I was misdiagnosed twice. He thought I had Hashimoto’s disease but then said no because the antibodies didn’t show up in my blood test. Anyone can research and see that 20% of patients have a negative blood test. Why didn’t he question that test result and delve a little further? He even had tissue from my biopsy that showed I had Hashimotos and chose to ignore it. He missed my thyroid cancer, also. He was snippy with any ?s. It took 3 requests to get my records sent to Duke. Total incompetence!

Dr Kauppi is very nice and throurough. Wish the office wasn't so swamped all the time, it's hard to get appointments and getting refills on medication is almost impossible.

I meet Dr. Kauppi when he treated my husband. My doctor had just retired and I knew I needed someone else to manage my diabetes and thyroid condition. He was just what I had been looking for. He is kind without being syrupy sweet. He is very knowledgeable, he does not tell you what he thinks you want to hear, he is truthful and accurate. He is simply put-the best of his kind. I never want him to know this but...he is simply the best.

Dr Kauppi is the best . He is so smart , he is kind , and takes excellent care of me. He listens carefully, and he has a great sense of humor too. I am very blessed to have Dr. Kauppi caring for me

Dr Kauppi takes time with you to really find out how you are doing. I think he really cares about his patients.
