I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Dr. Thomas! This was the best experience I have had in 10 years with a medical professional. I was so impressed that he would sit down and listen to me. He heard my complaint and took immediate actions to fix it. I give Dr. Thomas my highest recommendation.

A while back Dr. Thomas repaired my frozen shoulder/rotator cuff. My shoulder healed wonderfully with hard work. I just came to see Dr. Thomas again for trigger thumb. I was told from a previous medical professional that I was going to need to take a minimum of 3 weeks off for my hand to heal after surgery. I am a teacher and this was devastating to me since I needed both thumbs repaired. I went to see Dr. Thomas and he was able to fix my trigger thumb in the office with a short doctor visit. I was ecstatic. I will soon be going back to have my second thumb taken care of. I highly recommend Dr. Thomas for not only his skill, but also for his professionalism and care for his patients. Down to earth and caring. Got me scheduled for some testing right then and there, as opposed to having to make several other appointments. Explained everything very thoroughly and provided me with options.

Great Dr! I have come back to him multiple times for wrist and both shoulders. He's easy to talk to. Listens to what to you have to say. He has a great sense of humor. And will cheer/ push you to achieve where you need to be. I recommend Puget Sound Ortho to everyone!

Dr. Thomas was very professional during my office visit. He explained the reason behind my hand pain and the different treatment methods that can bring down the excruciating pain. I felt like he is very genuine with his advices and very passionate with his work. An excellent doctor.

He is great. Talks to you as a person not a number. Gives you exercises to do and tells you why.

I have been experiencing tennis elbow from gardening,its been a few months now and it can be surprising painful when lifting or reaching in everyday typical tasks!finally I said to myself enough I am going to see Dr.Thomas(I was lucky enough to meet him 10 years ago)as I needed a flexor tendon repair and he fixed my hand!a few years later when my shoulder started to hurt he but me into physical therapy which fixed the impingement,in other words no need for surgery!now with the tennis elbow he educated me and then offered some in office options same day...nothing invasive and no cortisone which made me happy.This was a blood patch procedure,using my own blood and then injected right into the micro tears in my elbow tendon!a bit sore today as expected but I am completely hopeful..also Dr.Thomas has a funny sense of humor which is very comforting!I would not go anywhere else.Thank you all superior staff aswell!Neely Sipes-May I have been experiencing tennis elbow from gardening,its been a few months now and it can be surprising painful when lifting or reaching in everyday typical tasks!finally I said to myself enough I am going to see Dr.Thomas(I was lucky … More

Not only is Alan a great practitioner, he is an absolute joy to talk to about anything. His wit amazing and is only second to his knowledge as an orthopedist. I highly recommend him and his team.

Injured thumb mountain biking 2 weeks prior to 6 day river rafting trip- a 50th birthday present. Called on Thursday- day of injury and got in next day to be seen w/Dr’s PA. Took X-rays and determined injury. PA wanted to cast but ended up just bracing after hearing my complaints about a cast. She said I could come in Monday and get casted if I thought I had to much mobility. Over the weekend I became concerned I might need a cast and called Monday morning to see if I could get casted and meet w/Dr. They scheduled me to get casted but no appointment times available to meet w/Dr. Went in still undecided whether or not to go on rafting trip. I was full of anxiety about it. Pleaded to meet w/Dr to go over my injury in greater detail and the demands of the trip and get more concise feedback whether I should go or not. The kind lady at the front desk saw my anxiety and went back and asked, yet again, if I could met w/Dr. Thomas. He met w/me and clearly explained my injury in greater detail and told me explicitly “don’t go on trip”. He went further to explain I likely wouldn’t need surgery, or casting, so long as I don’t screw it up in the next two weeks. Will X-ray again in two weeks to make sure all is on track and immobilized for at least 8 weeks. He was full of humor and put me right at ease. Dr Thomas was direct and informative and at the same time caring and funny. He kept it light during an unpleasant procedure that helped make it much more tolerable. And he quickly and successfully treated my issue!

Awesome Doctor

Very professional, informative and cheerful during procedure.

Dr. Thomas and his PA, Maggie are very nice and thorough. They listened to me and answered all of my questions.

He is a very good doctor and takes time with his patient and and cares for there needs and what they think is better for them self he also knows we know our bodies better then he dose so I would not go to any one but him I have had two surgeries from him for carpol tunnel and now carpol tunnel for the left hand and elbow

Dr. Thomas is a friendly and caring physician. He has performed 2 hand surgeries on me, and both times the experience was outstanding.

Dr. Thomas did a carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand eight months ago. I had complications after the surgery. Went to see him and he said he didn't know what was wrong with it and walked out of the room. My hand has not recovered.
