I never write reviews actually I never have, but I felt compelled to right one about doctor Allen Schuricht because I don't understand some of these negative reviews about him that I have read this man truly has the hands of God I had a double hernia operation performed by him and let me tell you I've had many surgeries in my 61 years on this Earth this by far by far has been the best, I had surgery on Monday today's Thursday and you would never know, I have very little pain a little swollen and a little bruising That's it, just amazing not only is doctor Schuricht an amazing surgeon but his bedside manner is absolutely wonderful and refreshing he tells you exactly what's going to happen with no b*******!!! Honestly as I'm reading this I can't believe how good I feel haven't felt this good in 20 years!!! Doc you are amazing thank you for everything you did for me I could never thank you enough!!!

Dr Schurict performed my bariatric lapriscopic surgery in 2001 and was amazing. Also removed gallbladder recently also amazing.

Terrible experience with Dr. Alan Schuricht during a routine appendectomy. After calling his practice to tell them I had to return to the ER for acute 10/10 post-op pain in my left groin (that left me unable to get in and out of bed on my own), he had the audacity to greet me as "crankypants" when I returned to the office for my first follow up visit. He minimized my pain and glossed over my concerns - he even told me "pain can be in our head." Went to the Chief of Surgery over at Penn Presby for a second opinion and was told immediately that my incision was far too low and I had the classic signs and symptoms of a nerve injury. It took me over 6 months to have minimal pain after what should have been a routine, 1-2 week recovery. He also never even came to see me and tell me how the surgery went - this was after telling me in pre-op that I would be "treated like family." Furthermore, I am an RN, and cannot fathom ever belittling my patients like Dr. Schuricht did to me.

Horrific overrated,

My hernia surgery left my with a belly button that doesn’t even resemble what it used to look like. I was in pain for almost 2 months, then sporadic pain over a year later (present day). I now have a lump under my over my belly button that was supposed to subside over the course of 3-6 months and it’s still there and still painful sometimes. Dr. Schuricht recently repaired a inguinal hernia. He is personable, takes his time with you. The surgery was laparoscopic with barely any pain and done at Penn Pennsylvania Hospital, I had no side effects, the surgery went perfectly I would highly recommend him. He also has an office at Penn Medicine in Marlton, which made it very convenient for office visits.

Dr. Schuricht was great. He put me at ease with the procedure and explained everything. I had a double sports hernia repair and I'm playing hockey again at 6 weeks post surgery.
