In my quest to find the cause of my neck and trapezius pain, I have encountered seventeen specialists which included neurosurgeons, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, D.O’s, chiropractors and acupuncturists, none of which were able to ascertain the root cause of my pain. Upon my initial visit to Dr. Nicholas, I was thoroughly impressed with not only his professionalism but also in the effective manner he utilizes the fullest extent of his medical knowledge and training. Being a former college professor of anatomy & physiology; lifelong bodybuilder and powerlifter; and owning a successful personal training and nutrition counseling business specializing in health, fitness and rehabilitation, I’am very astute as to whether or not a doctor understands my condition and more importantly knows how to eradicate or at least reduce the pain. After I relayed the details of my injury and frustration of not being able to find a direct cause -Dr. Nicholas applied manual therapy which greatly reduced the pain. And while the pain was not totally erased, he unraveled a large part of the mystery of why different muscles were spasming causing referred trigger point pain. In summation, in this day and age of doctors overcharging for extended office visits (while in actuality spending fifteen minutes or less with the patient), Dr. Nicholas has my utmost respect as he is indeed a rarity in that he takes his Hippocratic oath seriously, being an exemplary physician and a credit to the field of medicine.
