Dr. Alex A Lazar

This man put me on medication that ruined my life for 5 1/2 years. Absolutely nothing good to say about his office.

Understanding, patient, compassionate doctor..explains everything, to kids and parents..kind.

He carefully listens, thinks details through, lets you to take your time, curious about your thoughts and feelings. Methodical which really helps to sort things out. Have difficulty to communicate his thoughts and explanations. Dynamic, stubborn, not patient.

Very detailed, considerate, gives patients a voice in their treatment

Poor communicator, poor diagnostic skills, poor treatment provider. Need to do better.

Dr.Lazar explains everything you never knew you needed to know. He is kind and makes eye contact when speaking with you rather than typing on his computer as some psychiatrists have been said to do. Lovely offices and staff.

He is a caring doctor helping my son tremendously

Great doctor. He was very caring and listen to all my issues. My work productivity has improved because of him. Very happy with the service.

I called Dr. Lazar’s practice twice, left voicemails both times, and never heard back. Very rude, unprofessional and careless, especially for a mental health professional.

Would put zero if possible. Cavalier and unprofessional. Often wouldn't get me my medication on time. His assistant is mean too. The last straw was when he got into an argument with one of his patients in front of everyone in the waiting room- he had accidentally prescribed her eight times the amount of medication she was supposed to be on for six months! He blamed her for not telling him sooner. This is my second time firing him. I regret giving him a second chance. Mental health patients deserve better than this imbecile. Would put zero if possible. Wow!!! He's the best! I've even recommended a couple friends to him! Love the fact that he remembers details from the past visits, asks engaging questions, and explains EVERYTHING about the medication he is prescribing: the good, the bad and the what ifs. Doesn't get irritated when you ask questions. He's a doctor that get's the job done... not there to be your friend and to be warm and fuzzy. Thanks for your help Dr. Lazar!!! Wow!!! He's the best! DO NOT COME TO THIS DOCTOR! WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME! Essentially I was deep in my depression and ADHD was not helping. Dr. Lazar simply asked ME what meds I should take (all the while I was insanely depressed - I communicated that to him - but he insisted that I knew what pills I needed). This could be pursued as malpractice! Wow, disastrous experience, he seems like he has no experience! The office is a mess as well, with several packed boxed and very few books. 1/5 because there is no 0/5! He is a good doctor, an amazing man and very helpful

Dr. Lazar has been very patient with my son and was willing to try various treatments until we found something that worked. He starts reasonably conservatively, which we greatly appreciated.
