Dr. Olawaiye. Was my saving grace! I have not had the pleasure to personally thank him for saving my life. But I am today! Late in November of 2017 I drove myself to an out of town hospital by the name of Frick. I’ve personally never been to before that very day. For some unknown reason I was led there by my gps. He was the ER Dr. that day. I went in with just some light pressure in my stomach thinking I pulled a muscle or possible hernia. I told him that I was self pay with no insurance. He ran lots of blood work and came back told me everything was good. I looked at him and said... listen I’m not a pill popper I’m not here for pain meds but I’m telling you something is just not right!! He stared at me for a moment and said I’ll be back. About 15 mins later a team came in to take me up for a CT w/contrast ( no insurance mind you) 40 mins or so went by. Then He and his Nurse came in and surrounded me with the news.. advanced Ovarian Cancer. I was devistated!!!! He touched me and his nurse had her arm around me for comfort!!! ( I was not alone) minutes later he entered and had my appointments set up with the top notch Gynecological oncologist at McGees Dr. Kelley and Dr. Dai at Hillman!! I was in the best hands that day!!! They expected me to go home on hospice at my first appointment when I was transported to my local hospital. I was at almost complete liver failure at this time. But I pulled through 8 grueling months of chemo and a complete hysterectomy. I am a walking miracle because Jesus took my wheel and led me to Dr. Olawaiye who properly diagnosed me and put me in the hands of great Doctors alike and the entire team is why I am in my 1 yr remission!!! If you need a procedure like a hysterectomy, this is the doctor you need to see. Intelligent, caring, informative, and simply an OUTSTANDING physician. He will answer all of your questions and treat you with the utmost respect (as if you are his own family). I would recommend him to everyone and I cannot say enough good about him. -Regina M.

Dr. Olawaiye is amazing. He answered all of my questions in a way that I would understand them and had such a great amount of patience. I felt comfortable around Dr. Olawaiye from the moment I met him and he has a sense of humor while maintaining professionalism. I will finally be able to have peace of mind thanks to his confidence, experience, and intelligence. I was able to schedule an appointment for less than one week after calling. I was done with EVERYTHING in about 1.5 hours. Go to him!

This was my first experience with a gynecological oncologist, so I felt intimidated & overwhelmed. I assumed that I could quickly make an appt., but it took almost 3 weeks for my initial exam. It was difficult remaining calm for that long a period of time after first being diagnosed with cancer! I was relieved by Dr. Olawaiye's experience and professionalism. He spoke to me with empathy and respect, and helped to put things in perspective. I had 100% confidence in him as my doctor.
