I love the fact that he always tells a joke instead of being soooo serious. Almost a fun time (almost)!!!

Dr Durham was so great explained everything to me I love that he has great bedside manner O feel that beside being a great surgeon you also need to be able to talk to your patient and listen to them Dr Durham does

I have been seen by Dr. Durham over a period of about 25 years. He is a "Top Notch" doc. He is not a "scafell wielding" doctor and in my judgement surgery is not his first option. I would recommend him highly to both family and friends.

Very good doctor, shows care and concern!

Everyone in the office was nice. Dr. Durham was professional, a good listener and very easy to talk to. He took a lot of time with me and was very knowledgeable. Trust me...I am not going to let just anyone cut into my knees. I will likely have knee replacement but I'm not nearly as afraid now.

Lewis Gale is an amazing facility with the very best healthcare in the area. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for any of the diagnostic services, even with a full waiting area. Specifically, Dr Durham and his staff are the BEST! With Dr Durham you have a highly skilled surgeon who is caring and relatable. They even have a sign in the large waiting room that says if you've waited more than 10 minutes, see the front desk. We can all agree that is unheard of in healthcare today.

I have been more than pleased with Dr. Durham and all of the staff. They are friendly and understanding. The medical care and procedures I have had done have gone smoothly and results are great. I knew exactly what was being done and what to expect.

He has performed several surgeries on me and he’s always been excellent!

I am a new patient of Dr Durham. His office was able to get me an appointment in a reasonable time. He was courteous and talked to me in words I understood. Gave me an exam and prescribed what medication I needed and therapy. Would highly recommend him for your doctor.

Dr Durham has seen me for a couple of different issues. He is always professional and caring. He always explains things thoroughly and takes his time with the patients. I never have to wait either for an appointment or in the office. The office schedules appointments so there is adequate time for each client. Very skilled with cortisone injections.

Good Evening, Dr Durnham came very highly recommended to me when he need arose for an Orthapedic surgeon.. I needed a knee replacement..I was very nervous about the procedure, when my Doctor made a request for consult at Lewis-Gale, I knew once I entered his office, I had made the right decision. The staff , reception ladies were pleasant, and informative, all the staff associated with Dr. Durnham were amazing.. and of course I was very impressed Durnham, he was excellant. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Durham has operated on me 4 times beginning in 1994 with great results each time. I would highly recommend him to anyone need an Orthopedic Dr., or surgeon.

Dr. Durham has replaced a knee for me and my left shoulder. He’s got a great bedside manner and will spend all the time you need in an office visit. His PA Shane is also great.

Appreciate his concern for helping his patients

I 6 back surgeries at Carilion Clinic, with infections, PICC LINES & wound vac for months. So I when I needed another surgery,I went to Lewis Gale. Dr Durham was very professional and very caring. He knew my hesitant for another surgery. He went out of his way to take special care of me.He even saw me in between surgeries that he was doing when I got an infection. I have never had this type of care in my life and.I highly recommend him to everyone. He will take very good of you.

I have been to Dr Durham on 3 occasions he did rotater cuff surgery on my left and Right shoulder several years ago and did a wonderful job I have recommended Dr Durham to several other friends of mine they have been just as happy. His assistant Shane and the rest of his staff have always been just the best as far as I'm concerned
