Where has Dr.Johnston moved? He’s a wonderful doctor and he left where I was being seen and now I can’t find him.

The previous reviewer is completely WRONG about Dr. Johnston and his staff. Me and my two girls had been in a very traumatic situation....a situation we could have never made it through without the help of Dr. Johnston. Dr. J was so great with my kids and was always upfront and honest with me when it came to my care. He made sure to analyze all of my symptoms to see the right medications and/or therapies needed to assist me with moving forward. The previous reviewer on here needs to realize that he was reviewing the receptionist NOT the actual services from Dr. Johnston. When reading these reviews, make sure to base your opinion off the actual services rendered from the person named not the mood of a staff member on a particularly bad day for him/her (or yourself). I am not a fan of online reviews because they can demolish the livelihood of the person who has busted his tail so he can dedicate his life to help others. Dr. Johnston is fabulous and all of his patients are blessed to have him as their doctor. He would still be our doctor if we didn’t have to move 2 hours away. Great work, Dr. J! I would give a negative rating if it were possible. I am moving to the Little Rock/Jacksonville area. I asked several local residents about physician services. I received at least three references for Dr Alan Johnston. When I called the generic phone number from the web it took 15 minutes to reach a person that would say more than "Let me transfer you." I asked the receptionist if Dr. Johnston was accepting new patients. The lady immediately asked for a list of personal information which I felt uncomfortable providing with all the fraud being perpetrated these days. All this to answer the simple question "Is the doctor accepting new patients?" The individual could not answer the question and promised to call me back within a couple of hours. I waited 24 hours before calling back only to find the doctor was now out ill and no answer could be given without his personal clearance. I am a retired professional nurse of 32 years and I was appauled at the lack of knowledge and customer service I experienced. I always told my family, friends and patients the provision of medical care is a consumer driven business and their money or insurance will be welcomed at any health care provider or medical system. It is an injustice to a potential health system consumer, even less to the provider who pays their staff to represent them, to have to deal with such a poorly informed staff. I will chose to spend my hard earned dollars with a provider and health care system that sees the patient as the most important member of the medical dichotomy and I encourage all potential patients to do the same. I've enjoyed Dr Johnston being my PCP. He is patient with me and my limited knowledge in certain areas of the medical field. He explains things so that I walkaway knowing the path of treatment and his end goal for me.

I woke up in severe pain i couldnt move my neck. From my ear all the way down my side was hurting badly. I couldnt use my right arm at all. I called dr Johnston's office to see if i could be seen that day. Almost 6 hours later his nurse called and dr Johnston said i wasnt emergent enough to be seen next appt was two weeks away! I had all ready went to emergent care facility i was diagnosed with pnemonia, the flu and pulled muscles in my neck , back and side. Dr johnston is incompetent.
