Alexandria T Phan

Dr. Phan has been treating my mother for over ten years for Carcinoid Cancer. There are very few doctors in the Houston area that can say they can treat this rare cancer. Not only do she know the ends and out about the disease about but she has number one expertise. It took some time to find where she was located but once we did we did not care where she was at we would be there. Its nothing like having a physician that puts your health and needs first. Where other doctors wanted to give up Dr. Phan always has a next plan of action. Without her and God on my mom side I do not think we would have made it this far. If anyone is looking for a number one doctor she is the one to go to and she will never let you down.

Dr. Phan is a WONDERFUL and AMAZING Oncologist!!! We have followed her and wish there was an area to give her 10 stars because my wife and I feel like she always has my best interest at heart and has a level of compassion that is beyond reproach. Her knowledge, ability to explain treatment plans and treat me with the correct chemo makes her one of the TOP professionals in her field. I have stage IV Pancreatic Neuroendocrine cancer and she continues to research and find treatments that assist in my treatment and help me after almost four years. My wife and I wish there were a way to get Dr. Phan and her practice to the San Antonio, TX area as there aren't any Oncologist's that specialize in this type of cancer here and can assure you there is a HUGE need for this type of specialization in San Antonio. We will follow Dr. Phan anywhere her practice is but this is such an accessible region by air travel that it would be beneficial and of great value to have her expertise in this area.

Dr. Phan treated me fourteen years ago and thanks to her I was cured of stage 4 gastric cancer and have lived to see my daughters turn 23 and 20. She is the most caring, compassionate and dedicated doctor I have ever seen. Her commitment to her patients and single focus on doing everything she can to finding a cure is second to none. She took me one-step at a time through a treatment plan and gave me the strength and encouragement to fight a very difficult battle. Besides knowledge and expertise, Dr. Phan understands her patient’s needs and works relentlessly to make sure that she does everything she can for her patients. I am so blessed that she was my oncologist and I wish every doctor could be like Dr. Phan. She is the best doctor but an even better human being. I cannot say enough of good things about Dr. Phan. She was my angel and I can never forget what she did for me. Eternally grateful to her and for her. I love you Dr. Phan. Words cannot express my gratitude for everything!

Dr. Phan is an awesome oncologist and very caring person. She takes the time to explain things in a non-medical way so the patient can understand what is going on with them. She tries to give you the best treatment possible for the greatest outcome!!!

She is awesome and a very thorough doctor. When my husband had problems with the chemo, she made adjustments so he could finish the chemo to fight the cancer and it worked because the last two CT scans show no evidence of the disease. She listens to you and works to find out ways to help you and explains the treatments in terms that you can understand. We are very thankful to her and bless to have her as our oncologist.

Excellent care. Dr. Phan is a wonderful caring Doctor that is very involved with in your treatment. She explains things in terms that you can understand. She also is very good at listening to your concerns and cares. She is truly a life saver.

Dr.Phann and her team have picked me and gave me hope so many times they are not just Dr., nurse..... They are like family they truly care!!!

Dr Phan is a amazing doctor’ her first priority is always her patients and their needs. Her compassion coupled with her expertise makes her one of the top professionals in my opinion- she has had my best interest at heart and has always been there for whatever my needs or concerns might be. Dr. Phan is amazing! I’ve followed her practice for over 4 years. She’s very thorough and caring, and she is willing to spend the necessary time with each of her patients. If ever I have a question regarding my treatment, she takes great care in explaining things for me and my family. She’s a fighter and willing to explore the best options for metastatic disease. Glad to know I am not the only one who follow her wherever her practice is. My GP was relieved that I was able to travel to see Dr. Phan because my GP couldn't think of another oncologist as caring and knowledgeable as Dr. Phan to recommend. Sometimes I would have to wait an hour or more after my appointment time to see her but I know that it's because she gives every patient a lot of time. And when it's my turn, she will spend that much time with me also.

Dr. Phan is extremely knowledgeable about her practice in general but especially concerning neuroendocrine tumors which is my diagnosis. During patient visits she always has the pertinent information and succinctly explains to the patient what the current status is, the prognosis, and the plan moving forward. Even after she left Methodist Hospital, she has continued to give her time freely both on the phone and through e-mails to continue to explain my situation and give me hope.

Dr. Phan has been my doctor since 2011. I could not ask for anyone better. She knows me inside and out and gives me the up most care. I have been stable for the past three years. She knows when I need talking to and when to comfort me. I feel she is one of the best in her field if not the best. I come from Tennessee every three to four months and will follow her wherever her practice needs her to go. She always has the best interest for her patients. I feel blessed having her as my Dr.

Dr Phan is an excellent choice! She is a very caring and compassionate person as well as professional, and intelligent. Always on top of my care and up to date with the latest treatment that fits my care. I cannot express how amazing she has been in my 10 years of cancer treatment.

Dr. Phan treated my father for a carcinoid tumor. She is an excellent doctor and I would highly recommend her. She takes time to listen to the patient and provides excellent health care.
