1st time coming. Waited 2 hours and only seen the dr for 5 minutes. What the heck. Never coming back here again!

i am BEYOND thankful for Dr. Richards. If it weren’t for him my 3 week old son would probably be sick from the bas infection that he had. Thanks to Dr. Richards, we were able to get it taken care of quickly. He’s just the sweetest man ever, and he genuinely cares about his job & patients, he came to the hospital that we were admitted to, to check on my baby & i’m just so thankful for him & his staff that got me in when they heard of my sons condition. i am BEYOND thankful for Dr. Richards. Wonderful Dr. who goes above and beyond for his patients. He is straightforward and to the point, but no problem for me. He performed my son's eye surgery and was wonderful.

Love the environment and the Dr he is straightforward and an excellent Dr.

This man had the audacity to say it would be “extreme child neglect” if I didn’t get my son glasses all because I said I needed to talk to my husband first. Obviously we would do whatever our child needed but honestly I wanted to consult another pediatric optometrist first because I had a bad feeling about him from the minute I walked in there. I did not mind the doctors and the staff, but the OVERBOOKING and WAIT is no joke...no kidding, pack a lunch...I have been waiting for 3 solid hours now with a special needs child. This should NOT be ok to make any child wait that long, much less special needs. They also do not tell you ahead of time that they are going to dilate your child's eyes on the first visit. We have been seeing Dr. Richards for 3 years now for my son's nystagmus. The wait is usually quite long but they do warn you ahead of time to be prepared to be at the office for 2-3 hours because Dr. Richards usually conducts dilated eye exams so they take you back first, he looks at him, then you go back and wait after they administer the dilating drops. All of his staff is always so nice and helpful, and while Dr. Richards does have a bit of a blunt way of communicating, you can tell he cares very much about his patients and has their best interest in mind.

Dr. Richard's did my daughters surgery "Frontalis Suspension" for lid Ptosis to both eyelids (weak eyelid muscles). He did not like being asked questions and came off very rude. Not only did my daughter's eyelids lower in diameters again her stitches went through her skin and it was stated from another medical professional that he did not use dissolvable stitches and she had an allergic reaction. When I called, the staff acted as if it was no big deal. (From the children's hospital in new Orleans) she still has lid ptosis . If I could I would not give any ratings at all. Not a good doctor. I've had to use Dr. Richards due to injury, and am glad for the experience. The staff are warm and very professional.

Dr. Richards has worked with me (I am an adult patient) for the last 4 years and has done a great job. The staff is professional and efficient.

My daughter has been seen by Dr. Richards for 13 years. Yes the wait is always long but it is expected due to the amount of patients he sees. I can tell he truly cares about his patients.

Horrible experience. We waited an hour plus after our scheduled appointment time to be first seen with zero apology. Everyone my child and I encountered in this office was rude. Dr. Richards was rude and rushed through his part of the exam and come to find out gave my child an incorrect prescription, which caused severe headaches. Now I'm out money for useless glasses and a 2d eye visit with another eye doctor. I will pursue this legally to the fullest extent.

He seemed very hurried and rude like. Not very professional and wasn't very compassionate when it came to dilating my 2 year olds eyes.

Dr. Richards and Dr. Coburn are great!!!! I can't say enough about how well they have treated my two girls. The staff is very polite and helpful.

He is a wonderful doctor who I had for over 15 years. He saved my eyes when I was very young and continued to see me as i grew into an adult. I was sad to leave him when I moved.
