Dr. Alexander Shiferson

Had a very smooth scheduling appointment process with Ryan! He was so friendly and helpful. maimonides needs more people like him working at the front desk! like seriously other places i call, everyone got attitude but Ryan was amazing! thank you

I can confirm the negative reviews of previous patients that the “doctor” Alexander Shiferson is not a professional. Shiferson is not a specialist and does not understand anything about veins and vascular surgery, does not know how to treat problems with varicose veins, does not know how to get rid of vein thrombosis, and does not know how to treat thrombosis. Shiferson refers patients to the ultrasound procedure only in order to withdraw money from insurance, and someone else does the description of the ultrasound results for him. His experience in medicine means nothing, and it feels like he is not a doctor. He just likes to walk in a white coat and pretend to be a doctor.

Receptionist very rude . Doctor very unprofessional.My husband visited him today having ulcer/ wound problems. Doctor came in for two minutes talking to the Asst not even talk or asked my husband directly why he was there . He told the nurse to run some texts . Her answer was “ we need an Ins. Authorization”.Can not be done today .Why was not done before our visit ?. I was told when I make the appointment that doctor takes new patients after 2.30 because he will do tests They unwrap my husbands leg ( was bleeding) . Then they advised us the doctor had an emergency and left . I don’t think that is true. They wanted my husband to go o home with out using Unna boot rapping . How unprofessional? Doctor not spent 5 minutes with patient. Or look or clean his leg . Disgusting!

Dr. Shiferson is an excellent doctor. He is been my doctor for many years.

Doctor shifferson was very unprofessional unwilling to help me with my DV t's totally incompetent. I would not go to this doctor or recommend him to anyone. He should find a different profession!

The doctor did not even enter the room - he stood in the doorway. I came because I was experiencing symptoms similar to when I had a previous DVT &PE. He only wanted to speak about my varicose veins and how we could get insurance to cover treatment for them. Over staff were great - doctor not so much.

I visited dr Schifferson with the vascular problem. After running tests in his office he just told me that he was not going to do anything for me. When I called my PP who referred me to this doctor her eyes were falling out eyelids from surprise. I wonder if he was able to help anybody at all, if he has proper qualifications to be called MD

Dr Shiferson spent less than 2 minutes with me. He didn't ask about my problem -how long have I had it? What have I done for it? Did I have any tests? He sent me for a sonogram and did not discuss the results. The PA told me that every thing was OK. I NEVER spoke to the doctor to find out what was wrong or what I should do.

Was seen by doctor Shiferson yesterday and I am a current patient of his was in emergency room the day before and he never responded to their calls and told me it was not his responsibility to respond and dismissed me to wound care very rudely. I will not be going back to him again needs to learn how to treat patients

if you have 5 minutes to spare then he's the Doctor for you. The man didn't give me 5 minutes of his time before testing and after. Good thing there will be a report issued and sent to my primary physician. Maybe then I can find out what is going on! If you have a choice DO NOT GO SEE THIS DOCTOR. PATIENT'S OBVIOUSLY DON'T COME FIRST!

Most of the consultation was done by a PA, for about 15 mins and then the doctor walked in, looked at my problem, and without any conversation sent me to a surgeon with no clear explanation. I find Dr. Schifferson to to be aloof, with little empathy, and his bedside manner needs improvement.
